REVENGE ON MY BILLIONAIRE EX Chapter 1 Episode 1

"Cheers To A lovely New Year"

The clicking sound of whiskey shot glasses rang in the dimly lit atmosphere, four muscular hands moved the shots each to their lips and downed the hot drinks, then a round of deep merry laughter commenced.

Four young men sat around a table by the corner of a classy night club, ladies in thongs and bras mischievously circled round their table amidst the loud music, eyes flicking sexíly at the men who stared at them with interest.

Well, all the men ogled at the half naked women except one, Harrison Daniels.

"Cheers to a new year man" Jace, one of the men reluctantly moved his eyes from the fat ass lady infront of him towards Harrison and lightly clicked his glass with his.

It was the first of January, the beginning of the year. Just about 02:00 am, very early in the morning, the place was filled with people who stayed up partying all night to see the new year.

Smokes from hookahs and cigarettes blurred the atmosphere, strippers mounted poles professionally at the front stage while haggard looking men with hungry eyes struggled to touch them meanwhile the more responsible men like Harrison and his friends only stared from a distance.

" I'll head home now, first flight to Paris tomorrow" one of the men stood up and bade goodbye.

"Yeah, me too... First flight to South Africa. It's the beginning of the year and business is already calling. Alright... See ya"

The two found their way out, leaving the other two as their table became quiet once again.

"Cheers man" Harrison took a sip from his drink before returning the glass to the table, his face held no hint of happiness, just cold distant eyes with cheeks that have been starved of smiling.

While both men sat in silence, a lady walked down to Jace and started touching him, rubbing his head and chest seductively. Jace seemed to be enjoying what the lady was doing, his hand moved up and grabbed the lady's ass.

Harrison only stared with a disgusted look. Ignoring them, he took a sip from his Martel.

Once the lady was gone, Jace gave a long stare at Harrison, thinking how on earth a man could harden himself towards women.

And not just that, for such a long time. The issue of Tricia, his ex happened a long time ago, over six to seven months now and Harrison was still not going to move on?

"You know... It's a new year" Jace spoke up.

"So?" Harrison's voice was dry and held no emotions.

"So cheer up, you gotta let go of the past, let go of last year "

" yesterday... "Harrison sounded sarcastic.

" Come on Harry, cool off! and move on"

" I am cool" Harrison took his glass and sipped his wine, his jaws clenched as he carefully placed the glass on the table.

" You are not cool Harry, just take a look at you..."

" I guess I'm hot then" Harry fished out his phone and started operating it. Not even the lightest smile stained his lips meanwhile Jace chuckled at his little joke.

" What ever man, you need to get a life, and forget about Tricia" Jace emptied his wine.

The mention of Tricia brought an irritated expression to Harry's face.

"She's in the past, she's in last year, you cannot punish yourself because of some undeserving bitch, get a smile back on your face and get another girl!"

Jace stood up, extending his arm as both shook hands before Jace departed.

"I don't need another one" Harry spoke in a low stern voice.

He emptied his wine, picked up his car keys and the expensive bottle of wine before exiting the club, thankfully he did not drink too much to get drunk.

Harrison's previous relationship did not really go as he wanted. Tricia had successfully gotten Harry wrapped around her fingers, he was insanely in love with her to the extent of doing absolutely anything for her.

Harrison thought he had seen his soul mate, being with her made him see no reason to look at other girls because she was enough.

Was it pretty face?, She was so pretty. Boobs and ass?...Check!

Whenever he was around her, he would feel like time had stopped, he always had a bright uncontrollable smile on his face, it was obvious that he really loved her.

Harry visited Tricia unannounced one fateful Saturday. The memories were still fresh in his mind, like it just happened yesterday.

Upon entering into her apartment, Harrison's eyes saw his own woman bent over and screwed mercilessly from behind just in the living room.

He felt so devastated, disregarded, played, disrespected, in general, he felt like a foolish idiot.

That whole experience was able to completely wipe out happiness and smiles from his life.

Driving through the night, his eyes stared straight ahead of him as he moved slowly. It was a new year, he looked around and saw people rejoicing and displaying all sorts of fireworks and fire crackers.

Couples standing together with hands connected, smiling into each other's eyes.

Some held tightly unto their partners, eating up each other's lips shamelessly by the road side. Harrison moved his eyes off the displays and stepped harder on the accelerator not wanting to see any more of it.

He saw the looks on those men's faces and he recognized the looks because he once used to have same look when he was with Tricia. If only he could warn those innocent men before they ended up like him.

Women were not to be trusted, they were cunning and heartless humans who only want your money.

Harrison got home that morning and went straight to bed.

••.

