What happens when Emma discovers that her best friends/crushes dominants. pushes them to accept her as a submissive? Will she be able to be with them in the way she desires in the end, or will this merely complicate matters further?

Chapter 1 After the breakup

Four months have gone by since the breakup.

At first, I thought I had nothing left to live for. I thought I was cursed.

My parents didn't love me enough to turn their lives around for me and the two people I loved the most in this world, who promised to always be there for me, left me.

But with the help of Jada and Linda, I saw I had a lot to live for.

1 being them and 2 being the little creature inside me or creatures. I don't know the gender of the baby. When I have my appointments, I ask the nurses not to disclose the gender. It's something I wanted to do with them.

All I've ever wanted was a family, the family I never had, and I was so close to having that.

I'm currently back at the house they bought for my 18th birthday. Staying at their home had too many memories of us.

My biggest challenges are finding a job and learning to function without a dom. I was a submissive for so long it became a part of me.

After taking one last look in the mirror, I convinced myself to get going. I've a job interview today.

This will be my 5th interview in two days. Being pregnant in this part of the city isn't easy. No one wants to hire you.

With only 30 minutes left for my interview.

I grabbed my handbag off the couch and left the house.

I've seen on a job seeking website that our local library was hiring workers so I applied and they called me in for an interview.

Getting a taxi, I told the driver my location, and he took me there just in time.

Dressed professionally, was a tall blond lady. "Excuse, are you Emma Lynn?"

"Yes, I'm Emma Lynn" I answered her question

"Right this way, "

She says and I follow her.

We came upon a wooden door, and she told me good luck before leaving.

"Come in," a stern voice says and I open the door, stepping through.

Facing me was a middle-aged man, dressed in all black, sipping his coffee.

"Emma Lynn" I stretched out a hand for him and he took it.

"George Steves"

"Please, take a seat," he says once he lets go of my hands and I sit down on the burgundy chair.

Mr Steves opens up a folder scrolling through it. No doubt going through the information I gave him.

"May I have a look at your resume!" I nod, take it out of my bag, then hand it to him. After reading it, he sighs.

And my heart drops knowing what would come next.

"based on your resume, you aren't up to the company's standards. I sincerely apologize"

Not again!

I thanked him and turned to leave when he stopped me. My eyes lit up. Perhaps he realized he made a mistake.

"Miss Lynn, what if I told you there was another way you could get this job? "

He licks his lips, eying me up and down. How disgusting and unprofessional.

I stormed out of his office and out of the Building tears threatening to leave my eyes the things I have to endure.

A taxi stopped at my feet, and I got in telling, him my location. A message popped up on my phone and I saw it was Jada, so I dialed her.

"How did it go? "

her voice comes through the phone

"I didn't get it,"

"You'll get it next time, em," she tries to cheer me up.

"Jada, I'm so tired of trying"

"You can't give up. I'll call my brother. He knows a few people here "

"Thanks Jay"

"I love you, girl, and remember to take it easy. You're pregnant "

She scolds me.

"Love you too and I'll try."

I blow her a kiss through the phone.

We hung up, and I looked up to see the driver staring at me in the mirror.

I glared at him. He should be driving, not meddling in my business.

When I got home, I threw my bag down and sat myself on my bed.

"Well, little one," I said, rubbing my tummy.

"I didn't get a job, but we'll see how tomorrow goes. "

I giggled when he moved. I can't wait to see what he or she looks like.

I hope they look like me, though. The last thing I want is a reminder of the boys.

I was busy sitting on my bed feeling sorry for myself when I heard my doorbell. Weird, I rarely get visitors. Grabbing my baseball bat, I head for the door.

"Who is it?" I asked

"me" the unknown person responder

"Me who? "

"The Taxi driver," the person responded and Instantly I knew who it was.

I held my bat as I opened the door, wanting to be careful. I'm a pregnant woman living all alone.

He chuckles before holding his hands up. "I bought take outs "

I raise an eyebrow at him, "may I come in ?"

When I don't reply, he says he needs to talk and means no harm.

