When I was being tortured to death, my daughter was preparing dinner for her mother-in-law. The last thing she said to me was, "Don't you know today is the day your mother is being discharged from the hospital?! Don't bring bad luck on this auspicious day!" One day later, the hospital received a broken body that needed to be reconstructed. What my daughter didn't know was that the body she had sewn back together with her own hands was that of her own mother, whom she hated the most.

Chapter 1 1

When I Was Tortured and Killed

When I was tortured and killed, my daughter was preparing dinner for her mother-in-law.

The last thing she said to me was:

"Don't you know today is the day Mom gets discharged from the hospital?! Don't spoil such a wonderful day!"

A day later, her hospital received a badly injured body that needed to be restored.

What my daughter didn't know was that the body she carefully stitched back together belonged to her estranged biological mother.

Chapter 1

Wild dogs dug up my body from its grave. After a night of torrential rain, the soil had been washed away. Drawn by the scent, the wild dogs unearthed me from the ground and began to gnaw on me. Blood mixed with rainwater trickled down the soil, winding its way to the road. A street cleaner discovered it and, trembling, called the police. My body, mutilated by the murderer, had been folded into a burlap sack. The chief officer collapsed to the side and vomited.

"What kind of hatred drives someone to do this?" he muttered.

My soul hadn't vanished; it hovered beside my corpse. Is this really me? In life, I had been a woman who loved beauty, but in death, I had become so ugly. There was no trace of humanity left in my face; not a single piece of unscarred flesh remained.

I looked up at the drizzling rain and thought of my daughter, Hana. What is she doing now? Is she eating well? If she knew I was dead, would she be sad? I gave a bitter laugh. How could she be? Hana hated me the most.

A rookie officer ran over to the captain and said they found a smashed cake in the bushes. There were blood marks on it. A cake? My heart suddenly ached. I floated over to the cake. You could just make out two little figures, a daughter holding her mom's hand. Unfortunately, I died before I could even taste the cake.

Instinctively, I reached out to touch it, but my hand went right through, grasping nothing.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
