She Is Mine Alone Chapter 1 1

Audrey's pov*

I sat still as the maid dressed me up, I was decorated with ornaments all over my body, I wore a long tight red wedding dress that had no hands revealing my shoulder.

Today is going to be the day my Father would be selling me out for wealth. My father is a king, but a king in a small pack. For greediness and wealth he sold of all his daughters to rich men far and wide the pack and doesn't even care how we feel

"Audrey!!" My immediate elder sister called my name immediately she entered her room

Am Audrey, a werewolf and a weak one, we are Known to be called the Omega, these are Werewolf who have no say in anything, we were weak and have no skills in fighting and controlling our wolf form, unlike the Alpha, which is the strongest, the Beta, delta and the rest of them who are way more stronger.

"Please leave us" She instructed the maids who were helping me dress up, and in return of training respect that had, they bowed down to her and left

"Are you fine?" She asked with concern

How would I be okay, when I am getting married to someone I don't know.

"What about mom?" I asked her, changing the question she asked

"You know there is nothing mom can do about it, we all have to accept our fate" Kelly, cupped my face with her hands

"I'm sorry I can't do anything about it, but I know that one day Father will regret it," she said. I smiled at her, she was the best sister I have ever had

"Do you know the person is getting married too?" I asked because Kelly had been the one leading our troops to war, she is a Beta werewolf, so she is supposed to know many of the men. She was more like a Man in the form of a lady, many suitors had come for her, but father would not let her marry any, because he needed her in the pack.

"According to father, he is an Alpha and his pack is the largest and head of all packs, so you don't have to worry, you are getting married to a rich family" She wanted me to feel better, but I wasn't feeling it

What if the man doesn't love me?, I heard he was forced to pick a wife too, what if I get treated badly in his pack

As if sensing my mind, Kelly made me stand up and smiled at me

"There isn't any"if" in life, you get treated badly, write a letter and send to me, and I promise to deal with anybody that hurt my sister" She said with pride, I felt stabbed in the heart and hugged her tightly "if I could only fight for myself"

"It's okay Audrey, I need to leave now before your greedy father starts looking for me" She release herself from the hug

"Now smile!" She commanded me with a huge smile on her face, I didn't want her to get all worked up about me, so I smiled faintly, she looked at me once more before stumping out of my room, and I was left again to wonder with my thoughts.

Not long after Kelly left, the maids came back into my room

"My lady, your father said to tell you that, you shouldn't do anything that would implicate embarrassing him"

That's all he loves, all he wants is his happiness, he doesn't think about our feelings, I wonder if we were really his daughters. What should I do? Should I run away? But where do I run to, I Know nobody, I was more like a prisoner in my pack.

I didn't know when tears rolled down my eyes and Nica rushed to me

"I am sorry my lady, I didn't know what I said would have hurt you, I shouldn't have said it"

I don't blame her, it was her job to say whatever the Almighty King ask her to do, if doesn't want to receive a though punishment

"Why me Nica?, Why us? Aren't we like other pack princesses, why do they have to choose the one they love and father choose for us, was it our fault that our pack isn't rich and powerful?" I lamented heavily, the burden was too much to bear. Nica sat down with me on the bed and placed my head on her chest, as she comforted me. It wasn't something a maid and a princess are to do, but I don't care anymore I really need someone who would comfort me.

The door to my room opened, revealing to my mom, she was the last wife of my father. My father had married two wives before my mother, He was an Alpha, he could Marry as many wife as he wants, Men had privilege to do so, but Women are regarded as nothing, we were just use to fill up empty spaces

"Audrey!!" She came close to me and hugged me tight. She was crying, which mother would be happy to see her daughter taken away by an unknown by force, just because the father had made the other

"You don't have to worry about anything, I begged Kelly to escort you back to where you would get married, and she would come see you Everytime" Mom said as she patted me on my back, I was relieved a little, at Least I would be seeing a part of my family member.

"You just have to be yourself, Everything would be fine" that Same word I would never believe

The door opened again, and a maid came in

"My lady, your groom has arrived" she bowed down and left. Today is going to be a day I would never forget a new beginning of my life

"Don't be nervous Audrey, let's go" she held my hands and helped me up, and we headed to the throne hall, where the wedding is going to be held.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran’s "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father’s multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city’s most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins—the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street—and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.