"we sit out here"

We took our seat, and he hands me the food he bought

"Thanks, so what do you wanna talk about? "

"I'd like to start by saying I'm Mike "

"I'm Emma," I tell the short chubby brown haired man before me.

"Nice, so I just, uh, been noting you lately. You seem to be going through something "

I nod. Great, even a complete stranger can see that.

"wanna "

"No" I cut him off. I didn't wanna be rude, but this is not something I wanna talk about. He's been nothing but nice to me. I really appreciate him making sure I enter my apartment before he drives away.

He nods, getting up. "well I live right down the street if you ever wanna talk about"

" Wait," I stopped him before he could leave.

"Maybe I do wanna talk about it"

His face lights up and he seems genuinely happy to help me with whatever issues I have had. Only those can't be fixed. I pat the spot beside me and he sits back down.

"So "

I tell him everything but not going too deep into anything.

His facial features changed from being happy, too excited, too sad, too angry, too happy again, to disappointment, to angry again throughout the story. I've seen nothing like it. It was funny, actually.

Mike's naturally funny. He made the whole situation feel a lot better. He even made me get fired, and hurt less.

I was getting sleepy, so I wrapped things up. We exchanged numbers, and he said he'd stop by tomorrow.

He waited for me to be inside before he left. I climbed into bed and before I went to sleep. I stripped out of my clothes and went to shower.

Nicole had entered marriage with Walter, a man who never returned her feelings, bound to him through an arrangement made by their families rather than by choice. Even so, she had held onto the quiet belief that time might soften his heart and that one day he would learn to love her. However, that day never came. Instead, he treated her with constant contempt, tearing her down with cruel words and dismissing her as fat and manipulative whenever it suited him. After two years of a cold and distant marriage, Walter demanded a divorce, delivering his decision in the most degrading manner he could manage. Stripped of her dignity and exhausted by the humiliation, Nicole agreed to her friend Brenda's plan to make him see what he had lost. The idea was simple but daring. She would use another man to prove that the woman Walter had mocked and insulted could still be desired by someone else. All they had to do was hire a gigolo. Patrick had endured one romantic disappointment after another. Every woman he had been involved with had been drawn not to him, but to his wealth. As one of the heirs to a powerful and influential family, he had long accepted that this pattern was almost unavoidable. What Patrick wanted was far more difficult to find. He longed to fall in love with a woman who cared for him as a person, not for the name he carried or the fortune attached to it. One night, while he was at a bar, an attractive stranger approached him. Because of his appearance and composed demeanor, she mistook him for a gigolo. She made an unconventional proposal, one that immediately caught his interest and proved impossible for him to refuse.

I was four months pregnant, weighing over two hundred pounds, and my heart was failing from experimental treatments forced on me as a child. My doctor looked at me with clinical detachment and told me I was in a death sentence: if I kept the baby, I would die, and if I tried to remove it, I would die. Desperate for a lifeline, I called my father, Francis Acosta, to tell him I was sick and pregnant. I expected a father's love, but all I got was a cold, sharp blade of a voice. "Then do it quietly," he said. "Don't embarrass Candi. Her debutante ball is coming up." He didn't just reject me; he erased me. My trust fund was frozen, and I was told I was no longer an Acosta. My fiancé, Auston, had already discarded me, calling me a "bloated whale" while he looked for a thinner, wealthier replacement. I left New York on a Greyhound bus, weeping into a bag of chips, a broken woman the world considered a mistake. I couldn't understand how my own father could tell me to die "quietly" just to save face for a party. I didn't know why I had been a lab rat for my family’s pharmaceutical ambitions, or how they could sleep at night while I was left to rot in the gray drizzle of the city. Five years later, the doors of JFK International Airport slid open. I stepped onto the marble floor in red-soled stilettos, my body lean, lethal, and carved from years of blood and sweat. I wasn't the "whale" anymore; I was a ghost coming back to haunt them. With my daughter by my side and a medical reputation that terrified the global elite, I was ready to dismantle the Acosta empire piece by piece. "Tell Francis to wash his neck," I whispered to the skyline. "I'm home."