Tricia sat opposite her date for the night with distant eyes, swirling her champagne flute in her hand while the date of a guy kept talking on and on, not caring if she listened to him or not.

Both sat at a secluded area in a five star restaurant where they earlier booked for the night.

Tricia was not really listening to the man at all, she was rather uninterested in him as she would rather have Harrison her ex in front of her because he was better than all other guys she had been with.

He was wealthier than them but unfortunately she couldn't have him anymore, he broke up with her and that was about six to seven months ago.

But why did he even break up? Because she cheated?, People cheat, so what?

He had no right to dump her. Anger seethed through her veins. Not only did he dump her, he humiliated her in front of the general public, she wanted to get back at him and she would make sure she did so.

She already had everything planned out, all she needed now was a little minion, a pawn who would play the game.

Tricia suddenly stood up, causing the man to stop speaking in surprise.

"Are you leaving?" He asked with a confused expression.

Tricia kept her glass on the table, the sound echoing in the atmosphere.

"Happy new year, Mr colour"

"Um... It's Grey" he corrected but it seemed she did not care.

" I do not care what colour you are, bye!"

she brushed passed him and cat walked out of the restaurant. Mr Grey only stared back at her retreating figure for a while before returning his gaze to his front.

Tricia was a pretty lady but her character was 'Zero', no wonder she was dumped. He shook his head in disapproval as he emptied his glass before leaving.

In a small apartment, there lived a family of four. A middle aged couple with their two daughters, Liliana the first child, twenty two years old and a bit naive, Emma the last child, twelve years old.

The four of them gathered in the small living area as they celebrated the new year together. Beautiful smiles plastered on their faces as they celebrated with a little feast.

Time went by and it was almost dawn, Liliana took her little sister inside so that she could sleep. Her eyes were already heavy though.

"Alright Emma, let's go in" Holding her hand, she led her into their small room and helped her into the bed.

"Go to bed now... You need to rest" she placed a loving peck on her cheeks before tucking her in, she too prepared to go to bed too as she had a big day ahead but a sudden ring from her phone caught her attention.

She stared at her phone with curiosity, what could it be?

Stretching her hand, she quickly picked it up from the small dressing table and scrolled to check, having hope within her that it was her little salary that had hit her account as the month of December had ended.

Unfortunately it was not her salary alert but something different and heartbreaking. It was a break up text from her boyfriend.

Well, the message did not really get to her because she had always had it in mind that he did not love her.

It was a new year, people were letting go of the past and obviously she was his past that he was letting go of.

There was no need to reply the text, she mindlessly tossed the phone on the table and lay beside her sister. Her initial plan was to go to bed and await the new dawn, forgetting all her past.

And also letting go of her boyfriend that was now her ex, he did not matter to her, or so she thought as she now found her self feeling sad.

So, he really broke up with her?, On a new year dawn? How heartless of him to do so. Though she had it in mind that he did not really love her but it still hurt.

She found herself sobbing into her pillow, many thoughts running through her mind. Her head was slowly trying to process a reason why her boyfriend left her.

What really happened though?, What did she do?, Where did she go wrong?, He said he loved her... And she too loved him so what then happened?

...

Just like a flick of a light switch, the morning came.

Liliana slowly opened her eyes as they adjusted to the light coming in from the window.

A short yawn ripped out of her mouth as she stretched, realizing that she actually cried herself to sleep last night.

Laying for a while, she had a mental rundown of the activities that happened yesterday, from the morning to the night, her eyes hurting a little, probably because of crying.

So she actually cried?, She released a mocking scoff obviously mocking herself for crying over an undeserving bastard.

Casting a glance at her sister who was still sleeping, she dragged her feet towards the bathroom, undressed and got under the shower.

As the water fell on her head and rushed down her body, it felt as though all her burdens were being washed away too.

Coming out from the shower, she had a lighter spirit. Liliana got dressed, all ready to leave for work with a cheerful heart, after all, it was a new year.

There was no use crying and sulking over some one who clearly felt nothing towards her. Grabbing her bag, she headed downstairs.

"Honey?... You are ready to leave? "

"Yes, bye mom!"

She dashed put because she was running late already, she wanted to start the new year with a clean sheet so she had to be early.

Getting to the classy restaurant where she worked as a waitress, things did not go quite smoothly as she envisaged.

She was choked with so much work as it was the beginning of the year and so many people came in to have either breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Her manager too did not help the matter as she (manager) kept yelling and scolding her for one thing or the other. Liliana was fed up but she was only an employee, there was nothing she could do.

Just to obey and say "yes ma'am" to every order given to her.

As if all that was not enough, just when she was about to head home after work, feeling very tired and worn out, a mean looking lady called her to a corner and said to her-

"I have a deal for you"

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."
