For her 6th life, she begins to live as Sara. Whenever she is reborn from the age of 14-18 she remembers her past lives but this time around she comes back as a werewolf and finds it hard to regain the memory of what exactly happened. She was born into the Blue Moon pack but to inherit the pack and the company she has to get married in six months. Her memories start to flood in after a while with every possibility the man whom she married and was beginning to fall for was her killer in her past life and the reason why she can't seem to find rest after death. Would she still exert her revenge on him since that's the only way she could get her rest or would she be able to find another way?
Kira could sense she was in trouble.
But her pure heart and the love she had for Elias blinded her, casting a shadow over the reality she refused to acknowledge. Being a very powerful witch and the head of her coven, love wasn't a sentiment she frequently encountered. Things changed when Elias the most eligible bachelor in town set his sights on her and showed interest.
She was willing to go the extra mile for him, striving to bring him happiness at any cost, being her first encounter with love. However, there was one thing she hesitated to do- a potent spell that could weaken her and render her vulnerable, a request from Elias that gave her pause.
Fearing the prospect of losing him, she sought advice from her younger sister and best friend on how to go about the dilemma. She recounted the entire situation to her younger sister, seeking her perspective and opinion.
"I don't see an issue with what he has asked you to do." Blaire, her younger sister reassured her.
"Really?" She inquired, seeking further clarification and perhaps a different viewpoint.
"Yeah because let's be sincere," she paused. "No offense but you don't exactly have a line of suitors waiting for you and we all know why. They are intimidated because you're so powerful and now the only one who has gathered courage to show interest you want to let him go?" Blaire emphasized.
"But at the expense of sharing my powers with him." She sounded devastated and confused, torn between love and potential consequences.
"I think if you love someone you should do anything and everything to keep them. Besides he only wants to prove people wrong that you won't use your powers against him later in the future so I think you should do as he requested." She remarked candidly. "But then it's up to you. Your power, your love life, your choice. I'd always be here to support you." Blaire tapped Kira's back in encouragement.
After much contemplation, Kira pondered what the worst outcome could be. Considering Elias's deep love for her, she believed sharing her power with him wouldn't be such a significant issue.
She ultimately agreed to the plan, hoping it would allow them to marry without sparking gossip. While everyone had urged her to follow her heart, the one exception was Amarae, the oldest witch. Though appearing 28 by inhabiting the body of a young person.
Amarae, the origin of witchcraft, reincarnates by inhabiting a young body in each life, ensuring her ageless presence throughout the ages.
She had also taken a liking to Kira. She guided her like a daughter since Kira's mother passed away during childbirth. Despite Amarae's warning to be cautious of Elias and her sister Blaire, Kira, trusting them wholeheartedly, paid little heed to the caution, firmly believing that neither her boyfriend nor her sister could pose any harm.
On the day of the ritual, Kira had prepared everything for the spell. She started by purifying her space with incense and then drawing a circle big enough for her and Elias to sit in.
She cut her palm and Elias's, joining them together inside a circle, allowing their blood to mix-a ritual to forge a stronger connection and channel energy between them.
"Say with me." She told Elias with their eyes closed as she started chanting the words.
"To intertwine our strengths, let energies entwine,
Blood-bound and united, our powers combine.
As I share my might, let it flow and blend,
With this spell, our magic eternally blends."
In unison, they chanted the incantation and they also switched to Latin.
(Put the Latin part)
A harsh wind started blowing at the quiet darkness as if in protest of the words being declared at the sacred altar. Whispers of ancient spirits echoed in concern, hovering around, their ethereal presence reacting to the unfolding ritual.
Kira shut her eyes tight, squeezing Elias's hand as tears flowed down her cheeks. With each breath, she could feel the power in her soul and body draining away. The very essence that had always coursed through her blood, magnified when she assumed leadership of the coven, now seemed to wane, leaving her acutely aware of the cost of the spell.
Meanwhile, Elias experienced the surge of newfound power and energy coursing through his body, a smug smile gracing his face as he embraced the transformed essence now intertwined with Kira's.
Seeing how weak Kira was, Elias stood up stronger than ever ready to carry out his malicious plans, knowing that it would take Kira days to recover. Kira tried getting up at the sight of her sister entering the room to help her stand on her feet.
Slowly, Kira realized that as weak as she was neither her sister nor Elias was willing to help or embrace her. "Blaire. I need your help," she called out to her sister.
Blaire moved closer but still did not try to help before Kira could move back she felt unbearable pain radiating from her back. As Blaire stepped back Kira looked down at her belly in perplexity at the red blooming from her dress before her eyes fell on the knife used in stabbing her.
"Why?" she managed to say as she coughed and stared at Blaire and Elias.
"You're dumber than I imagined if you guessed for a second that you were ever like a sister to me, you illegitimate child!! You took my father's love away from me the moment that old hag Amarae brought you into our home. You stole the joy I once had and all the focus was on you. I! Was supposed to be the leader of the coven but you did what you do best again. You stole that from me too! I wish you had just died with your mother." Blaire screeched no longer looking humane.
Confusion clouded Kira's mind and blood dribbled from her mouth as her gaze was fixated on Elias this time around.
"Yes! And as for him." Kira continued as she embraced Elias. "He was never yours, he is my lover. Did you think such a fine man would come after you? Ugly looking creepy witch bitch." she rolled her eyes at Kira who was now on the floor eyes wide open and struggling.
"Thank you for your powers. You should have listened to your creepy Godmother." Blaire said with hatred oozing off her pores.
"Yes. Thank you bitch." Elias backed Blaire up and they both walked away.
Kira gulped a lungful of air, more blood gurgling out of her mouth and she knew she was going to die. As she looked at the two figures walking away, rage was the only emotion she had ever known. How had she loved such a horrible man? How had she trusted such an evil woman as her sister? How was she so stupid not to read the signs? All she wanted was a second chance to make them pay for their atrocity.
She wanted them to feel a fraction of the pain or even better times ten of the pain she felt but she couldn't now she was already dying, it was too late. "Oh ancestors what did I do to die this way? Couldn't you give me one more chance for revenge? I would hunt them at any chance I get in life." she thought.
As she felt the last breath remit from her, Kira witnessed Amarae concocting a mixture, chanting words that grew faint, the blur in her sight intensifying, making it difficult to discern the details unfolding before her.
"From the ashes of demise, let vengeance rise,
Rebirth in fury, with awakened eyes.
Seek the shadows that took your breath,
Hunt the hunters, in life after death. May the ancestors grant you that."
Amarae fed her the portion she had mixed after the spell. A small weak smile formed on her face as she saw the woman who had looked out for her from birth and she took her last breath.
