Chapter 1 1

At the Fiesta Hotel.

"Yes, it's Room 503. He's gonna meet you there."

"Got it." Hanging up the phone, Marilyn swept the room card and went in.

She was sent here by her sister Sandra to deliver some urgent papers to Mr. Hamilton, a critical partner of her family business.

Just as Marilyn was about to turn on the light, a sharp knock came from the corridor.

She opened the door without hesitation.

"Good after..." Marilyn barely finished her greetings when she got roughly pushed back abruptly.

"I need your help," the man said bluntly between ragged breathing.

"S-Sure... But are...y-you Mr. H-Ham...?" Marilyn asked in a shaking voice out of fear. She wasn't prepared for something like this.

"Just follow my instructions. I won't hurt you." Ignoring her question, the man approached closer until Marilyn's back was squashed up against the wall.

In the dark room, Marilyn couldn't see the face of the man. She could only hear her heart thumping.

Intimidated by the aggressive aura exuding from the man, she dared not to utter one more word.

With his body pressed closely against hers, Marilyn could feel the huff of his breath against her cheek.

As the man ran his hands up her sides and back at her hips, Marilyn found her legs so weak that she could hardly stand.

"Damn it! I shouldn't have drunk the stupid wine," Marilyn cursed.

She was at a banquet held in her villa before coming here. Now she felt both dizzy and sleepy, her mind in a complete mess.

She wanted to push the man off her, but her body wanted more of his touches.

Marilyn even felt a jolt when the man pinched her already-stiffening tits, which electrified her blood and skin. The tiny hair on her arms stood on end.

Just as she was immersed in a trance, a clear sound pierced through the quiet room.

"Ahhhh!!!!" Marilyn screamed in shock as the upper part of her body was exposed to the cold air.

The man had tore her dress apart rudely!

Before Marilyn figured out what was going on, she found herself clasped by the waist by the man, her feet in the air.

The next minute, she was thrown onto the bed and the man crawled above her, running his mouth from her juicy lips, to her delicate neck, to her lush breasts, and all the way down to her belly button.

Marilyn finally lost the last bit of strength to resist. Actually, she kind of enjoyed all these touches and intimacy from this masculinity.

After sucking, biting and licking her nipples for like a century, the man's mouth left suddenly, leaving Marilyn feeling empty inside.

Just as she was about to ask for more, the man filled her emptiness with his hardness.

"Ahhhh!!! It hurts! It hurts so much!" Marilyn cired in discomfort.

"It'll be fine in a while. Hang in there." A man's voice came near her ear. It was low and with somewhat suppressed pain.

He thrust in and out slowly at first and then stepped up the pace gradually. After a long while, the man finally stopped and let out a deep breath, and Marilyn had fainted under him.

The room was so dark that the man couldn't see Marilyn's face clearly either, but he could smell her sweetness.

Early next morning.

When Marilyn opened her eyes again, it was as if her entire body had been crushed. She felt pain all over.

After a long time, Marilyn gathered herself and felt someone beside her!

Eyes widening in shock, Marilyn checked herself and realized what had happened.

She was so scared that she felt at a loss. Her whole body was like on fire!

Marilyn was trembling uncontrollably. She bit her lips tightly, and the intense pain calmed her down.

She got off bed immediately and groped for her bag and her phone in the dark.

There were two things next to her phone. She didn't think too much and put them all in her bag.

Then, she put on her coat over the torn dress, stumbling out of the room in pain.

An hour later, Marilyn finally returned to her villa in Fielddell.

Just as she was about to open the door, she heard someone talking inside.

"Why did mom and Sandra wake up so early?" Marilyn thought to herself when her hand stopped on the door handle.

"Mom, you've spent a lot on Marilyn over these past few years. Now she finally became useful. Mr. Hamilton is a lustful man. He only wants virgins. Marilyn happens to suit his taste. I didn't expect that she could earn 2 million dollars for us."

"Indeed. All my efforts have paid off today."

Hearing the conversation, Marilyn was deeply shocked and felt her heart aching badly.

"If other clients make the same request as Mr. Hamilton, we can send Marilyn over again. She's definitely a great help to our family business. I put a pill in her wine last night and it really worked!"

Sandra was very proud of what she had done, and her voice couldn't sound more vicious.

