"I don't do business with monsters!" Mino sarcastically exclaimed, glaring fiercely at the lady with a thin cloth covering her face. "So was I with a pathetic human," Vreihya grumbled angrily. They both despised one other's kind because, in their own views, they were both monsters. Vreihya is the strongest vampire, fated by prophecy to bear a child who will substitute the Goddess of the Moon, yet she cannot live freely without the human who is her only remedy for her illness, and when the human perish, she dies. Their foes will object to having a half-human blooded vampire as their new Goddess, thus they will go to any length to slay the mortal and dominate the most powerful vampire in the vampire world.

Chapter 1 MONSTER

"I don't get all of this, Mom! Dad!" he exclaimed quickly, turning to face his parents and trying to hold back a much stronger emotion.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Humans! They never changed! They are constantly overreacting as if the world's bad luck had collapsed on their backs.

"Last time I checked, you wanted me to dump my girlfriend because you don't want me to marry, and now you're telling me this!" I felt the intensity of every word that came out of his mouth. I remained calm and standing while he was acting as if no one could hear his outburst.

And again, typical human, they didn't care for others because they only want to release their intense rage without thinking. They are self-centered as usual. It is not that surprising to know after all.

"Will you quit it? You whine like a pregnant woman!" I coldly stated but he threw a sharp glare at me but I remained calm and compose. That glare will not make him go anywhere.

"Shut it lady! You're just a woman hiding behind that dark red cloak!" he said replicating my coldness and he skimmed my cloak that is covering my whole body. I am indeed wearing a red dark cloak with a hood and a piece of cloth hiding most of my face.

"Don't you dare talk back human, no one has ever given me orders!" I exclaimed as I lost my temper. He is making my blood boil as intense as it can be.

But I wanted to admire his sturdiness because he didn't budge despite my deadly glare. Nice! A tough one indeed! I want to calm myself but I felt my anger wanting to escape beyond my control. I really hate it here!

The heavy glare between us continued. But after a second a nervous heart beat started to escape from his chest. His glare were transformed into an intense fear and nervousness. I sensed how quickly his body became stiff and cold.

I felt his strong urge to run away from us because of how frighten he is right now. I flashed a bitter smile under the piece of cloth. How ironic! Humans are afraid of monsters like me but they are not aware about the fact that they are the most destructive kind of monster.

He is the one who looked away as I turned back the normal color of my eyes after it turned into a flaming red that caused the fear that he is feeling right now throughout his whole body.

"You want me to marry a freaking monster?" he exclaimed and faced his parents again that are not capable of doing anything.

"Do you want me to die? Mom? Dad?" he stated with such irritation that his body became too stiff while his parents are trembling with fear and nervousness.

"They won't hurt you Mino," his father said in attempt to calm him down.

"Son please! Just hear us out!" his mother pleaded as she finally had the courage to speak up.

"Stop calling me your son because the moment that you give me to this monsters you must forget that you have a son!" he exclaimed with such intense that showcased how deep his anger is towards his parents.

His dad quickly supported his wife as she almost lost her balance due to the harsh words their only child had stated.

"Is this the way you show your gratitude to them?" I said plainly as I felt my mother's right hand being laid on top of my hand that is resting on the table. She tried to tell me to stop arguing with the mortal.

"I thought that your son is aware about this Rosanna but he looks so surprised," my uncle stated that remained calm and compose while he is standing besides me. The way he talked gave away the fact that he has authority and a royalty.

"We plan to tell it to him but you arrived to quickly," her mother answered while shuttering and lowering her head to avoid my uncle's gaze.

"So you're blaming us now? We had given you years to prepare him for this and this is what we get? You are not obeying the scripture!" my mother stated intensely while she is standing straightly and her hands were clasp together on her front. The fact that she is a queen is obvious by her own posture.

"When did humans took their words seriously?" I sarcastically said that caused their trembling to intensify. I smirked. They will not be this afraid if they really plan to obey the agreement.

"You don't know how to obey and you will lose him earlier than expected," uncle stated making each word as heavy as he can. I felt how my mortal mate made himself alert and ready for a fight. I can't stop myself from smirking bitterly. This reality is really hard for me to accept.

It is a really hard pill to swallow. I feel belittled and ashamed!

"Have mercy! We can't afford loosing our son!" his father quickly shouted and pulled his son behind his back to hide him from us.

"Get your hands off me! You monster!" the mortal tried to resist as my uncle swiftly went on his father's back and grabbed our target's shoulder.

"It has been said and done!" my uncle coldly stated and I instantly felt how the temperature dropped while my uncle is controlling the air as his eyes begun to change in color. The mortals tried to fight the urge to close their eyes but my uncle's power is way stronger than their might.

After a second, my arms were occupied by the mortal's body that can't do anything but to have his fit of rage. I caught him after he lost his consciousness while uncle had his parents on both of his arms.

"I look like a pathetic woman that will die if I can't have a man in my life!" I hissed towards my uncle because of how my image is being pictured with this unfortunate need.

