"Poor Alondra, finally falling for someone, yet, he is the one she cannot have.'' ** "Can a heart be broken when it's already stopped beating?'' Seraphina asked, while she stared at the moonlight. "I suppose not." "Then strive to be so, Alondra. Your love for the Alpha tears you apart. What happens when you finally see him mate with another? Will you break? Or will you finally stop holding your breath..." *************** Raised in a classic Cinderella story, everyone believed Alondra Greene was cursed. With a stepmother who hated her and two step sisters who mistreated her, she couldn't have it any worse. However, having fallen in love with the only good thing in her life, her best friends, and soon to be Alpha, Weston Pierce, she is just unsure of everything. What happens when Weston is to assume the new role of Alpha and the responsibilities that come with it? Can Alondra caution the fall that comes with being abandoned by him and having to bottle her feelings for him? The Alpha's Mysterious Friends Chapter 1 Unfathomable hate

Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there was a powerful Lycan King named Alpha Jerri Bullet. He was feared by all, for his cruelty and merciless ways knew no bounds. Jerri was known to enslave humans and werewolves alike, using them for his pleasure and as soldiers in his army. Under his reign, the land had become a place of fear and oppression. But despite his tyranny, there were those who still dared to do otherwise.

Those who had totally different stuff all mapped out, ready to go down, regardless of his tortures.

Gracie's POV

I took a deep breath as I sat outside my father's compound, trying to steady my nerves. I'd been working my life out since dawn, and for years now, but nothing seemed to be changing. I tried to discard my fears and focus more on the cool breeze brushing against my face, but my heart raced with anxiety.

Suddenly, I heard my father's high pitched voice calling out to me from inside the house. I jumped to my feet, my heart pounding in my chest, as I rushed inside to meet him. But as soon as I entered the house, my father's expression turned dark and furious.

"You useless creature!" he hissed, grabbing me by the arm and dragging me into the kitchen. "You can't even keep just a simple house clean, idiot!" His eyes burned with nothing but real hate for me. "Why can't you be more like your mother?" He sneered. "She was a true woman, not like you, a weak and pathetic bunch of nonsense!"

I flinched at his words, feeling the weight of his disappointment and contempt yet again. My mother had died when I was young, and I'd always felt like a disappointment to him because of my missing werewolf abilities.

But I tried to push those thoughts aside, focusing on the small glimmer of hope that still burned inside of me.

In a blink, father threw a dish at me, and I barely managed to dodge it. I tried to stand up for myself, but he was too strong, and I was just too scared to resist. He dragged me to the sink and shoved my head under the running water, forcing me to scrub the dishes he just ate with, with my face.

I felt tears streaming down my face as I struggled to lift my head as the waters began to choke me, and quickly, I began to scrub the dishes, but I refused to let him see me cry. I knew that if he sensed weakness in me, he would only become more brutal. So, I gritted my teeth and scrubbed harder, trying to block out the pain and humiliation.

As I finished doing the dishes, father glared at me with contempt. "You're nothing but a burden to me!" he spat. "I should have sold you off to the Lycan King when I had the chance. At least, that would've profited me more than letting you stay here with me, causing me nothing but heartaches all the time, idiot!"

The mention of the Lycan King sent shivers down my spine. I'd heard stories of his cruelty, and I knew that I would never survive as his slave. But I tried to push those thoughts aside, focusing on the small glimmer of hope that still burned inside of me.

Someday, I will escape this life and find a way to fight against the tyranny of those like my father. Until then, I must endure and survive, no matter how mercilessly I was treated.

"Maybe I should just sell you off to him now," my father continued, his voice cold and menacing.

I felt a surge of panic at his words, but I tried to remain calm. "Please, Father," I pleaded. "Don't do this to me. I'll do better, I promise."

But my father just laughed in my face. "You're nothing but a worthless creature to me, Gracie!" he said, before he turned and walked away.

I sank to the ground, feeling the weight of my situation crushing down on me. But even in my despair, I know that I must never give up hope. Someday, I will find a way to escape and fight against those who seek to oppress me.

As I sat on the kitchen floor, I could feel my resolve strengthening. I couldn't keep living like this, always in fear of my father's wrath and the Lycan King's cruelty. I needed to take control of my own destiny and find a way to escape.

With that thought in mind, I started to formulate a plan. I knew that I couldn't do this alone, but I also knew that there were others like me who were also oppressed too. I needed to find them and work together to escape.

But first, I needed to escape from my father's compound. I couldn't do anything if I was stuck in here, under his watchful eye. So, I started to look for a way out, scouring the house for any weaknesses or vulnerabilities.

As I searched, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. My heart raced with fear, but I forced myself to stay calm. It was just my father, coming to gloat about how he was going to sell me off to the Lycan King again as usual.

But when the footsteps stopped outside the kitchen door, I froze. I heard the sound of someone clearing their throat, and then a deep, unfamiliar voice spoke.

"Excuse me, miss? Are you alright in there?"

I was taken aback by the sudden interruption, but I quickly realized that this might be my chance to escape. I stood up and rushed to the door, throwing it open.

