what happens when she meets him and later his pack? Exactly what happens when He sees She and smells her scent? What happens when both face each other?

MY Matee Chapter 1 1

Kate, you better pay attention to your surroundings ..

Surroundings?

"Kate! Love! are you thinking about your friends again?

Please don't be so sad!

We'll be right there and if you keep sulking to yourself Aunt Heather will be sad too!

She's so intrigued by you and offered us to move in with her. We always really only had the best in mind for you. You know that, don't you?" my father answered. His voice sounds slightly worried.

"No-Of course Dad! I know it's not easy for you either and I'm very grateful! I-I'm sorry the sky just made me think. It's pretty dark a- an- and I hope so a thunderstorm doesn't move directly over to us!" I lied to calm him down and take his mind off the topic.

Now they think you're peeing your pants like a little girl just because of the thunderstorm ..

No. Daisy. No.

"Of course I know that the rain rate is pretty high here, but I hope that when we get to Aunt Heather's we'll bring her good weather! And she'll be all the more glad to see us.", I added quickly added. I tried very hard to look calm and hoped they would buy it.

"Oh dear, she'll be over the moon when she sees you, even a storm doesn't bother her." It came from my mother with a smile.

There you see Daisy. Haha

yeah you me too...

_____________

When we finally arrived it was actually raining. Which made me sigh. I don't mind rain per se. I love the smell of rain! However, it was almost stormy here and the thunder could not be ignored. Just as I was about to get out and just run into my aunt's big house, someone stopped me.

"Kate my favorite niece!!!

Come here and let me hug you! You look lovely if I may say so!", she chuckled after

cradling me in her arms.

"Aunt Heather, I'm your only niece too. Thanks anyway. You look great too, considering we're both soaking wet now." I couldn't help but roll my eyes and laugh at that.

"Don't you think it would be better if we go inside?" She just gave me a crooked look and started to grin after I asked my question.

"But But Kate we don't mind a bit of water. And I remember telling you to just call me Heather sweetie! But I can see you're shaking, are you cold? Or is someone

scared from thunder and lightning?" She raised an eyebrow in surprise.

The cat is out of the bag Kate!

Daisy, please shut up.

You would like that

YES!

I shook my head almost imperceptibly to block out Daisy's further comments and told Heather that I was indeed cold. She immediately took my hand and hurried into the house with me.

From the inside it just looked wonderful. The house had enough space for my parents and I and it was just stunning.

Until now, my aunt Heather was the only one who lived in this house. She is a sought-after author and earns very well. Otherwise she probably wouldn't have been able to afford this dream of a house. She has furnished it very elegantly, but I recognize that it reflects her character.

Most of the walls and floor are white. The furniture is cream and gray in color and modern in style. You feel right at home here.

I'm about to get acquainted with my new room, get rid of my soaked clothes and take a shower.

Aunt Heather was so happy that we were finally with her and chatted away with us as we stood in the living room. After what felt like 100 hours, she noticed that we were still soaking wet and after my parents had brought most of the boxes and bags from our car into the house, she led me to my long-awaited four walls, as she called it.

"If you still need any help unpacking or have anything else on your mind, just let me know. Or if you're more concerned about thunder and lightning..." Aunt Heather offered as she leaned against my door and watched me check out my new room.

But she didn't get any further because I rolled my eyes in the middle of her sentence and interrupted her.

"Heather Blitz and Donner aren't exactly my best friends, but I'm big so you don't have to worry. Okayyy? I think I'll get the unpacking going."

1.60 are not really big.

Daisy! This isn't about my size! But about the principle!!!

"Oh dear, I don't doubt that, I know that you're very good at handling everything. But you should know that you can always talk to me. About anything.", Heather grins and she winks at me.

I had turned to a box to look for some clothes and underwear because I just wanted to take a shower after a hard day. I turned to Heather in perplexity when I heard the words ABOUT EVERYTHING.

I looked at her puzzled for a while.

Until we both burst out laughing. Because we both knew that she was thinking in two ways.

She even wiped a tear from her face. I agreed that I would contact her if I had something on my mind and she walked out of my new room. She was so sympathetic to me and she seemed more like a good friend than the sister of my often strict mother.

Heather and I hit it off from the start we were a fun duo.

You mean trio!

I love you too Daisy hahah

Me too you kind of hahaha And now get your ass in the shower!!! It's half past three and you still have to unpack some boxes! So hop hop.

It's okay, I'm going!

Said and done.

After I finished showering, I wiped my hand over the sink where there was a large mirror. I looked into my blue-grey eyes and admired the patterns in my iris. If there was one thing I really liked about myself, it was my eyes. I sometimes hated my long brown hair, which almost reached my hips, because it often didn't want to be the way I would like it to be, which is why I often end up putting myself in a bun or braid.

The ironic thing is that after a while, after I put them up, I loved them. Because as soon as I freed my hair from my hair tie, it was beautifully wavy. I have a thin or petite figure. I still have curves in the right places, it's in my mother's genes. Even Aunt Heather has curves despite being so skinny. I dried my hair and got changed.

I'd spent an hour unpacking and organizing the rest of the boxes and was pretty out of breath so I threw myself on my back on the bed, exhausted.

That's what happens when you hurry to death you dumbass!

Oh Daiisyy leave me alone!

I just wanted to get it over with okay!

That's what you look like too hahahaha

I ignored Daisy because my bed was so soft!!!! My room is generally a dream. The walls are here in a beautiful light blue. My bed is not small like my previous one and only for one person. NO it is a four poster bed. The bedding is dark blue and I just love it. Next to my bed is a large window with a bench. There are purple and cream colored pillows on it. To my right is a white desk and to my left is a shelf where I have already stowed my countless books.