"Vreihya! Let's just talk when we are back to the palace," my mother stated while my uncle is carrying the mortals on his opposite shoulders like a sack of rice.

"Good idea mother, this human world is indeed sickening," I stated without emotions. For the many instance that I traveled back and forth to this world for a long time, I saw how people tried to kill, fool and tricked each other. How many wars, famine, cruelty and poverty had filled my eyes? This is a chaotic world if you ask me.

Our world isn't perfect but we know how to obey the law that our Goddess has set upon us. Our world is far from the mortal world that seems to be lawless or doesn't care at all about the presence of it.

I am a royalty and it is true that I had a thirst for blood. I am a frightening creature that no one will ever wish to encounter. I am indeed a monster for small minded human. I am one of those who glow when the light of the moon embrace our pale skin. I have fangs, sharp nails and flaming red eyes but is it an acceptable basis to label us as monsters?

But on my world we are the most powerful, the most respected, the most beautiful species to ever rule them. We are not like the way how people had pictured us. Books and legends were written to make us look like a cursed creature, they make us look like we are from the dark side. But in reality we are more special and more precious than mortals.

I can't still fully comprehend this nonsense! I am adored by a bunch of vampire that they almost down on their knees just to lay a touch and make me their possession yet this silly mortal refused me that easily? He is really getting into my nerves!

I sat on the cold floor of the palace while the mortal is hanging upside down. My chin is on tap of my palm while my elbow rested on top of my left knee as my legs were crisscrossed. He is sleeping peacefully while I am here still processing the idea that I need to marry him.

He is just a human and there is nothing special about it. Are they belittling me? I am a royal vampire but a low kind race is fated to be tied with me. This is pure madness and disrespect! This is such a shame!

This is bullshit!

A couple of minutes had passed and I witnessed how he slowly opened his eyes. A shocked expression quickly registered on his face upon seeing me in front of him from a distant. He tried to move and free himself from the rope that is wrap around his feet.

This caused the rope to turn together with his body into a 360 degrees circle. "Quit moving human! You're making your situation worst!" I stated coldly to make him aware about my presence. But he acted like a deft person. He didn't said anything back or even look at me. He continued to move aggressively in attempt to free himself.

My blood immediately boiled because of his rudeness. I quickly straighten my back and raised my hand. I made a thin blade with the air to cut the rope and he started to scream when his about to fall head first on the cold floor.

I gestured again to stop his body from falling and turned his body in the right way but his feet are still not touching the floor. I controlled his body to face me. And then I saw his wholeness again and I admit that I found him very attractive due to that physic and handsome facial features of him.

I will admit that I can't stop myself to stare the moment I saw him. But now, he is still stiff while floating in the mid air with my power.

"I don't do business with a monster!" he stated intensely despite knowing my kind and my capability to snap his neck in a matter of seconds. He didn't plan to filter or choose his words carefully when talking back at me. That's intriguing!

"So do I with a pathetic human," I replied with irritation and bitterness. I will not let you step on me because who do you think you are? I need something from you that's why I still have the guts to stand here and look at you or to deal with any of this.

"Woah! Look at you! You're the one who approached me to marry you. I will not let that happen so dream on!" he said sarcastically and then I snapped.

I stood up quickly and closed my fist that caused him to be pulled into my direction. His eyes widened while staring at me because of our small distance. I felt the heat on my eyes as it changes its color into a scarlet red.

"Lend me your ears mortal! No one dared to refuse me! I can get all the men I want as many as I please but I am here stuck with a weak creature!" I hissed at him. He will pay for this kind of mockery! I am Vreihya Amely Zecillion and I will never let a foul mouthed human to belittle me!

"How can a man plead for a woman hiding herself behind that thick cloak? Do you have a nasty disease? Or maybe your just freaking ugly!" he replied sarcastically at me. You are really something! You don't have any fear in your body or for your self! You're too confident for a human!

"Damn! Don't use your human language of mockery against me!" I said angrily. Yes! My patience is nowhere to be found right now. I am on the end of the thread! My patience is as short as my pinky! I am a royalty and everyone should respect me!

"I don't take orders from monsters!" he coolly stated as if my anger is nothing for him. Am I a joke for him? I had enough! I threw off my hand that caused him to flew away and slumped his back on the bricked wall. He immediately shouted due to intense pain.

I tried hard to calm myself because I don't want to end up killing him. There are other important things to do than to end his existence. Uncle also reminded me to not inflict any harm on him as he try to find out why this human is the only cure for my sickness and why the hell I need to marry him.

Uncle will never know that I lost my temper that caused the human to be slumped on the wall. The moment he landed on the cold floor I turned my back away from him. But I stopped the moment I heard his slow heavy breathing.

"What is it that you want from me? I don't understand a single thing!" he said while he is trying really hard to catch his breath. I also breathed heavily to utter the words that even me is having a hard time to believe. It is something that I genuinely refuse and wanted to escape.

"You are going to be the father of my child!" I replied coldly because of how hard for me to accept and live with it. Those are the last words that I uttered before I snapped my fingers an he lost his consciousness.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.
