Caroline ran away on the night of the official Mating ceremony following a misunderstanding with her soon-to-be mate, Alpha Maximus, leaving him in a bad situation. In order to avoid damaging his reputation, Alpha Maximus hastily hired a temporary bride: Lillian, who was willing to sell herself. However, he never asked why she accepted his offer for money. He married her and for years took her body and soul, fulfilling his desires in bed, until his ex-fiancée, Caroline, returned to take everything. We were riding in a limo. He was going to his father-in-law's funeral, but he seemed strangely glad about the passing. He held me close, placing me on his lap, and embraced me with a forceful, intense kiss, as if he never wanted it to stop. Feeling uncomfortable, I pulled away and gave him a strange look. He smirked in a disturbing and lustful way, then slid his hands between my legs while whispering in my ear, "I'm going to leave a mark on you right here and now."

Chapter 1 1

Lillian's heart skipped a beat as she read the message that appeared on her phone screen. It was a bold and daring proposition from the woman who had once captured Alpha Maximus's heart, the woman who had left their lives four years ago. But Lillian was no ordinary woman, and she reveled in the challenge that lay before her.

A sly smile formed on Lillian's lips as she made her way to the bedroom where Alpha Maximus stood, his commanding presence filling the room. Her steps were confident, her eyes brimming with a mischievous spark. She approached him with a mixture of determination and allure, her voice laced with intrigue as she asked, "Alpha Maximus, shall I call her and inform her of our unique connection?"

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Alpha Maximus responded, his voice tinged with arrogance, "There's no need for that, my dear. I've already set the wheels in motion. The divorce papers are being prepared as we speak." Lillian pretended to mourn their impending separation, her eyes welling up with false tears, but her mind was already racing with possibilities.

As Lillian turned to leave, Alpha Maximus's grip tightened, pulling her into an embrace that sent shivers down her spine. Their lips met in a passionate kiss, igniting a fire that burned between them. Lillian's mind wandered to the woman who had sent the provocative message, but she knew deep down that her place by Alpha Maximus's side was not so easily relinquished.

Breaking away from the embrace, Lillian playfully suggested, her voice dripping with seduction, "Perhaps we should exercise caution, my love. After all, our reunion may stir up envy in the heart of the woman we once held dear." Alpha Maximus, fixated on Lillian's enchanting presence, dismissed her concerns with a possessive kiss, their desires intertwining in a dance of longing and lust.

Lillian gracefully excused herself, claiming the need for a refreshing bath. As she closed the door to the bathroom, a mischievous glint sparkled in her eyes. She knew the power she held over Alpha Maximus, the game they played of desire and pursuit. And she reveled in every moment of it.

Four years ago, Caroline, the woman Alpha Maximus had loved, had vanished due to a misunderstanding, leaving their wedding in shambles. In her absence, Lillian had stepped into the role of Alpha Maximus's wife, a role she played with finesse despite the whispers and accusations from the outside world. The truth hidden beneath layers of deception was known only to their families, a secret that fueled their unconventional bond.

Lillian's thoughts drifted to that fateful day when Caroline had disappeared, leaving behind a void that she, with her striking resemblance, had been destined to fill. While the world saw her as a mere substitute, Lillian knew that her allure extended far beyond her appearance. She had become the embodiment of Alpha Maximus's desires, a woman who captivated him on more than just a superficial level.

Emerging from her bath, Lillian's mind buzzed with plans and strategies, her creativity fueling her ambition. She dressed meticulously, adorning herself with an air of confidence and allure. As she descended the stairs, her steps were purposeful, her smile radiant.

Approaching Alpha Maximus, who was still engrossed in his dinner, Lillian leaned in and placed a tender kiss on his cheek. With a playful glint in her eyes, she teased, "My dear Alpha Maximus, did you forget to invite me to this sumptuous feast?"

He responded, his voice filled with tenderness, "I couldn't bear to disturb your peaceful slumber, my love. You looked so serene in your sleep."

Lillian kissed his cheek again, her voice sweet as honey, as she called out to the kitchen, "Emma, I'm famished. Please bring me something delightful."

Emma, a warm and jovial presence, emerged from the kitchen, bearing a tray filled with Lillian's favorite dishes. Her eyes twinkled with affection as she placed the food before Lillian, who praised her with genuine gratitude.

As Lillian savored the flavors, Alpha Maximus wiped his mouth and spoke, his voice filled with affection, "Lillian, my mother is alone at our residence. Would you be so kind as to keep her company? My father is away on business, and I'm sure she would appreciate your presence."

A smile played on Lillian's lips as she responded, her voice laced with warmth, "Of course, my love. I shall go to her immediately."

As Alpha Maximus prepared to leave, Lillian rose to her feet, her eyes locked with his. She pointed to her cheek, a playful twinkle in her gaze, and whispered, "Before you depart, my dear Alpha Maximus, how about a goodnight kiss?"

He approached her, his lips brushing against her cheek ina gentle caress. "Sleep well, my love," he murmured before bidding her farewell.

I was finally brought back to the billionaire Vance estate after years in the grimy foster system, but the luxury Lincoln felt more like a funeral procession. My biological family didn't welcome me with open arms; they looked at me like a stain on a silk shirt. They thought I was a "defective" mute with cognitive delays, a spare part to be traded away. Within hours of my arrival, my father decided to sell me to Julian Thorne, a bitter, paralyzed heir, just to secure a corporate merger. My sister Tiffany treated me like trash, whispering for me to "go back to the gutter" before pouring red wine over my dress in front of Manhattan's elite. When a drunk cousin tried to lay hands on me at the engagement gala, my grandmother didn't protect me-she raised her silver-topped cane to strike my face for "embarrassing the family." They called me a sacrificial lamb, laughing as they signed the prenuptial agreement that stripped me of my freedom. They had no idea I was E-11, the underground hacker-artist the world was obsessed with, or that I had already breached their private servers. I found the hidden medical records-blood types A, A, and B-a biological impossibility that proved my "parents" were harboring a scandal that could ruin them. Why bring me back just to discard me again? And why was Julian Thorne, the man supposedly bound to a wheelchair, secretly running miles at dawn on his private estate? Standing in the middle of the ballroom, I didn't plead for mercy. I used a text-to-speech app to broadcast a cold, synthetic threat: "I have the records, Richard. Do you want me to explain genetics to the press, or should we leave quietly?" With the "paralyzed" billionaire as my unexpected accomplice, I walked out of the Vance house and into a much more dangerous game.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.
