With a contract, she gave herself to a man in a mask. "Good girl, just relax and leave the rest to me." The man's hand touched Sophie Lopez's lips, and his low voice made her tremble, but she couldn't escape. A year later, she gave birth to twins, trying to avoid the man to keep a child, and then secretly left the city. She thought there would be no more contact. But she never thought that after a charity auction six years later, the two children exchanged their identities, and she was tangled again by him.

No Love But A Contract Chapter 1 Ten-million-dollar Selling Deed

"Miss Lopez, here it is." Sophie Lopez was a little hesitant. She was shocked when Lawyer Mr. Edwin, the driver, started to talk.

She responded, "Oh" softly.

"Miss Lopez, I am not going inside with you. The first room on the right above is the master bedroom ..." Lawyer Mr. Edwin left.

Sophie Lopez stood on the steps, looked at the three-story European-style villa in front of her, and watched Mr. Edwin driving away.

A month ago, the day Sophie Lopez received the college admission notice, she was so happy, but when she got home, she found that her mother was lying on the floor in the kitchen. The freezing cold was originally thought turned out to be acute leukemia.

After admission, Mrs. Lopez was undergoing chemotherapy while expecting for a suitable bone marrow. Seeing that her mother's condition was getting worse, she still could not find a suitable bone marrow. Until ten days ago, the appearance of this Lawyer Mr. Edwin brought her hope and shame at the same time.

Listening to the car going away, Sophie Lopez shoved the door and entered the villa. They should have been prepared for a long time. The lights in the villa were all on. She glanced inside the house and did not see anyone. She mechanically went to the second floor.

She opened the door of the master bedroom, seeing that the floor was covered with pure white carpets, and the orange light filled the room warmly. She looked up inside the room. The sofa was also covered with pure white blankets. There were also white beds and white curtains. The curtains were slightly open. Inside was a huge ground glass window.

Sophie Lopez couldn't help clenching her fists, and walked to the large glass window and looked outside where everything seemed to be mocking her. There was a blank in her mind and a lot of sweat in her palm. She knew that every girl would have a first time, while she never thought that her first time would happen under this kind of situation.

She just graduated from high school and never dated before, let alone having a beloved man, but she had no choice. Even if she was about to lose her virginity for the first time, she might not regret it. It was worth for her to exchange for her mother's life. Moreover, besides the precious bone marrow, there was the money she desperately needed at this time.

As long as she was pregnant, there would be 2 million for her. The mother's handling fee, hospitalization expenses, and nutrition expenses would all be solved. If she gave birth to a girl, Sophie Lopez would get 5 million. If it was a boy, Sophie Lopez would get 10 million.

During this time, she was so busy taking care of her mother that she didn't have time to think about why the other party got the child this way?

At this point, some thoughts flashed through her mind, and maybe she could communicate with "the financier" first. If her wife couldn't bear children, she was willing to surrogate, using scientific methods instead of unnecessary physical contact.

But she was a little scared, afraid of annoying "the financier". What if he refused to donate bone marrow? In this world, there was money, there would be tons of women who would like to accept the deal, and her mother's health was in her hand. For the whole month, there was only this one bone marrow suitable for mom. If she missed it, she might lose her mother, her only blood in the world. She couldn't lose her mother.

Biting her lips, as if making a decision, she took a deep breath, left the floor-to-ceiling window, and went into the bathroom.

This was the first time Sophie Lopez saw such a large bathtub, but at this time she was not in the mood to take a bath. Listening to the sound of the rushing water, a greasy middle-aged man with a big beer belly appeared in her mind, making her shivering. Her body was like falling into an ice cave, she wanted to escape desperately.

She took a quick shower and heard footsteps coming from outside. Sophie Lopez's heart was tightened, and her face went extreme pale instantly. She wanted to hide, even wishing she had magic, and she could immediately disappear from this room.

Footsteps were getting closer. Sophie Lopez held her hands tightly. Her arms were trembling and her throat seemed to be blocked. She couldn't make a noise when she wanted to cry.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

The Discarded Heiress: Marrying My Lethal Husband

Xiao Wang

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."
