My Treasured Love Chapter 1 Offended a fatal Lord

"Lulu, thank you for covering the shift for me today. I promise to treat you to a fancy meal when I get back!"

Lucy Swift checked the message sent by Iris White. There was a picture on the screen in which Iris pouted her mouth and threw her a kiss.

Lucy held up her phone and made the same expression as the one in the picture. The face reflected in the mirror was exactly the same as it was in the picture.

She took a picture and sent it to Iris with a message. "I've disguised as you to cover your shift. I'm having a stomachache now. What an ultimate price I've paid for you! If you still treat me to a spicy hot pot like last time, I'll go back and beat you."

"Iris! Hurry up. Room service!" The head waitress Nancy urged her outside the bathroom.

Lucy put her phone back and walked out of the bathroom. Nancy directly handed her a little box while seeing her out. "Send this to room 3017."

She took the box and walked with abdominal pain to the door of room 3017. She raised her hand to ring the bell. "Sir, you wanted the..."

She handed the box to a person when the door was opened. But before she could finish her sentence, the person suddenly grasped her wrist, yanked her into the room and slammed the door shut violently.

In the room, there were no lights, the curtains were also drawn. The man could not even wait to get to the bedroom, he threw her roughly onto the couch. Then he pressed his tall body on hers immediately.

Her stomach hurt so much that she had little strength to resist. After desperate struggling, she still failed to get rid of the man's control, but she had to allow his callous hand to push up her blouse and unzip her skirt along with her waistline.

"What are you doing?! There's surveillance outside. Someone will be here soon! If you dare to do anything to me, you will never get away with it!"

Her stomach getting more and more painful, Lucy pretended to be tough, but her voice trembled slightly. Under a distinct disadvantage, she had no chance to resist.

The man, however, sneered contemptuously, and then bent his head to kiss her neck.

Lucy drew a breath of cool air and stopped making any sound, a warm stream uncontrollably gushing out of her abdomen, which deadlocked both of them.

"This room! Open the door for me!"

The sudden voice outside the door made Lucy nervous. "Let me go now and I will pretend nothing happens today."

"Too late." The man's cold voice sounded in the dark. She could feel the man's lips against her ear, and even his breath was clear and audible. "Cooperate with me."

Lucy's eyes widened. Before she could ask, the door was suddenly pushed open.

A woman turned on the chandelier in the room and rushed in menacingly. When she saw the scene in the room, her eyes widened angrily, and her outstretched fingertips trembled. "Drag this bitch away from me, strip her and throw her to the street!"

Lucy was quite stunned to hear this. She subconsciously tried to get up, but was gripped by the man.

Raising her head, she finally saw the man's face clearly under the light. Her heart trembled.

What a face that was!

Handsome. His features and skin were too perfect to find any flaws, which would even make women feel jealous.

Arrogant. His eyes and expression were arrogant and domineering. What a rich man!

Cold. His thin lips were wearing a sneer. He stared at her with a chill look, as if it was wrapped in a layer of ice that could freeze people.

Austin Hanks? The young master of the Hanks Family? How did she run into such a fatal Lord?!

I arrived at my uncle’s mansion looking like human trash, clutching a one-way bus ticket and a duffel bag stuffed with old newspaper. My aunt looked at me with pure disgust, as if she could smell the poverty on my skin, but they needed me for one thing: to be a sacrificial lamb. They told me I was getting married to Julian Sterling, a man the elite circles called a violent monster locked in a cage. My uncle forced me to sign away my soul to save their failing fortune, while my cousin Kayla laughed and threw a torn dress at my feet, calling me a "rat from the Rust Belt." At the Sterling estate, the nightmare only deepened. Julian’s stepmother treated me like a horse she was forced to buy, ordering the staff to "burn off" my hair before locking me in the West Wing. I was thrown into a padded cell with a man who lunged at me, his heavy chains rattling against the floor as he roared with an animalistic rage that had already killed two nurses. They thought I was a pathetic, uneducated girl who "didn't read so good." They didn't know I had extorted two million dollars from my uncle before walking out the door, or that I was secretly recording every slap and insult they threw at me for future leverage. I huddled in the corner of that dark cell, letting them watch me tremble on the security feeds. I let Julian’s sister strike me with a riding crop and splash water in my face, playing the role of the clumsy, sobbing idiot to perfection. But the moment the cameras looped, the scared girl vanished. I pinned the "monster" to the floor, cut the neural tracking chip out of his neck with a hidden scalpel, and whispered into his ear as his blue eyes finally cleared. They thought they were sending a lamb to the slaughter. They had no idea they were sending a wolf to hunt a beast.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I went to the New York City Clerk's office to handle a simple administrative matter, but the woman behind the glass handed me a nightmare instead. It was a certified marriage license from Clark County, Nevada, filed exactly three months ago. My vision blurred as I read the name in the spouse field: Baxter Noel. I was legally married to the ruthless billionaire whose legal team was currently suing me for intellectual property theft and trying to destroy my career. I remembered the conference in Las Vegas and a drink that tasted far too sweet, followed by a twelve-hour black hole in my memory that I had chalked up to exhaustion. When I sought help at my family's estate, my stepmother and sister didn't offer comfort; they stole my passport, shredded my clothes, and framed me for academic plagiarism to strip away my university fellowship. Even Baxter himself looked me in the eye with cold indifference, claiming he didn't know me and promising to have me arrested for fraud if I ever showed him that document again. Within twenty-four hours, I was homeless, jobless, and being hunted by the most powerful man in the city. I couldn't understand why a man who "eats people for breakfast" would be caught in the same trap as a struggling scientist like me. The confusion turned to pure terror when I looked at the witness signature on the license: Gene Mcclain. My mother, who was supposed to have died in a car crash ten years ago, had signed that paper with a fresh, trembling hand only ninety days ago. "I am holding a grenade, and I have no idea when the pin was pulled." Standing in the biting November wind with nothing but a laptop and a marriage license, I realized I was just a pawn in a much deadlier game. I stopped running and began to fight back, determined to use my unwanted status as the billionaire's wife to uncover the truth about the mother who came back from the dead.

For seven years, I drank the bitter tonic my fiancé, Alpha Adrian, gave me, believing it would cure my "wolfless" defect. I was wrong. It was poison. He wasn't trying to heal me; he was keeping me weak so he could replace me with my foster sister, Ariel. When the fire consumed the Alpha's Wing, I was trapped under a burning beam, my legs crushed. Adrian kicked down the door. I reached out to him, screaming for help. But he didn't look at me. He looked at Ariel, who was lying on the floor in a silk nightgown. He scooped her up, cradling her like she was the only thing that mattered. I begged him not to leave me. Instead of helping, he used his Alpha Command on me, his voice booming with supernatural weight. "Stay put! I'll be back for you!" It was a lie. He used his power to freeze me in the inferno and left me to burn alive. I survived, only to watch him publicly reject me for her the next day, with my own father's blessing. They called me a "genetic dead end." They thought I would crawl away and die in shame. I didn't. I limped up the mountain to the Neutral Lands to find the one man everyone fears-the exiled Alpha, Garth Morgan. "I have the Gamma Bloodline Scroll," I told the massive figure emerging from the shadows. "I don't want your gratitude," Garth growled, his eyes like storm clouds. "I'm not here for gratitude," I replied, staring him down. "I'm here to make a deal with the devil."
