EXCERPT "Just leave me alone Arya!!!" Ethan pinned me to the wall and came so close to me to my face. "I'm never going to leave you...Because you are MY ONLY ADDICTION..." I whispered before I leaned in and gave him a punishing desperate kiss. His mouth was hot and needy against mine... SYNOPSIS The best love is when you fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time. Arya is a fair skinned lady who was deeply in love with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend made her feel that he really loved her and then just left like nothing happened. He had her at a point where she would have left the entire world behind for him. Ethan Alexander Marcias was an eligible bachelor to the world who had everything he wished for but only he knew the longing, sadness and pain in his heart. He was homesick for a place where his heart is full, body loved and soul understood... What happens when two broken hearts meet at their lowest point???
(Ethan's POV)
Sadness drained through me as I drove through the Marcias gate, any other son would have been happy to be home but this one here isn't... My name hasn't left people's tongues since I scored that bicycle kick goal... They were proud of me...
I'd made my country and team proud but when it comes to Jordan Marcias, being a footballer was the worst decision I ever made, he'd never stop taunting me about it.. I'm sure when he dies, he will still turn in his grave in rage...
If he only understood that football is my only addiction...
"Hey Sir, you're here.." The guard asked the moment I got out of the car.
"Is mom in?" I asked
"No sir" he replied
I threw him the car key and head towards the mansion. I don't know if Grandma will love my little surprise. it was her birthday and I wouldn't miss it for anything.
I was supposed to arrive from Brazil tomorrow but here I am.
"GG!" I called out when I got into the mansion.
GG is nickname we do call our grandma.
"Ethan?" Troy (my cousin) was surprised to see me.
"Ethan, what are you doing here? You were supposed to arrive tomorrow" He retorted, hugging me
"Where's GG?" I pulled away and began walking towards the living room.
"GG!" I called again
"Looking for me?" I heard a familiar voice behind me and a smile appeared on my face. I turned around and ran to her.
"Happy birthday GG!" I hugged her tightly like my life depended on it.
"I hope you haven't cut the cake without me?" I asked as I disengaged from the hug.
"How would I do that?" She cupped my face
"How is the most beautiful granny in the whole world?" I teased and she smiled.
"I am fine and you, dear? Are you okay?? Why did you come today, are you sick? Troy, why didn't pick your brother from the airport? Look how exhausted he is..." She ranted and I chuckled then I placed my hand on her shoulders
"GG I'm okay, I just wanted to surprise you; I wouldn't miss my Jewel's birthday for anything. Where's the cake?" I asked as I looked around.
"Brother, l have bad news; GG won't celebrate her birthday without the drama queen" Troy said and my eyes widened in surprise.
"What? Mia is coming back? Why?" I stuttered
"That was exactly Troy's reaction too" I heard a feminine voice and I turned around. Aunt Ariana who just walked in with a wide smile plastered in her face.
"And here comes my queen" I snuggled her in a tight hug.
"Hope you didn't miss me much baby?" I winked and she laughed
"Of course I did Prince charming, this guy here is just too boring" she pouted, referring to Troy.
"Oh really now, Mom??" He feign being hurt
"Not to worry sweetie, your prince is here to save the day" I joked making others break into an uncontrollably laughter
"You're never serious, congrats on your win bro, I've never been tensed like I was during the game; I thought the game would end in 0-0" Troy punched my shoulder playfully.
"It'd have been a shame to go all the way to Brazil and come back home with a zero score, but how can that happen with Ethan Marcias around?" Aunt Anna boasted
"Of course, my Ethan is the best footballer in the whole world, he always makes me proud" GG praised me.
"I wish you saw your mother, she was screaming excitedly when she watched you play" GG shook her head smiling.
My mother has always been my greatest support and that gives me strength.
"I'm her son after all" I replied proudly
"State the obvious, where is our gifts?" GG frowned.
"They're in the car, Kelly will get them but nobody should touch the pink shopping bags, only Ciara Marcias should" I warned
I've always knew you love your mother more than me but because you did an amazing job in Brazil so I'll forgive you" GG beamed
And just before I could shower her with sweet words, I heard that familiar voice that had always made my heart sink
"The prodigal son is back!"
