Isabella Jones, a sheltered young woman who has lived her entire life under the watchful eye of her father, is shocked to learn that she has been promised marriage to Alexander Bills, a wealthy and powerful man. Although she expected to marry someone chosen by her father, she never imagined that her husband-to-be would be a handsome young man in his late twenties. However, her hopes of a happy marriage are dampened by Alexander's coldness towards her on the day of their meeting. Isabella's father has always seen her as nothing more than an investment, a valuable asset that will earn him billions through her marriage to a man of wealth and influence. But Isabella is not content to be just a baby-making machine for Alexander, and she wonders if their marriage will be a loveless one. Will they find a way to make their marriage work, or will Isabella spend the rest of her life feeling trapped and unfulfilled? Only time will tell.
Isabella walked down the aisle with her father, taking one step at a time while trying to keep her composure. Her father held her hands tightly as if he was afraid that she would bolt and ruin everything. Isabella had always been a strong-willed woman, but today she felt like some sort of property that her father couldn't afford to lose. She looked around the grand hall, noticing the opulent decorations, the expensive flower arrangements, and the hundreds of guests that had gathered to witness this union of two wealthy families.
Isabella's heart sank as she thought about the marriage that awaited her. It was a marriage that was based solely on merging the two companies, with no regard for love or happiness. She couldn't help but feel like a pawn in a bigger game, a tool to be used to further the business interests of her family. The thought of spending the rest of her life with someone she didn't love, just to please her family, made her feel trapped and powerless.
Despite her reservations, Isabella walked down the aisle with a forced smile, trying her best to hide her true feelings from the world. They stopped in front of her soon-to-be husband, As she gazed upon her husband, she couldn't help but notice his striking appearance. His chiseled jawline was particularly alluring, casting sharp shadows across his face. However, despite his obvious good looks, something was unsettling about his expression. His features were completely devoid of emotion, leaving her to wonder what thoughts were truly going on behind those handsome features.
As the wedding ceremony commenced, the officiant turned towards Alexander and asked, "Do you Alexander Bill take Isabella Jones to be your lawfully wedded wife?" Without much hesitation, Alexander answered with a quick and monotone "I do". His response was devoid of any excitement or emotion, which seemed to suggest that he was uninterested in the marriage altogether. Isabella stood frozen in her spot, her heart sinking with each passing moment. As she stood there, dressed in a flowing white gown, she couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness inside. She knew that this marriage wasn't one filled with love, but rather one of convenience and obligation.
As the priest uttered the words, "You may now kiss the bride," Isabella's heart sank. She had been dreading this moment, hoping that the priest wouldn't say those words. She felt embarrassed and wondered if her new husband would actually kiss her. Just when she was contemplating what to do next, he gave her a quick peck on the cheek and turned away.
Isabella couldn't help but feel disappointed. This wasn't how she had hoped her wedding day would be - a joyous celebration of love and commitment. She had dreamed of a lovely marriage with a man she loved, but instead, she was stuck with a man who found her disgusting and was unwilling to even kiss her. As she stood there, surrounded by family and friends, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she had made a terrible mistake.
The thought of throwing her bouquet and running away from the ceremony and the rest of the world crossed her mind, but she knew deep down that she couldn't do such a thing. She had to be strong and face this new chapter in her life, even if it meant sacrificing her happiness. The weight of the situation felt heavy on her shoulders, but she knew that she would have to carry it with grace and dignity.
As the wedding ceremony progressed, Isabella couldn't help but notice the fake smiles plastered on the faces of the business tycoons that greeted them. It was clear that they were only there to network and make connections, not to genuinely celebrate the marriage of the couple. Isabella herself was feeling quite bored with the whole affair. It was not like it was a joyous occasion for her, as she barely knew her husband.
Finally, the wedding came to an end and Isabella was escorted to the car by her husband. During the ride home, her mind was filled with various thoughts and emotions. She wondered if her husband would try to sleep with her that night, but then she dismissed the idea, thinking he probably wouldn't even try. He couldn't even bring himself to kiss her during the wedding ceremony. So, the rest of the ride went by in silence. Isabella tried to start a conversation with her husband, but he only replied with a stern "yes" or "no," leaving her feeling ignored and insignificant.
As they arrived at the mansion, Isabella's eyes widened in amazement as she gazed upon her new home. The mansion was an architectural masterpiece that exuded an air of luxury and grandeur. The exterior was adorned with intricate details and elegant designs that were a feast for the eyes. As they stepped inside, Isabella was struck by the magnificence of the interior decor. The walls were painted in rich hues of gold and silver, and the floors were made of polished marble that shone like mirrors. The furniture was exquisite, with plush velvet couches, ornate tables, and gilded chandeliers that hung from the ceiling. Isabella couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as she took in the opulence of her new surroundings. The sight before her was nothing short of awe-inspiring. She knew her husband was wealthy, but this level of opulence was something else entirely. The servants, dressed to the nines in matching blue and white and crisp white shoes, only added to the grandeur of it all. As she stood there watching her husband call one of the servants to show her to their room, she felt a sudden realization wash over her. It dawned on her that they would be sharing a room, sleeping together as a married couple typically does. The thought had never crossed her mind until that moment. She had been foolish to think that she would have a separate room. After all, she was a married woman now, and it was expected of her to share a room with her husband. The realization left her feeling a bit unsettled, and she silently questioned her sanity for not having considered this before their arrival.
She took a shower and wore a lingerie nightgown her mom gifted her specially for her wedding night. She looked at herself in the mirror and admired how lovely she looked, her curves were on full display. She noticed her husband entering the room, and she turned immediately to meet the intense gaze of her husband, she watched as he took in her appearance and his pupils dilated, she noticed his eyes burn with intense desire. With a look of longing on his face, he advanced towards her with a seething energy. She retreated step by step until her back was pressed firmly against the reflective surface of the mirror behind her. He held her firmly as he inhaled her scent and started kissing her neck.
"Stop please," Isabella voiced out, she knew it was bound to happen that night but she was not ready.
"Why should I wifey, we are married and it is right for us to make a baby, don't you think,"
He continued kissing her neck nape,
"I'm not ready," she said shutting her eyes firmly to keep herself from giving in, as she felt her body reacting to his touch.
Alexander chuckles and let her go.
"Next time wifey, don't tempt me," He told her as he walked to his corset, to get ready for bed. Isabella went quietly to the end of the bed and lay down, her mind racing with thoughts of her new married life. She couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead for her and Alexander. She knew this was a loveless marriage but deep down she wants this marriage to work.
