What happens when the weakest Omega, struggling with transformation, crosses paths with a powerful Alpha? Selene, an Omega accustomed to rejection, reluctantly agrees to meet a potential suitor after being pestered by her adopted father, Alpha Faro. Surprising everyone, Riker, the Alpha leading one of the most influential packs, chooses Selene as his Luna. Their love story begins to blossom. However, the couple faces several challenges, one of which sees Selene becoming a constant target for rogue wolves. How will Selene and Riker's bond withstand the trials posed by external threats?

Chapter 1 Selene's Pov.

*Selene's POV.

People say lighting doesn't strike the same place twice... But that wasn't the case for me.

"Selene, I, Alpha Garrick reject you as my Luna."

No problem, I'll try again - That's what I said to myself. Boy was I in for a bitter treat.

"I'm sorry, but I, Alpha Mavin reject you as my Luna."

The most important thing for a female werewolf is to be mated to a powerful and influential Alpha.

But as you can see, my luck is subpar.

Again! I tried again.

"What's this? Your aura is weak, and you say you can only sustain your wolf form for a few minutes. I, Alpha Goro reject you as my Luna."

The circle of rejection kept repeating itself.

I wondered why my life was such a big fat shit hole!

"In just a week, I met 3 different alpha's. None of them wanted me."

I was taking a stroll along the park while ranting to no one in particular.

"What am I doing wrong?"

I stumbled upon a clear water puddle. My reflection was clear like I was in front of a mirror.

My blonde waves framed my face, and while I wouldn't describe myself as conventionally pretty, there was a certain charm to my appearance.

Standing tall, my curvy silhouette added an elegant touch to my frame.

I embraced the uniqueness of my features – not strikingly beautiful, but undeniably magnetic in my way. It was safe to say that I was slightly above average.

"Heck, what am I doing?" I didn't realize that while I spent nearly 10 minutes checking myself out with the pool, I ended up drawing attention to myself.

My head shrunk back and I ran. My destination was my pack.

I arrived at our site. I belonged to one of the smaller packs in the city. But I don't mind, I liked it here. It's close to the forest...

"Good morning Selene." A pack member greeted me.

"Sup Selene." And another.

"How's it going, Selene?" And more.

They're all kind to me. I could never repay them for what they've given me...

The Alpha, Alpha Faro adopted me when I was still an infant, he raised me together with his daughter, Lilith.

"Good morning Dad." I arrived at home and Alpha Faro was in the living room.

"Morning kiddo," He greeted back.

"Where's the evil spawn?"

"Lilith? She's out on a date."

I can't believe that annoying twerp was able to get a man and I couldn't.

"That reminds me," Said Alpha Faro. "I've prepared a list of suitable Alpha's that were looking for a Luna."

Oh shit, here we go again.

"Dad!" I whined and face-palmed before staring at him.

Alpha Faro began feeling uncomfortable. "Come on Kiddo, you can't give up now. Plus, getting a wealthy and influential Alpha as a son-in-law doesn't seem too bad."

I sighed. "Fine," I caved into his impression of a puppy dog.

"That's my girl. Alpha Riker will be here tomorrow, good luck."

This was the story of my life. Honestly, I didn't care about marrying some Alpha or becoming a Rich Luna. I wanted a simple life, but my adoptive parent had his plans. And I can't refuse him, after all, he has done a lot for me.

The next day, Alpha Riker came. He fitted the image of the perfect man. Tall, physically fit, handsome, and dressed stylishly. He wore a black blazer and had an expensive-looking watch strapped to his wrist.

"Alpha Riker." Father greeted him and led him to the dining. I merely stood there admiring his beauty.

Father nudged me with his shoulder. It was his way of telling me to say hello.

"Hello," Alpha Riker greeted me first. I smiled and responded with a "Hello" of myself.

"So, tell me about yourself."

Seriously? He's some rich and powerful Alpha but he's already lacking in the talking department, not that I'm one to judge.

I glanced over behind Riker to see that Father was not in the living room.

"You know what? I'll just tell you all my cons, this will make things easier for us. That way neither of us will get our hopes up."

"..."

"What? Did I say anything wrong?"

"No, It's just, that I got tired of listening to entitled brats bragging about themselves. This should be fun."

"So, I have trouble transforming."

"Okay."

I arched an eyebrow, a gesture that usually sent people packing. However, he remained surprisingly unfazed. It was time to escalate.

"Alpha Faro isn't my biological father, so I don't share his genes," I stated, putting the cards on the table.

He responded, "What a noble man, adopting a child in need."

I couldn't help but question the sincerity in his words. "Here's the kicker – I have difficulty transforming. It's a coin toss, a solid 50-50 chance. And even if I manage to transform, I can only sustain it for about 20-30 minutes. That's under stable conditions; stress and fatigue can cut short the transformation even quicker."

As I revealed these vulnerabilities, his expression remained composed, and I couldn't quite gauge his true sentiments. It was an unconventional exchange, and I found myself in uncharted territory, wondering how he would navigate the intricacies of my truth.

"Is that all?" Riker crossed his arms, eyeing me with an unreadable expression. I simply nodded my head in response.

"Great, I think we can pull this off. I have no issues with you," he declared, the words echoing in my ears. An Alpha, a wealthy and powerful one at that, was willing to consider me as his Luna? It was a concept I had almost given up on.

The disbelief lingered, but hope started to sprout within me. We spent the remainder of the day unraveling layers of our stories, sharing bits of our pasts and dreams. An unspoken understanding settled between us.

As the day progressed, I found myself wondering about the unexpected turn my life had taken. Riker and I agreed not to rush into the mating ceremony; instead, we decided to dedicate a month to getting to know each other better. Every week, we would meet up for a date. Sometimes, it's twice a week.

Surely enough, I grew to develop feelings for him.

Time flies quickly, before we knew it, we had gone on over a dozen dates in 4 weeks.

We were finally ready to take our relationship to the next level. I thanked the moon goddess for finally blessing me with some good luck. Everything seemed perfect.

Maybe too perfect.