I could have raved more in my thoughts, but my mother's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Kate, I see you've already set up your room. By the way, dinner's ready dear."

"Okay. What's for dinner mom?"

"Spaghetti with meatball sauce.

Come on."

My eyes widened. Spaghetti ! That is my favourite food!! I got up quickly and ran to my mother, who was already laughing. We walked downstairs and ate together.

In the meantime the storm had stopped and it was still light outside. Aunt Heather is in her element again and babbles like crazy. I stopped listening properly after half an hour. My attention turns to my legs instead. I looked under the dining table and noticed a black dog with hazel eyes. We saw each other for a while. He just looks so cute and I would have kept staring at him if my name hadn't been mentioned several times. I averted my gaze from this sweet creature and saw the amused faces of my family.

I stare wistfully at everyone, waiting for them to break the awkward silence. And my father is the first to interrupt her with a sigh. Followed by my giggling mother and my aunt who smiles suspiciously at me.

"Honey I just asked your parents how many boyfriends you've had and I'm shocked the number isn't in two digits.

You're so pretty and intelligent that guys must be chasing after you like nothing or not "I know your parents are strict, but you're already 19 and you deserve some fun in life.

Be open to new things. But of course take care of yourself.

You're an adult and can decide what is right and wrong so don't worry and enjoy your time at school." Heather said calmly and she looked at me brightly.

I was about to choke on my water because that was just embarrassing.

My father frowns and seems about to freak out. I'd better pull myself together and respond to her statement, since she's already looking at me with wagging eyebrows. All that's missing is that she shows her thumbs up and winks at me..

That would be great!

No it wouldn't be Daisy..

"T-thanks Heather, but I'm not that pretty." I began. "I'm having so much fun without boys...they aren't the most important thing in life anyway..

But I appreciate it Heather, Mom, Dad...thanks for trusting me and supporting me.

I will of course be careful and you don't have to worry about me." I continued.

Everyone just looked at me and nodded and I was glad to have managed to somehow put this conversation aside. I then took another sip of water and noticed something touching my legs again.

My eyes meet the black dog again and I have to smile because he is so cute.

"Kate dear, what's so interesting under the table?" came my mother's voice and she raised her left eyebrow curiously.

"Here is a black dog Mom."

"Oh that must be Bo!" Heather explains cheerfully, "He's a Schipperke. To put it bluntly, he's a little German Shepherd. He's really cute, isn't he?"

I nodded to her in agreement. "Yes he really is."

"Ah sweetheart! It occurs to me that I haven't even been out with him today. Would you like to take him for a walk in the forest? It's still light and the forest is literally around the corner." Heather even pouted. How am I supposed to tell her no.

"Of course I can do it, it's no problem.", I answered her shortly.

My five-year-old daughter was dying in the ICU, her heartbeat replaced by the continuous, electronic scream of a flatline. I gripped her cold hand, my throat sealed shut by a terror so absolute I couldn't even cry out. I dialed my husband Grayson's private number, the one reserved only for me and his assistants. He declined the call instantly. A second later, a text buzzed against my palm: "In a meeting. Do not disturb. Stop calling." Five miles away, Grayson was at a luxury gala, adjusting his silk tie and laughing with Belle Escobar. He told her I was just being "dramatic" and using our daughter's "fever" as an excuse to avoid the event. He had no idea Effie's heart had already stopped. When I finally reached our penthouse, soaked from the rain and carrying Effie's small socks in a plastic bag, Grayson didn't even look at me. He snapped at me for ruining the hardwood floors and asked if I'd left Effie with the nanny just to "feel sorry for myself." Three days later, while I buried our daughter in a small, lonely ceremony, Grayson was at the Hamptons. Belle posted a photo of him golfing with the caption: "A mental health day with the boys." He didn't even attend the funeral, but he returned home demanding I clear out Effie's room to make a study for Belle's son. The injustice burned through me until there was nothing left. I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, desperate to join my daughter. But instead of the darkness, I woke up to blinding lights and the scent of Grayson's expensive cologne. I was standing in a ballroom, wearing a blue silk dress I had already burned. Above me, a banner read: "Happy 5th Birthday Kaiden & Effie." I was back, exactly one year before the tragedy. This time, I wasn't going to be the grieving wife. I was going to be their worst nightmare.

I was the titan of Wall Street until an indictment and an ankle monitor turned my penthouse into a gilded cage. To save face, I was forced into a marriage with Elza, a "mute" girl from the Schmidt family whom I treated as nothing more than a silent piece of furniture while my empire crumbled. The night I was poisoned at a high-society gala, a mysterious server in an oversized uniform saved my life with terrifying, clinical precision. They disappeared into the night, leaving me with a silver cufflink and a burning obsession to find the shadow who held my life in their hands. Back home, I took my frustration out on Elza, telling her she was "exhausting to look at" and "smelled like sickness" after her charity visits. Her own family treated her like a stray dog, trying to humiliate her at the next gala by dressing her in what they claimed was a cheap knockoff while whispering to the press that she was nothing but a high-end escort. "Stay out of my way," I would growl at her, never noticing the steel in her eyes. I sat at my table, watching my rivals' stocks plummet and wondering who "The Zero"—the legendary financial ghost—really was. I never suspected that the woman I ignored was the same one solving the equations that were currently burning Manhattan to the ground. The injustice peaked when Elza stood before the city's elite, not as a victim, but as a queen. She dropped over a hundred million dollars to buy back her family’s legacy, revealing a secret fortune that made my own empire look like pocket change. As I grabbed her wrist and saw the small red mole hidden beneath her watch, the truth hit me like a physical blow. The silent wife I had despised was the savior I had been hunting, and she was finally done playing the victim. "We have a lot to talk about, wife," I whispered, realizing I had been sleeping next to the most dangerous woman in the world.
