Because Michelle Rivers saw Devon Kai Carter compete in a boxing tournament online and was instantly attracted to him, she decided to enroll in the same sports school as he did, despite the fact that it was only exclusive for boys. In order to enter the school undetected, Michelle had her long and dark beautiful hair cut short and dressed as if she were a boy. But what was even more shocking was the fact that she shared a room with a senior at the school. Her roommate was none other than Devon Kai, the person who was responsible for her enrollment at Goldstein Academy.

My Crush, My Roommate Chapter 1 FIRST MEET

MICHELLE's P O V

''Devon Kai Carter, an aspiring boxer who is twenty-one years old, has already won 20 events and has only lost five. At his school, Goldstein Academy, he is widely considered to be one of the most accomplished boxers ever. Wow!'' While I read his information with the utmost fascination, I noticed that my eyes were getting bigger. He quickly became my new idol in the sport of boxing.

My ex-crush, Joshua Grant, was also a boxer in that school and had won 32 tournaments with only two losses before he completed college. That year, I was on the verge of enrolling in Goldstein to be able to get closer to Josh, but then something unexpected occurred.

My feet were perched up on my desk as I took sips of my bubble tea and purposefully made a slurping sound while I researched Devon Kai's background further on my phone, when I heard my best friend speak.

''Hey, are you sure that this is something you want to do?'' Rina, who was sitting next to me and holding a can of soda in her hand, prodded me in an anxious manner. She was never a fan of bubble tea. ''It's a school exclusive for boys!''

''I know...'' I shrugged as I planted both feet firmly on the floor. ''But guess what, I'm already accepted in Goldstein Academy!''

I turned to look at her, but she didn't appear to be convinced, and her expression gave the impression that she was about to burst out laughing at any moment. ''How on earth did you possibly manage to pull that off?'' she shook her head in disbelief as she took another gulp.

''I enrolled online, dude...'' I answered. ''I edited everything I need-my name, my hair...''

''What the fuck?'' she exclaimed, her mouth gaped open, and eyes widening. ''Seriously, bitch?! Just because of Devon Kai, you... you did that?''

I gave a satisfied nod while a smug grin played across my face.

''But wait!'' Rina raised her palm in front of my face. ''You're going to live in a dorm with the boys! Your secret will be lash out in a flash if you're not careful!'' Rina continued to expound on many scenarios that could play out. ''What will you do if you have to shower? Or change? And what about those? How could you even hide them?'' she pointed on my chest, her eyebrows raised.

''Don't worry, I can handle it...'' I rolled my eyes, chuckling under my breath. ''Besides, upperclassmen has individual rooms. I don't have to worry about changing, taking a bath, and so on and so forth...''

I would never ever miss this opportunity. To be with my crush, Devon Kai Carter. Even if it means cutting my hair short and acting and dressing like a boy so I can be with him, I will do whatever it takes. And of course, the most important reason was to hide from the monster who was chasing after me.

Everything would be alright...

I know, it would...

..........***********...........

I got everything ready, including packing my new acquired loose t-shirts, jeans, and boxer shorts-I winced at the memory of me shopping all of these.

This morning, I asked Rina to butcher my beautiful hair, copying the hairstyle in the photo that I had edited and submitted to Goldstein Academy. She even helped me bind my breasts, and oh boy, it hurts.

Wait! Do I have to bring my brassieres with me?

I thought for a moment before I decided to include them in my bag. In the event that any of my roommates come across it, I'll just tell them that it belongs to my girlfriend. The very idea of me having one made me want to throw up.

''Your room number is 218...'' The man across the counter stared indifferently at me, eyeing me up and down, before he handed me a key, hanging by the tip of his finger and focusing back on his phone and then chuckled on something he read, but when he saw me watching, his face turned serious. He rolled his eyes and waved his hand in dismissal.

Great!

'Guess I'm stuck with a mean dorm master for the rest of the school year.

''Thank you...'' I said in a quiet, mouse-like voice, and I swallowed, suddenly afraid that he might recognize me as a girl.

I cleared my throat, a small sound that surely had an even smaller effect, while a light blush spread across my cheeks, and before he could turn his head to look at me, I pivoted on my heels and headed directly toward the elevator without looking back at him.

''Wait!'' As I heard him say it, I came to a complete and utter stop in my tracks with wide eyes.

''What's your name?'' he asked, and I shut my eyes for a moment before I opened them, swallowing a sudden lump in my throat.

''M-Michael...'' I replied with a shaky breath, not bothering to turn around.

After a while, I heard him let out a long sigh. ''Okay...''

As soon as he answered, I scurried towards the elevator carrying my backpack, and pulling my suitcase. My eyes fastened to the floor as I waited for the doors to close, avoiding eye contact with the dorm master.

I blinked hard against the overwhelming wave of relief, forcing my trembling legs to walk out of the elevator. Pure determination held back the tears welling in my eyes, and I bit my bottom lip to stop it from shaking.

I came to a halt in front of room 218; my hands fluttered with nerves, and I covered my mouth to stop an ill-timed release of energy itching to escape through a scream.

My disguised worked. They believed I was a boy. Michelle Rivers was gone-with-the-wind, replaced by the short-haired and deceivingly flat-chested Michael Rivera.

As I turned the knob into the room I was supposed to be assigned in, I noticed my hands wouldn't stop trembling. I sucked in a shaky breath---cut short by the bindings around my chest-and I wiped my hands against my jeans.

Now wasn't the time to stand still, so I grabbed the knob again, but this time around, a tall shadow cascaded over me. From behind, a built arm pushed me gently to the side and unlocked the door with a key.

I couldn't see his face in the midst of all that, but I followed him into the room anyway. Much to my surprise, he adorned nothing but grey sweatpants.

Damn! It goes without saying that he was attractive, even from behind, thanks to his reasonably tall stature and well-developed physique. His back muscle was clearly visible when he stretched his arm.

''Who are you?'' I began by questioning him, trying to make my voice lower than usual before, but it always sounded fake.

The young man, on the other hand, did not appear to be answering and instead was seen taking boxing gloves out of his bag and tossing them on top of the bed.

Wait...

I seemed to recognize the look of those gloves. It all seemed so familiar, that it was almost impossible. But when he turned around, I was left in the state of shock.

He was a young boy around my age. His hair reminded me of wheat fields that I'd seen in a painting, and his bright deep blue eyes disappeared as he smirked.

The person who let themselves into my room was none other than Devon Kai Carter. Yet the sight of him inside made my eyes feel like they were going to fly out of my head. That event has left me so bewildered that I haven't really recovered from the shock of it yet. He shot me a glance for a moment before dabbing his body, which was drenched with sweat, with a towel.

Warning: 18+ ‘‘Felicia...’’ he whimpered as he entered me from behind. I bit the inside of my lower lip to keep a muffled scream from coming out, which was very close to happening. Marcus positioned his hands on my hips and began to find his rhythm in a way that was deliberate but profound. I arched slightly to allow Marcus to knead my breasts after his hands crept underneath me and into the space between them. While he was rolling my nipples between his fingers, I was having a terrible time stifling the groans that were coming out of my mouth. ‘‘It’s okay, baby…’’ he whispered into my ear. ‘‘Just moan for my name…’’ I rested my cheek against the pillow, my eyelids immediately closed tightly, and every time Marcus thrust into me, I was pushed forward, but his pace was slow, and he always pulled out completely before entering me again, making sure that I took every inch of him. ‘‘Felicia…’’ his voice was shaking as he whispered my name, his hand moved to rub my clit, and I felt like my body was about to explode. The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
