The CEO's Secret Twins Chapter 1 TCST

"Arghhh ...!"

A girl screamed before her body bounced off and fell onto the asphalt. The little body was sprawled and covered in blood. Thankfully, her head was propped up by the bag she was carrying, but the child had no moans or cries.

"You hit a kid, Boss." William saw with his own eyes that the little girl was blown away.

A man wearing a white shirt exited the car hurriedly, his breath ragged when he saw the little girl lying and covered in blood.

The man who came out from the left side of the car just muttered to himself when he saw the little girl who his boss hit. 'Alana.'

The man called by the boss carried Alana's body. "Willy, you drive. Fast!" Henry ordered before getting into his car.

"Okay, boss." William ran his car through the city streets. Luckily, the road wasn't jammed even though it was busy with vehicles, but it was smooth.

Henry, the CEO of BARA Corporation, still looks young and handsome at the age of thirty year. The man kept looking at the face of the child, who was weak and helpless in his arms due to his negligence while driving the car.

"Boss, is the child still breathing?" William glanced briefly at the rear-view mirror to see Alana's condition; then, he returned to focus on driving.

William kept trying to focus, even though his mind was on the mother of the child his boss hit.

'How do I explain all this?' The man sitting in the driver's seat could only mutter to himself. He didn't tell his boss that he recognized the little girl.

Henry stared at the face of the girl, who was slumped in his lap. The little girl still looked beautiful and sweet, even though she was very pale.

The man wearing a white shirt covered in blood put his index finger under Alana's nose. He breathed a sigh of relief when he still felt the child's breath.

Not long after, they arrived at the hospital. The nurse took Alana to the emergency room. Henry and William hastened to the gurney, which the nurse pushed.

The nurse admitted Alana to the emergency room. Henry waited outside the emergency room. He was afraid something would happen to the child. If something wrong happened, he could never forgive himself.

William approached the boss, who was standing at the emergency room door. "Boss, we better tell her family."

"God, how could I forget, but where do we have to find out? I don't know who her parents are."

Henry remembered the child's bag that the nurse had given him. There may be some info on her family here. Henry handed the pink bag to his assistant.

"Fine, Boss." William took the pink bag. "I will contact Alana's parents soon."

"Alana?" Henry's brow furrowed. "That child's name is Alana?"

"Yes, boss," William answered.

"How do you know? Do you know her?" Henry shot a few questions to his assistant.

"It has a name." William showed Alana's name on the pink school bag. "This must be the little girl's name."

"Yes, that must be her name," said Henry, "you find out the kindergarten and ask them for Alana's parents' number," he continued, pointing to Alana's school name, printed on her school bag.

William nodded, then left in front of his boss. After being further away from Henry, William contacted Alana's biological mother.

"Hello... your daughter had an accident. Hurry up and come here. I'll send you the address." Without waiting for an answer from the person behind the phone, William immediately hung up. He couldn't answer the question Alana's parents would surely ask him.

William returned to Henry after finishing the call.

"I've called the mother," William said. "She'll be here soon."

"That's great." That was all Henry could say. Now, he thought about apologizing to the little girl's parents.

After a long time, a doctor came out of the examination room.

"Are you the family of the little girl who had the accident?" asked the Doctor.

"Yes, Doc," replied Henry, "I am the father."

William widened his eyes when the boss claimed to be the father of the child he hit.

"The little girl lost a lot of blood. For blood type AB, the hospital is empty," explained the Doctor.

Henry was silent for a while after hearing the Doctor's words.

"Please take care of it immediately to get further administration and registration treatment," the Doctor added again before he left.

Henry was very agitated. The grown man kept looking out the emergency room window. Henry wanted to know how the little girl was.

He didn't do it on purpose. Henry would have driven his car slowly if he had known that this would happen.

Even though William had previously offered to drive himself, Henry insisted on going. The result was like this: because he wasn't careful, he bumped into a little girl.

He was ready if Alana's parents were furious with him, and he would take complete and sincere responsibility if Alana's parents demanded it.

Henry continues to be restless. He imagines the face of a little girl in his arms that feels familiar to him.

"Boss, if you want to go home, let me take care of this matter," said William.

"How can I go home if I've caused that little girl harm? What if she's not okay?" Henry gasped excitedly.

William was silent. His lips wanted to open again. However, he undid it when he saw the look on his boss's face, which was getting increasingly agitated.

A nurse came out of the emergency room, and Henry immediately went to the nurse. "Can I come in?" asked Henry, eager to meet the little girl he bumped into.

"Please, sir!" answered the nurse kindly.

Henry nodded. He immediately entered the room while William took care of Alana's registration.

Henry enters the emergency room with mixed feelings: nervous, scared, and sorry. His heart beat faster than his eyes continued to focus on the little girl's face.

Henry's big hand slowly caressed Alana's hand. The little girl's hand was icy. Her head and hands are in bandages.

"Sweet child, wake up! I'm sorry, Uncle, for making you like this. Uncle promised to buy a big doll for you, and we will be friends. Get well soon, okay?" Henry rubbed Alana's hand gently while watching the little girl's pretty face.

'Your face reminds me of someone.'

"Alana wake up- "

"Lana!" The sound of a woman's scream made Henry stop what he was saying and then turn to the source of the sound.

A woman Henry knew very well was now standing on the right side of the bed. The look on her face, which was messy and anxious, was visible. Henry was shocked when he found out the mother of the little girl he hit.

"Amanda..."

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

No Longer Mrs. Cooley: The Architect's Return

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

The Ghost Wife's Billion Dollar Tech Comeback

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband's Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn't find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn't even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father's legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn's party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara's health and managing every detail of Caden's empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I'd drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause-if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I'd forgotten.
