"How can anyone be so beautiful". I heard a woman say to the group of women beside her. They all looked in my direction and gushed. I walked through the streets of Alaska and felt people looking at and complimenting me. I looked at my beautiful round face, large eyes and long lashes, straight black hair that reached my waist, and my perfect body shaped like a Coke bottle. My legs are skinny and long and everything compliment one another on my body. I am perfect and flawless, no wonder people are gushing over my beauty after all I am a celebrity. I am the Mighty Rebbeca Hadison a superstar actress and supermodel. No Actress in Alaska can beat my beauty and perfection.
"Now it's just me and You". A man in all black popped his head through the curtain in the dressing room of the store I was trying to change into another outfit.
"What?!" I ran into the main store, and he looked scary. " This man is a stalker, he has been stalking me for a while now!" I shouted for the store security to hear. This man touched me again and within the twinkling of an eye, I held him and put his back on the floor, he might have broken a bone, I don't know. I was surprised I could even touch a man because I looked fragile. Everyone clapped and the security men came and took the stalker away from me.
"It's so hard to be fat, when you're fat, you can't control your body. In our country, no one is going to help you, when I enter the bus people look at me with pure disgust. " Jenna said on the TV screen with tears. "Being fat is physically draining but what's more difficult is to deal with getting my feelings hurt." She said, "My Only blessing is good appetite but I'd like to decline that blessing Now". "I want to lose weight" She Finished.
" Jenna here has been living with her inlaws for 7 years and she has been managing the whole house so she didn't have the time to take care of herself" the anchor echoed. This woman looked incredibly familiar but I can't remember anything about her.
"How many inlaws does she have to take care of?" I asked out loud without directing the question to anyone.
"It must be so hard and there are so many, judging from how big their mansion is". The middle-aged woman beside me replied.
"Did they say anything about her husband?" my curiosity made me ask
"He's been doing business overseas and they've lived apart for 7 years" the woman replied me again.
I was feeling sorry for Jenna and hoped they choose her for the surgery when a man came and said he was my driver and that we needed to get going. I quickly asked a woman beside me about the show and she said I could watch the rerun. I left with the man but my mind was so attached to what happened to Jenna, that I couldn't wait to reach home so could watch the rerun.
"Call someone to fix this door security lock and please double-check the whole house to make sure we do not have anyone hiding anywhere," I told the cleaning lady and she stared at me like I had two heads. "What is it? A stalker almost kidnapped me today" I told her. "oh, Okay ma, I'll double check" she replied.... I quickly changed into something comfortable and sat in front of the TV to watch the rerun.
"Now then, I will reveal the results..." My heart started beating fast, I bit the pillow with tears in my eyes and I silently prayed it was Jenna.
" You are watching 45th episode of change...... " I held on to the pillow tighter, if only the pillow could talk.
"Who will be the one to get a full body plastic surgery? Will it be Ms Jenna who has been an overweighed housewife for eight years or Ms Ahley who has been unemployed for five years? Who will be the winner today?" the anchor said dramatically. "Who is it?" I shouted at the TV screen impatiently, holding the pillow tighter.
"The 45th episode of The Change's winner is ........" I could hear how loud my heart was beating, it almost jumped out of its cage.
"Ms. Aaashhleyyyyy..... Congratulations!" the anchor of the show stressed. " what? How can this be?' She got eliminated" I screamed. Hot tears rolled out of my ears and my vision became blurry. No matter how I think about it, it doesn't make sense. Her story was so touching. How can they not give it to her? It's like killing the woman twice. I feel so sorry for her.
I Picked up my phone copied the number of the show presenter on the screen and dialed it immediately. He picked on the first ring " Are you the Producer of The Change Show" I didn't wait for his reply "I am calling about Miss Jenna from episode 45. Without her husband, she lived with a demented grandmother-in-law. How can you hurt someone like that? All the viewers were rooting for Ms Jenna" I shouted over the phone without letting him speak again, I said "Please select her as the winner, otherwise I will file a complaint and sue your company in general"
"Calm down ma, Jenna gave up the show," He said calmly over the phone "What? Why? " I was so confused, what could have happened?
" I can't tell you the details ma but you can read about it on our website" he replied and with that, I hung up the call without saying another word.
I picked up my phone and typed on Google "the change website" and a different link came up on the screen. I clicked on the first link and it took me straight to the change website. I started surfing until I found Jenna's story and started reading the comment.
"Vindicate my Poor friend Jenna...." I read the comment that was posted by Sandra. I clicked on this comment to view the full comment and I cried my eyes out after reading the full story.
Jenna has been married for 7 years and the last time she saw her husband was the day of their wedding, he traveled abroad for business and never showed up. Jenna calls him every day but he only picks up whenever he wants to which is never. She stays with her 6 inlaws in a big mansion and takes care of everyone but they always treat her badly. She later found out her husband had been in the country with her for a long time and she found out her husband was going to marry another woman.
I somehow managed to find Sandra through her profile on the change website and she agreed to meet me because I wanted to know more about Jenna.
"What did you say happened to Jenna?" I questioned the blonde woman standing in front of me with tears in my eyes.
"Jenna is dead" Sandra repeated.
