Wrongfully Yours Chapter 1 1

Celeste clenched her hands because she was nervous that her fiance might not come. The nervousness she feels is as strong as the thunder and lightning in the sky.

She opened the door of the bridal car she rode in and looked up at the sky. It was too dark around and it looked like it was going to rain.

She looked at the people inside the church whose faces clearly showed that they were in confusion.

She saw her mother coming to her place with a worried expression on her face.

"Hija!" She said while holding his cold hands.

"Mom, why isn't Noah here yet, where is he?" She asked while crying because she was afraid that he might not come.

"We've been waiting for him for a while now but he's still not here." She said as she reluctantly told her the truth that he wasn't here yet.

"I'll wait, Mom, I don't want to leave and I don't want to be sad on our wedding day."

"Hija, he's an hour late, he should have been here a while ago." She said, "And maybe-"

"Maybe what, that our marriage won't go on?"

"Hija, you should rest. I don't want to see you hurt and hoping he will come."

"I do not want to rest Mom!" She said firmly.

After a while, Noah's mother Bernadeth came to them followed by her husband Frank with a small piece of paper.

"Hija!" Noah's mother called her. "You need to read something." She added.

The paper she was holding was handed to Celeste's hand and she quickly opened it. Noah's handwritten letter opened to her and stated, "I don't love you anymore. Forgive me but our marriage will not go as you wanted."

Her heart felt like it was going to explode from the pain she felt and she immediately released the paper she was holding and fell it into the ground the tears she had been holding back completely fell.

Celeste went to one of her friends who was standing by the big door of the church. She came closer and hugged her tightly. "Celeste, calm down," said Celeste's friend Jane while gently stroking her back.

"How can I calm down?" She wiped her tears and held out his palm to his friend, " "Lend me your cell phone," Celeste said.

Her friend immediately gave her, her cell phone and immediately called Noah. When Noah answered her call, she immediately spoke, "Noah it's true.... is what you wrote true? Are you even serious?" She asked as her heart beat faster.

"Don't try to call me again. Maybe it's better to forget me and every word I wrote is true." He said and immediately ended the call.

The phone fell from her hand. She swallowed hard because of the pain, the pain she felt in her heart was unbearable. She collapsed where she was and abundant tears rolled down her cheeks.

They prepared for this day to come but he left her alone and in tears. Celeste loved Noah more than herself but he did nothing but hurt and betray her.

The people in the church were looking at her with pity on their faces. Her mother came to her and wiped away the tears that were still falling. She hugged her daughter tightly. Celeste's mother's embrace helped a little to ease the pain she was feeling at this time. She stood up slowly and looked directly into her mother's eyes.

"Mom, I want to say something,"

"What is that hija?"

"I'm pregnant and Noah is the father." She said directly. Her mother's face showed shock.

"Hija," She said softly. She shifted her gaze to Celeste's fiance's parents and suddenly she rushed toward them with an angry look on her face.

"Tell your son that he cannot leave my daughter, because she is pregnant and the father of the child is your son! The marriage must go ahead! Find him." Her mother said continually that almost shouted.

"Please, just calm down. We don't even know where our son is. We don't even know that something unexpected will happen today. I am also a woman and I feel the pain your daughter is feeling." Noah's mother answered Celeste's mother.

"I can't just calm down here. My daughter is a woman who needs to have a husband!" Celeste's mother responded.

Celeste feels so much pain these days that she feels like she will die from the pain. The man she thought would love her completely, only left her among the people close to her. Shame, sadness, and pain are in Celeste's entire system. She wanted to get mad and shout to the world why all this happened to her. She is just a simple girl whose only dream is to marry the man she loves.

Ten months later, the baby's loud cries could be heard throughout the public hospital room.

The nurse held the baby in her arms as she hurried upstairs to the bedroom where Celeste lay.

"Your daughter is very beautiful, congratulations, your daughter is a girl,"

said the nurse Celeste smiled as the nurse handed over to her only child.

After a while, Celeste's mother entered her room with fruits and was surprised to see her granddaughter in Celeste's arms. She quickly approached and took the baby from Celeste's arms.

"My granddaughter is very beautiful. What will you name her?" Asked the mother who didn't even look at Celeste because she was too amazed by the beauty of her granddaughter as if she was holding a precious treasure that she didn't want to give to anyone.

"I'm going to name her Stacey Alessandra Williams."

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
