What will happen between the doctor and the writer then?

Chapter 1 1

Emily entered Green Bells Hospital, it was easy for her to find Damian's office. She opened the door with ease and let her eyes fall on the young, dashing doctor. She'd been told Damian was one of the best plastic surgeons in Los Angeles, but his physical appearance was left out.

"Doctor Damian, it's a pleasure to meet you," Emily said, extending her hand for a handshake.

He shook her hand with a welcoming smile. "The pleasure is all mine. Please take a seat. Tell me your name."

"My name is Emily."

"Great, so let's talk about why you're here."

Damian was just too perfect, above average height and good looks, Emily thought to herself. He'd chosen the wrong profession, he'd've been a model, because no other job would have suited his handsome physique, and his face would make a passerby look back twice.

Damian stopped talking when he saw that Emily was lost in her own world.

In all the years he'd been a doctor, this happened all the time, and usually they just said the same words, "Are you free for coffee tomorrow night?"

Damian wanted to, declined because he's in high demand so he's almost always working, but he said, "You're invited? I guess ten o'clock sharp."

Emily nodded.

It was hard to make time for her because he'd a busy schedule. However, he couldn't remember the last time he was in a relationship. His work takes up all his time and he rarely spends time with anyone but himself, but this time he decides to make an exception.

Damian's previous relationships have never lasted more than three months, sometimes only a week or a week. He's looking for the one that will knock my socks off.

Emily chortled. "What exactly are you looking for in a woman?"

"I can't say. I'll know the right woman when I see one."

"Okay..." replied Emily, biting her lips seductively. "Don't you need a woman who can satisfy you in bed?"

"Yes, I do, but -"

Before he could finish speaking, she got up from her table, walked up to him and pressed a kiss to his lips.

Damian, being resistant, said, "We should take it one step at a time."

"How about dinner at my place after work, then we can get to know each other better," Emily said.

"That will be a good idea." Damian nodded.

When she saw him, she'd to smile, because she'd a little doubt that he wouldn't be able to make it because of his busy schedule at work.

She walked up to him, pressed a kiss on his cheek and greeted him. They exchanged pleasantries and headed out to dinner.

The evening was inviting, full of life, with the light of the moon complementing the night as they sat outside staring at the stars after dinner.

"They're beautiful, aren't they?" asked Damian.

"Yes, they're."

After long hours of discussion and laughter, the night was over.

After their romantic time the night before, they'd both started their relationship with a series of text messages and phone calls, and the love he showed her was extraordinary.

But Emily was confused, wondering if she wasn't good enough to give in to her sexual desire. Two weeks have now passed, but no physical intimacy has taken place.

"I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you that I'll be home very late. That's why I got this on the way back." said Damian.

"How nice of you." She said coldly.

"Don't you like it?"

"I do, but when are we going to have sex?"

With this question, without appreciating the gifts, he was sure that she wasn't the one, although he'd felt it all along.

"All the time I spent with you I wanted to feel something, I wanted to feel a spark, but I felt nothing, no connection, I -"

"You know what, you watch too many romance movies, I'm out of here." She walked out of his bedroom, carrying the bags she'd brought and his gifts, and left his house.

After a busy day, Damian had gotten a ticket to the Lovers' Day, where poets recited their poetry, but one particular girl caught his attention. He gave her his full attention because of her beauty. When she recited her poem, he stood motionless and let the poetry fill his soul.

She finished the poem by saying, "Love is madness for someone, a state of sleeplessness and distraction. Love is tender, fleeting and above all spontaneous. Love thrives on honesty, sincerity, coupled with mutual responsibility and concern. It usually comes at first sight, but for it to grow, you've to make it blossom by putting your open heart and soul into it."

Their relationship lasted longer than the usual three months. He took her out to a prom party. She wore a white dress of gauzy fabric that sat high on her neck. She rounded her waist with a black ribbon and also wore a beautiful necklace that glittered on her neck. She felt like Cinderella, as everyone was overwhelmed by her magnificence and admired her.
