My little miss CEO Chapter 1 Death and reinca

"Mom, I'm off to work and I will be heading back home late tonight as I am working overnight. Don't wait for me." Derek talked with his aged mother who sat on the chair, looking at his face. She gently grabbed his hands, "I'm sorry you have to juggle jobs all the time just to afford my medicine and I know my request may sound ridiculous, but can you not go to work today. I have a bad feeling about it, please don't go." His mother said with a shaky voice as she struggled to talk.

"Mom, you worry a lot. Nothing will happen to me. As you know, you gave birth to a strong and able child. Nothing can ever harm me." Derek said with a puffed chest in bid to reassure his mother.

"Okay, but remember to be careful." she said, patting his head.

"Okay, okay now stop doing that, I am not a child anymore." He said as he stood up to grab his shoes before heading out.

Derek has been the one taking care of his mother ever since his dad left with another woman claiming his mother was old and soggy. This led to his mother constantly relying on drugs because she could not take the blow.

On getting to work, Derek saw a familiar figure at the entrance, making him frown. He thought of going through the back door but later decided to approach. Avoiding it would only make him look weak.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, annoyed at the intruder's presence, "as long as I remember, this is a public place, and you can't stop people from going and coming." Angela said, flipping her hair backwards.

Derek furrowed his brows with annoyance. He and Angela had dated each other before, and he could have brought the moon down for her, even though her family, the great Donald family, disagreed with their relationship, he still did everything in his power to please her, until the day he caught her pants down with a another man in her apartment, he was so depressed that period and all she could tell him was that he was not rich enough to her standards.

"Suit yourself." Derek snorted before entering the restaurant.

When he got in, he was called by his boss to go deliver some goods, which he happily accepted because he could not stand being stared at by that irritating bitch. The thought alone irked him.

After he left on his delivery scooter, Derek noticed an upcoming trailer heading for him. He shifted from his lane to another, but the trailer followed him as he moved, and the same circle was repeated over and over again.

Derek was sure someone was after his life but before he could swerve again to the other lane, it was already too late, the trailer had already collided with him.

Derek noticed a blurry figure step out of the truck heading towards him, "In your next life stay away from what is not yours," the figure sneered at him. Derek could recognize the voice as the guy with Angela that day.

Derek sincerely regretted not staying at home like his mother said. Maybe he would not have died in such a manner. His mother, he wondered how she would react to the news, he thought, before taking a deep breath and closing his eyes. He opened his eyes again to see a strange stylish roof over his head, making him confused. This wasn't his house, nor did it look like a hospital.

Derek stood up to walk around, then headed to the bathroom, he stood at the door stupefied. Everything there was made of gold and white and was sparkling clean.

Passing the mirror, Derek paused before turning back once more, his mouth hang open in shock as he held his face feeling confused.

This is Richard's face, the idol of country A, Derek stared at the mirror wondering what he was doing with Richard's face and why his eyes were so puffy.

"You died and entered my body, idiot! I can't believe out of all bodies in this world you had to pick my handsome body, and with the way you gawked at my bathroom, I'm sure you're a poor boy. Oh my God! do you know skin care routines? My skin is too delicate not to be taken care of, go back to your body now, you piece of shit. " A voice rang inside Derek's head.

"Who are you?" Derek said with confusion, "I'm the one and only Richard, who else??" The voice said, then two and two pieced together as Derek understood it all.

What only happened in books and movies had happened to him in reality, but why was his so different? Why didn't the spirit of the previous owner vanish completely?

"You wish, I could hear your thoughts, you know. " Richard snorted rudely.

"I didn't know you were such a talkative and curser.'' Derek stated, marveled at this idol's new behavior.

"Well, you have to give the people what they want to see. That's how it works in this industry, but now that you are controlling my body, I can curse as I like. " Richard replied smugly.

"Why Is your eyes this puffy?" Derek threw another question, curiously touching Richard's face.

"Well my fiancée cheated on me with my older brother, and you expect me to be happy, they are even getting married soon, and they want me to give them my blessings, like what the hell! Dude how can I bring myself to bless those that brought me pain?'' Richard explained in a sad voice.

"Sorry, but what are their names though?" Derek asked in a daze, feeling genuinely sorry for Richard as he too had gone through the same pain, "Angela Donald and Joseph Camefolt." Richard replied, with hate in his voice.

"I think I know why we were brought together into the same body. It's because the same people had betrayed us. I was dating Angela before she cheated on me with a guy just because I couldn't afford a bag she liked for her, but I didn't expect her to be such a bitch as this." Derek explained with clenched fists, as he gritted his teeth with anger.

"So it is settled, we are getting our revenge on them." Richard exclaimed, feeling joyful that he would be finally able to get back at those who hurt him.

"I would help you on one condition," Derek stated seriously.

"What?" Song Li asked, wondering what made Derek's mood change.

"You would allow me to go to my body when this is all over, or you would leave if I am already buried." Derek answered. He knew it sounded selfish, but he had to.

"I choose whether or not I'll leave, but if you have not been buried I will go to your body. I need a break from celebrity life." Richard replied in a tired voice.

"Okay then, let's go get our revenge." Derek said, staring straight into the mirror with cold gaze.

SHANA GRAY

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

While I Was Bleeding Out, He Lit Lanterns For Her

As I lay on the floor of our manor, bleeding out from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I used my last ounce of strength to call my husband, Cole. I begged him for help, my vision blurring. But the only thing I heard was the clinking of champagne glasses and his mistress's giggle in the background. "Stop the drama, June," Cole snapped, his voice cold. "We're about to go on stage. Don't call again." He hung up, leaving me to die alone on the Persian rug while he accepted an award with another woman on his arm. I woke up in the hospital days later. My baby was gone. They had removed my fallopian tube. Cole finally arrived, smelling of expensive scotch and his mistress's perfume. He didn't hug me. He didn't cry. Instead, he leaned over my hospital bed, pressing his knee into the mattress until my fresh stitches tore open and bled. "You embarrassed me by calling an ambulance," he hissed. "My mistress, Alycia, says you're faking it. Clean yourself up." He left me bleeding again to go announce a $10 million donation to Alycia's "groundbreaking" medical research. I stared at the TV screen, numb. The research Alycia was taking credit for? It was mine. I wrote that patent years ago under a pseudonym. They thought I was just a poor, orphan housewife who needed Cole's money to survive. They had no idea I was actually a billionaire scientist hiding my identity. I pulled the IV needle out of my arm. A drop of blood fell onto the divorce papers I had been hiding. I didn't wipe it off. I signed my name right over it. Then I walked into the bank, reactivated my dormant account with $128 million, and bought the penthouse directly overlooking Cole's house. The mourning widow is dead. The avenger is born.

No Longer Mrs. Cooley: The Architect's Return

No Longer Mrs. Cooley: The Architect's Return

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

One Night With My Billionaire Boss

One Night With My Billionaire Boss

Nathaniel Stone

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner-my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn't offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend's apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I'd spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend's face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.