In front of me stood a man, tall and broad-shouldered with piercing green eyes. He was wearing a cloak, and his face was partially hidden by a hood, but I could sense that he was not one of my father's workmen.

Maybe I thought wrong though.

"Who are you?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

The man bowed slightly. "My name is Benedict," he said. "I was passing by when I heard shouting. Is everything alright?"

I glanced over my shoulder, realizing that my father was nowhere in sight. I turn back to Benedict, feeling a spark of hope.

"No," I said. "I mean- yes." I replied, confused. "Things are alright with me."

Benedict nodded, seeming to understand. "I may be able to help," he said. "But- it's good everything is okay."

I nodded, feeling a rush of fear. This may have been my chance to escape and start a new life. But the fear of what my father was capable of doing, intoxicated me to stupur.

Benedict nodded and left.

I stood there, confused and blinking like the belly of a frog.

The Pierre Hotel smelled of old money and stale ambition, but all I could taste was the copper of my own rage. I stood in the back of the ballroom, a "mute" shadow in a silk dress, watching my sister Brande play the grieving saint on stage. She wiped away a fake tear, telling the crowd I was too "unstable" to attend my own engagement party. In reality, I was watching her share a secret, intimate squeeze with my fiancé, Chase Sterling, right under the blinding spotlight. When I finally hit "execute" and projected the video of them together in a hotel suite for the entire elite crowd to see, the room went cold. But the nightmare was just beginning. Instead of apologizing, my father crushed his scotch glass and told me to fix the mess. He demanded I issue a public statement claiming I had a mental breakdown and "hallucinated" the whole thing. "If you don't corroborate the Deepfake story, I'll have you committed to a facility with barred windows," he hissed. Brande just smirked from the corner, mocking me for being a "mute waste of space" who didn't even realize my own trust fund had paid for the diamonds around her neck. I realized then that in this family, silence wasn't a disability—it was a target. They thought because I didn't speak, I didn't have a voice. They thought they could use my silence to bury the truth and save their precious stock prices. They were wrong. I didn't just leak a video; I had the keys to every secret they ever tried to hide. I walked out of that hotel and straight into the black sedan of Julian Curtis, my father’s most ruthless rival and the only man who knew what really happened the night of the blizzard in Aspen. I handed him the encrypted files that would trigger a hostile takeover of my family’s empire. As the city blurred past, I looked at the man who held my future in his hands and typed one final message on my phone. "I'm not here to be saved. I'm here to be the knife."

I lived as the "scarred ghost" of the Stephens penthouse, a wife kept in the shadows because my facial burns offended my billionaire husband’s aesthetic. For years, I endured Kason’s coldness and my family's abuse, a submissive puppet who believed she had nowhere else to go. The end came with a blue folder tossed onto my silk sheets. Kason’s mistress was back, and he wanted me out by sunset, offering a five-million-dollar "silence fee" to go hide my face in the countryside. The betrayal cut deep when I discovered my father had already traded my divorce for a corporate bailout. My step-sister mocked my "trashy" appearance at a high-end boutique, while the sales staff treated me like a common thief. At home, my father threatened to cut off my mother's life-saving medicine unless I crawled back to Kason to beg for a better deal. I was the girl who took the blame for a fire she didn't start, the wife who worshipped a man who never looked her in the eye, and the daughter used as a human bargaining chip. I was supposed to be broken, penniless, and desperate. But the woman who stood up wasn't the weak Elease Finch anymore; she was Phoenix, a tactical predator with a $500 million secret. I signed the divorce papers without a single tear, walked past my stunned husband, and wiped the Finch family's bank accounts clean with a few taps on my phone. "Your money is dirty," I told Kason with a cold smile. "I prefer clean hands." The cage is open, the hunt has begun, and I’m starting with the people who thought a scar made me weak.

I was at my own engagement party at the Sterling estate when the world started tilting. Victoria Sterling, my future mother-in-law, smiled coldly as she watched me struggle with a cup of tea that had been drugged to ruin me. Before I could find my fiancé, Ryan, a waiter dragged me into the forbidden West Wing and locked me in a room with Julian Sterling, the family’s "fallen titan" who had been confined to a wheelchair for years. The door burst open to a frenzy of camera flashes and theatrical screams. Victoria framed me as a seductress caught in the act, and Ryan didn't even try to listen to my pleas, calling me "cheap leftovers" before walking away with his pregnant mistress. When I turned to my own family for help, my father signed a document severing our relationship for a five-million-dollar payout from Julian. They traded me like a commodity without a second thought. I didn't understand why my own parents were so eager to sell me, or how Ryan could look at me with such disgust after promising me forever. I was a sacrifice, a pawn used to protect the family's offshore accounts, and I couldn't fathom how every person I loved had a price tag for my destruction. With nowhere left to go, I married Julian in a bleak ceremony at City Hall. He slid a heavy diamond onto my finger and whispered, "We have a war to start." That night, inside his secret penthouse, I watched the paralyzed man stand up from his wheelchair and activate a screen filled with the Sterling family's darkest secrets. The execution had officially begun.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.
