CHAPTER 1
In my world, humans and vampires had always been at odds. I grew up hating vampires, never imagining that I would one day become one of them. One fateful day, humans waged war against vampires, which enraged them and led to a retaliatory attack. One night, I had a vision that the vampires were planning to ambush us, so we prepared for battle and set traps to counter their attack. Our plan worked, and we thought we had exterminated all of them. My father, the leader of the humans, told me to seek safety in his chamber to protect me from any remaining vampire threats. After the battle, it was time to celebrate and rejoice. The night was cold, but the atmosphere was lively and festive. Suddenly, I felt something unusual, but I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. As someone who could see visions of things that would happen in the near future, I was caught off guard by this unexpected sensation. It was as if I was different from my fellow humans in a way that went beyond my precognitive abilities. Little did I know, my life was about to take a dramatic turn.
That very night, amidst the joyous celebration, I sensed danger lurking. Although I had no vision, I was skeptical at first, but the feeling grew stronger, and I couldn't ignore it. I decided to retreat to the chamber of safety to meditate and understand why I was experiencing this fear. As I sat there, a vampire appeared, but I didn't scream. I remained calm, thinking he wouldn't be able to harm me. After all, no vampire had ever breached our kingdom's defenses and reached the chamber, which was designed to protect the royal family and trap vampires. But there was something unusual about this vampire. He was half-human, half-vampire. I could feel his heartbeat and sense his anger, yet I wasn't afraid. His unique energy intrigued me, and I felt a strange sense of calm in his presence.
As he entered the room, his presence was palpable, and the atmosphere shifted. I sensed a deep pain emanating from him, which drew me in. For a moment, I forgot he was a vampire, and I found myself admiring his strong build. I stared at him, transfixed, without noticing he was getting closer. The chamber's alarms and traps seemed to be inactive, and he didn't seem to intend harm. As he approached, I saw how handsome he was, and my fear subsided. He gazed at me intensely, and I felt a connection. He knelt down, and I thought he was surrendering, but then he spoke. "My queen, my name is Troy, and the time has come." I was taken aback, speechless, and my feet felt cold. I tried to scream for help, but he was too fast. He swept me into his arms and vanished into the night. That was the last time I saw or heard from my parents.
