Chapter 1 Pack House

"Hey princess we are home finally. Wake up and look who is waiting to see you."

Rebekka looks out the window and smiles really big and pushes her way over Evander and up to Dee and gives her a big hug and they both start crying. Conall just rolls his eyes and hugs his brother and Sam.

"So glad you could come and join our pack Sam. I see you have training with Gene?"

"Yeah, Uncle Gene is great, so if he has a pack then why is he living in the city?"

"To keep his pack members in order and our secret just that a secret."

"OHHHHH."

"This is Lachlan and Beth, Mathe and Cassie, and Dahman. Guys this here are Dees cousins Rebekka and her son Sam, in case you haven't met them yet. Sam tomorrow we will show you where you will be going to school at and introduce you to some of the other kids your age. Also, since you have been training I expect you to continue that everyday from here on out ok?"

"Yes, sir I would like that as well as mom, she is awesome at fighting."

They walk inside and Evander takes them to their wing in the castle. Sam is shown his room and could not believe his eyes as it had changed since the last time he was here. It was done in his favorite colors and more grown up than a teenagers room which was perfect for him.

He settles in and unpacks his things takes a shower to get rid of all the crap left on him from the last couple days. Rebekka is now sharing a room with Evander but only said yes after he asked her what she preferred. They shower and change and go down for dinner that Dee and some other members were cooking.

Dahman walks in looking at Dee but turns around and walks out to the back door passing Conall. He runs to the woods turns into his Lycan and ripping off his clothes in mid air. Sam watches him and is at awe when he sees him do this and has an itch to want to do this too.

"Sam what are you doing sitting out here? Dinner is about ready come have a seat."

"I just saw Dahman turn into his Lycan and damn he's gorgeous."

"Umm..what are you having thoughts about Dahman?"

"No, oh god no, mom really?"

"Hey I am not judging but just by the way you're at aww seeing him change is why I asked."

"Did you see Dahman come out this way?"

"Changed as he hit the woods, why what's wrong?"

"Not sure but Dee is serving dinner guys, come on."

They walk in and sit down and started eating and Rebekka new that this was her Aunt's famous lasagna and salad once again. Dee just looked at her and nodded letting her know it was made just for them to welcome them home.

Nobody missed a beat talking and getting to know the two new members in the pack. Rebekka learned that there are bears, lions, tigers, and such as shifters in their pack as they do not hold to just one grouping and that is all. They are all protected and safe from everyone and everything.

Dahman is out running through the woods, skipping over ruts, wholes, roots, and the like until he comes to a pond with a waterfall. They all come here at times to swim when they don't feel like going to the beach, families with small kids come here since it isn't as scary as the ocean is and it lets the kids run free in their animal forms. He changes back and dives in the pond swimming in the cold water.

He sits on a rock under the falls letting the water hit him he had to think, he knew who his mate was but could not confront her. He needed to talk to his brother about it but did not know how to approach him about it. They all knew growing up that one of them would possibly share a woman but prayed that they did not have to.

He also had to talk to his mate but did not know how to approach her. But that would have to wait till later. His Lycan was whimpering because they were not close to her and he needed her. They were always close to her they loved how she smelled, cooked, took care of the pack. But he could not help that something big was going to happen and that is why his Lycan was pushing Dahman to be near her more than ever before.

She was going to need him now but more later to lean on them both. He does not even know where he would mark her because she is marked already by her mate. Goddess he is so confused and needed to talk to somebody soon before he went insane.

"Dahman we are getting ready to eat where are you?"

"On my way back, sorry just needed to get away from everything for a bit."

"I will tell Dee then that you are on your way. We need to talk after dinner, ok?"

Dahman did not respond back but changed back to his Lycan-Gaylord. Gaylord pushed him to run faster than before letting the wind rush through his fur and rustling the leaves under his ginormous paws. As they approached the house Dahman came back front and put on some basket ball shorts and a shirt walking into the house.

He washed up and sat down with the rest of the members but Alf told him to sit next to his mate. Dahman was reluctant but went ahead and did so to appease Gaylord.

"So happy to sit next to her, I want to touch her."

"No, Gaylord, not right now...calm your horny self down boy."

"What? Me? Horny that is really funny, I mean common man you have to take care of yourself every night after leaving her."

"Shut up...."

Dahman just rolled his eyes and continued eating hoping that nobody saw him do that.

"Sam, I am sorry you saw me change like that I hope we didn't scare you or make you want to return home."

"Heck no man that was cool, Evander will mom and I be able to do that?"

Evander coughs on his food and Dahman laughs at Sams question but is glad he is curious and wants to change.

"Umm...well Sam that really all depends on your mom and what she wants to do, we have to talk in depth more about it. Dee had to be turned because it was life or death, like Cassie and Bethany."

"What happened Dee?"

"A creeper sliced through me and I lost a lot blood and passed out."

"Oh, wow glad they all saved you but I want to see what you change into."

"How about tomorrow since you all just got here and need to rest up ok?"

"Sweet, I'll help with the dishes."

"Thanks Sam, that's kind of you."

Conversations kept going through dinner nothing particular was said about schooling or anything else. It was just nice for Rebekka and Sam to be there were they were wanted and loved.

"Dahman, when you're done come to the office."

"On my way Con, what do you want to talk about?"

My world revolved around Jax Harding, my older brother's captivating rockstar friend. From sixteen, I adored him; at eighteen, I clung to his casual promise: "When you're 22, maybe I'll settle down." That offhand comment became my life's beacon, guiding every choice, meticulously planning my twenty-second birthday as our destiny. But on that pivotal day in a Lower East Side bar, clutching my gift, my dream exploded. I overheard Jax' s cold voice: "Can't believe Savvy's showing up. She' s still hung up on that stupid thing I said." Then the crushing plot: "We' re gonna tell Savvy I' m engaged to Chloe, maybe even hint she' s pregnant. That should scare her off." My gift, my future, slipped from my numb fingers. I fled into the cold New York rain, devastated by betrayal. Later, Jax introduced Chloe as his "fiancée" while his bandmates mocked my "adorable crush"-he did nothing. As an art installation fell, he saved Chloe, abandoning me to severe injury. In the hospital, he came for "damage control," then shockingly shoved me into a fountain, leaving me to bleed, calling me a "jealous psycho." How could the man I loved, who once saved me, become this cruel and publicly humiliate me? Why was my devotion seen as an annoyance to be brutally extinguished with lies and assault? Was I just a problem, my loyalty met with hatred? I would not be his victim. Injured and betrayed, I made an unshakeable vow: I was done. I blocked his number and everyone connected to him, severing ties. This was not an escape; this was my rebirth. Florence awaited, a new life on my terms, unburdened by broken promises.
