Billionaire Alpha's Pregnant Runaway Mate Chapter 1 1

"Where the heck is my room? Did it fly away?" Valeria stumbled upon every step, being tipsy had affected her speech and questioned her sanity. Passing through the golden lit arcade decorated with fancy items and expensive paintings, the lady clad in lavender backless dress felt like flying through the corridor.

"Ugh! Friggin biscuits, where are you? What was the room number?" Valeria yelled in the empty arcade as she skimmed through the numbers of the room.

"Oh! There you are!" She leaned against the door and knocked, then realised she should have the key in her bag. "I should have the key to push into your butt, huh!" Valeria rattled the items in her bag but before she could find the key, someone opened the door.

Valeria lifted her head and her emerald eyes landed straight into a man's champagne ones. The lady felt as if the time had slowed to play tricks on her mind.

She flung her arm out to touch the man's face, her skin touched his nearly trimmed beard. "Oh my goodness! For fucks sake! Are you real, Mister?"

Valeria fantasised about the comic character and concluded that her brain had been playing tricks on her. "Who are you, woman?" Markos's coarse voice fell into her ears making Valeria experience an arrow hit her heart. His glaring champagne orbs tried to inquire about the lady who had just knocked in his door.

"Why are you asking me that, Mr Mono? Don't you know this is my room and you live in my head!?" Valeria' drunken gait leaned over his torso, the lady didn't realize that the man was real and had been standing in front of her physically.

"I don't know who you are and whatever you are doing here, just scram!" Markos didn't want any trouble right before his marriage, he had been staying in the hotel with his wife to be.

He was about to shut the door after scolding her when Valeria pushed him aside, the lady barged inside his suite making herself at home.

"What the hell!?" Markos shouted at her and closed the door behind, the man leaped towards her and grabbed Valeria' hand. He had no clue what she had been doing there, since he hadn't seen Valeria in his engagement.

"I'm warning you, woman! If you are stubborn and firm on your intentions, then I will have to call the cops." He warned her, staring deep in her eyes, making sure Valeria would retreat.

But to his surprise the lady shrugged his hand off and headed straight to the sofa. Whereas Markos became agitated upon her ignorance that she had barged into the wrong suite.

"What cops!? Go away, go back in my head. I just want to sleep." Markos cringed but then inhaled deeply to calm himself, he sat on the bed in front of her.

"Don't you dare sleep here! Is this a sick joke? Are you playing a prank on me with my fiance?" Markos suspected that his fiance must be playing some trick on him, after all it was his bachelor's night and his friends had just gone home.

"What gibberish are you spouting? What bride and prank? Are you high?" Valeria waved her hand and ironically accused Markos for being drunk. She looked around and placed her legs on the sofa exposing her thighs.

"Are you fucking kidding me? Am I high or are you out of your mind?" Markos leaned in and held her hand as soon as Valeria poured water in the glass. In the attempt to tame her the water spilled on her dress neckline, crawling down on her tummy.

"What have you done!? You ruined my pretty dress, it was new for fucks sake!" She began to sob and wailed, while slipping the strap of her dress down on the arms.

"Hey, hey, shush." Markos panicked and tried to calm her, Valeria wiped off her tears. He offered her water and settled her strap, Valeria sipped slowly.

"You are so bad, I didn't know you were an evil character." The man groaned after realising that she had been mistaking him for a character in her head.

Markos stood up to call the hotel management so they could escort Valeria to her own room. "Oh yes, this is Mono Moreno..." The man turned around to glance at Valeria in order to see if she was fine.

But to his expectations the scenario in front of him left Markos speechless. He saw Valeria inspecting the vibrator which was supposed to be used the next day, when Markos would consummate his marriage with his bride.

"Oh my goodness! I didn't know you had ice cream in your room." Valeria' face beamed with happiness as the lady stuck her tongue out and licked the vibrator.

Markos experienced a gush of hot emotions running down in his veins, the man looked down on his lower abdomen. "Oh fuck!" He disconnected the call and lifted his head only to see Valeria put the head of the vibrator in her mouth. Markos immediately glanced at his junior which had caused a visible bulge in his trousers.

The next unfortunate morning Valeria Silas woke up by rubbing her tired eyes. A sharp pang of pain ran through her head and body, the woman held her head and sat on the bed.

"Damn! Getting wasted was a bad idea."

She couldn't open her eyes and it took a while for her to clear her vision. The woman recognized the surroundings and knew it was her room, well since every room in the particular hotel was the same.

"Ugh! Definitely a bad idea when you had a long ass drive too."

She scolded herself in whispers and didn't bother to look around for anything suspicious. Valeria had arrived at the hotel and went right to her room to freshen up, before she could meet her friends and the bride downstairs for drinks.

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I sat on the edge of the examination table, the crinkle of the sanitary paper sounding like thunder in the sterile room. The doctor didn't even look at me as he confirmed the news: the pregnancy was over. My husband, Keyon, didn't answer my call. He just sent an automated text: "In a meeting." When I returned to our cold mansion, I found his iPad glowing with a message from his "muse," Katina. He was throwing her a secret gala tonight-on our third wedding anniversary. He told her he couldn't wait to escape the "boring" and "draining" atmosphere I created at home. Keyon didn't stumble in until 3 AM, smelling of Katina's perfume with a smear of red on his collar. When I handed him the divorce papers, he laughed in my face. He called me a "glorified housekeeper" with no skills and no future, promising I'd be back in three days begging for a subway ticket. He even bet his friends ten thousand dollars that I wouldn't survive a week without his name. He had his assistant cancel my credit cards and block my gate access before I even reached the end of the driveway. He wanted me to starve. He wanted me to crawl. He sat in his office, mocking the "desperate" woman who pawned her three-million-dollar wedding ring for scrap metal just to pay for a meal. I stood on the rainy curb, watching the man I had protected for three years treat my life like trash. He didn't know about the ultrasound I just threw in the bin. He didn't know that while he was calling me "dull," I was the one secretly writing the code that kept his billion-dollar empire from collapsing. As I slid into a cheap Uber, I opened a hidden, encrypted app on my phone. The screen refreshed to a dashboard for an account Keyon didn't know existed. The balance was ten figures long-the accumulated wealth of "Solaris," the world's most elusive tech genius. Keyon thinks he just evicted a parasite, but he's about to find out he just declared war on the only person who can hit "delete" on his entire life.

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran’s "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father’s multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city’s most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins—the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street—and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.
