Jada Wilson's P.O.V
The morning sun is bright, and the sunlight is warm and not harsh. The birds keep chirping, and the breeze is cool. The leaves of the plants are covered from the dew drops. The level of noise pollution in the mornings is less compared to the other times of the day.
I drew deep in the morning air and let it out, ready to start the day. I had a blissful night and never wanted it to end but of course, it can't always be night.
“Jada sweetie help me to the door. There is someone there” My mom, Gracia said from the kitchen.
“Okay” I replied, I had just finished adjusting my bed and was now heading to the door.
The smell of morning breakfast filled my nostrils making me salivate.
“Huh.. I'm starving” I announced, rubbing my belly before turning the door knob, but there wasn't anyone on the other side.
“Is this a prank?” I asked rhetorically.
I peeped outside to see if I could get a glimpse of whoever played the prank, but no one was in view.
I was about heading in when something caught my attention, an envelope.
“What is this?” I asked no one in particular.
The envelope had a bold writing saying - A letter.
“Well no doubt it is” I said within and chuckled.
I cleaned the surface with my hands, wiping off the dirt and dust before walking into the house still puzzled.
“Who was that Jada?” Gracia asked, coming out of the kitchen.
“I don't know, I saw this letter lying on the floor.” I said, showing her the envelope.
“Let me see” she grabbed the envelope and scanned it.
“It's for you. Well I don't want to pry into your business. I'll let you sort this one out” Gracia said, handing me back the letter.
I opened the envelope and read its contents.
Westside avenue, now! - was all the letter said.
Still puzzled, I decided to keep the letter away and continue my morning chores as it was way more important than whatever that was.
The notes still filled my head as I continued with my chores. I still wasn't satisfied with it.
I grabbed the letter on my table beside the giant mirror, and opened it again, the content still remained, but this time around I turned the note over. What I found next horrified me, my eyes bewildered as I read the disturbing writing.
“What!?” I whispered, my hands were now shaking as I held the note, trying to comprehend it.
“It can't be. No. It cannot be…” my voice trailed. my eyes followed every writing, word for word, making sure I wasn't misreading.
“This must be a prank, yes. Someone is definitely pulling a prank on me and I'm not going to fall for it.” I said, tears already filling my eyes.
I tossed the letter to my bed, dashed out.
My heart raced as I ran. Thoughts filling my head.