"Remeber to say something nice to calm her down when she comes back home. That idiot will buy whatever we say. She has always been obedient since she was a child. I've invested in her for twelve years in vain. We gotta get something back from her step by step."

Marilyn would never expect that her beautiful foster mother, whom she had always admired, would become so ugly at this moment.

"Mom, it's really a wise decision that you took her home after hitting her while driving. She not only lost her memory, but gotta make money for us." Sandra smiled evilly, narrowing her eyes disgustingly.

Marilyn couldn't believe her ears! She breathed vehemently with anger. Her hand holding the door handle shook.

She thought that she was an orphan brought back home by the Chambers family. Now she knew that it wasn't true.

"She fainted after getting hit by my car. I thought she was dead, so I threw her into the trunk. I had planned to take her out of the city and bury her secretly, but she turned out to survive.

"I then realized that that she had lost her memory. I don't want to be charged with murder, so your father and I lied and told her that she was adopted from the orphanage. She was well-dressed back then and seemed to come from a rich family."

Mrs. Chambers raised her head proudly. Her vicious voice echoed in Marilyn's ears, causing her head to ache badly.

Marilyn instinctively clenched her fist, but accidentally made a noise.

"Who's there?" Sandra's harsh voice sounded from inside.

Every evening, he returns home early, pulling her gently into his arms, his gaze warm with affection and deep longing. The tender passion he shows leaves her no room to escape. I spent four hours preparing a five-course meal for our fifth anniversary. When Jackson finally walked into the penthouse an hour late, he didn't even look at the table. He just dropped a thick Manila envelope in front of me and told me he was done. He said his stepsister, Davida, was getting worse and needed "stability." I wasn't his wife; I was a placeholder, a temporary fix he used until the woman he actually loved was ready to take my place. Jackson didn't just want a divorce; he wanted to erase me. He called me a "proprietary asset," claiming that every design I had created to save his empire belonged to him. He froze my bank accounts, cut off my phone, and told me I’d be nothing without his name. Davida even called me from her hospital bed to flaunt the family heirloom ring Jackson claimed was lost, mocking me for being "baggage" that was finally being cleared out. I stood in our empty home, realizing I had spent five years being a martyr for a man who saw me as a transaction. I couldn't understand how he could be so blind to the monster he was protecting, or how he could discard me so coldly after I had given him everything. I grabbed my hidden sketchbook, shredded our wedding portrait, and walked out into the rain. I dialed a number I hadn't touched in years—a dangerous man known as The Surgeon who dealt in debts and shadows. I told him I was ready to pay his price. Jackson and Davida wanted to steal my identity, but I was about to show the world the literal scars they had left behind.

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.

I sat in the gray, airless room of the New York State Department of Corrections, my knuckles white as the Warden delivered the news. "Parole denied." My father, Howard Sterling, had forged new evidence of financial crimes to keep me behind bars. He walked into the room, smelling of expensive cologne, and tossed a black folder onto the steel table. It was a marriage contract for Lucas Kensington, a billionaire currently lying in a vegetative state in the ICU. "Sign it. You walk out today." I laughed at the idea of being sold to a "corpse" until Howard slid a grainy photo toward me. It showed a toddler with a crescent-moon birthmark—the son Howard told me had died in an incubator five years ago. He smiled and told me the boy's safety depended entirely on my cooperation. I was thrust into the Kensington estate, where the family treated me like a "drowned rat." They dressed me in mothball-scented rags and mocked my status, unaware that I was monitoring their every move. I watched the cousin, Julian, openly waiting for Lucas to die to inherit the empire, while the doctors prepared to sign the death certificate. I didn't understand why my father would lie about my son’s death for years, or what kind of monsters would use a child as a bargaining chip. The injustice of it burned in my chest as I realized I was just a pawn in a game of old money and blood. As the monitors began to flatline and the family started to celebrate their inheritance, I locked the door and reached into the hem of my dress. I pulled out the sharpened silver wires I’d fashioned in the prison workshop. They thought they bought a submissive convict, but they actually invited "The Saint"—the world’s most dangerous underground surgeon—into their home. "Wake up, Lucas. You owe me a life." I wasn't there to be a bride; I was there to wake the dead and burn their empire to the ground.
