Trinidad's Revenge Chapter 1 Prologue

Trinidad's POV

My mark was in sight, he was Antonio Alvaro, he was a fat man with balding head, he had a loud voice that could be heard all over the room, he was short and pudgy, he was currently with a group of men and they were all laughing loudly, at first glance someone might see him as just a fat jolly man but of course I knew better, underneath that jolly exterior lay a disgusting pig, he was someone who made his money through trading of young women for sex trafficking, normally I would feel a little pang of guilt but for disgusting pigs like Antonio Alvaro, I felt nothing but impatience that the mission was not done and over with, I had to act fast and without mistake.

I walked towards Antonio and his friends who sat in the bar area, there was no way that they wouldn't pay attention to me with my red dress that clung to every curve on my body and it was a really curvaceous body indeed, my blonde hair came flowing down to my shoulders in small curls, I had a dark red lipstick on and on my lids, I had applied smoky eye shadow, even the way I smelt right now will be hard to ignore,

Just when I was close to where they were sitting, I pretended to slip and fell right into Antonio's arms, they all suddenly quiet and I felt like I could throw up, the man smelt of tobacco and strong beer, I looked up at him with a look that screamed sleaze, I blinked, batting my eye lashes in the process, the disgusting pig licked his lips and I knew exactly what he was looking at, he was looking at my breasts, I could almost smile right now if the situation was any different, men were so easy to predict,

I quickly stood up "I am sorry, I mistakenly slipped and fell, that was so very silly of me" I said, my voice sounded so girlish and breathless,

Antonio quickly stood up and clasped my hand in his fat sweaty hand, I felt nausea rise in my throat but years of practice kept my smile in place,

"No my dear, there is absolutely nothing to be sorry for, it's something that can happen to just about anyone" Antonio said, a lecherous smile on his fat oily face,

"But still, I feel I must apologize for my mistake, allow me to buy you a drink to show you just how sorry I am" I said, I was practically purring now,

Antonio couldn't keep his lecherous gaze from sweeping over my body, it seemed like his friends had understood whatever it was that was going through Antonio's mind because they stood up and said that they were leaving already and that their wives were waiting at home, they were snickering and making lewd comments as they left, they probably thought their friend had hit the jackpot tonight,

The fat pig was far too busy looking at my breast and wide hips to listen to what his equally disgusting friends were saying,

"So what do you say? Should we have that drink?" I said batting my lashes at him,

The pig was obviously too overwhelmed to speak, he simply nodded and let me pull him towards the bar, he couldn't take his eyes off me,

"Two glasses of........" I started but stopped, I turned to look at the pig and said "Sorry which drink do you normally prefer?"

"Whatever you choose is fine by me my dear.... I am sorry but may I ask your name?" Antonio said, lust was so very evident in his eyes,

I smiled a smile that any call girl would have been proud of "It's Emily" I said, giving him the come and get me eyes and I knew without a doubt that the pig will attempt to get me for real,

I turned away from him and turned to the bartender and said "Two glasses of whiskey please" I could feel Antonio's eyes on me as I waited for the bartender,

"Coming right up Miss" the bartender said and quickly fixed the drinks,

He slid them to me and I picked up the glasses and turned back to Antonio who looked still very lustful, I placed the drink before him and smiled at him, I traced the rim of his glass with my fingertip then slowly pushed it to him,

"Your drink" I said with a sleazy smile,

The pig quickly stretched his hand and grabbed the cup, he downed the drink in one gulp,

I smiled and casually sipped from my own glass,

The pig moved closer to me and his appalling breath fanned my cheek,

"I was thinking we should get to know each other better, how about we go somewhere a little more quiet, what do you say my dear" Antonio said in a voice that was supposed to be sexy but it just ended up sounding raspy and very disgusting, I was finding everything about this man very disgusting indeed,

I smiled and said "We can get to know each other right here, don't you think? My voice was irritating even to my own ears but it seemed just fine for Antonio because his eyes became even more lustful than they were before,

"I don't think you understand me my dear, I meant on a more intimate level" Antonio said, his voice even raspier than before and again I found it disgusting,

I gave him a smile that even sleazier than before and said "You should have said so before"

Antonio gave me a smile and stretched his hand toward me, I looked down at the hand, it was fat and sweaty, swallowing whatever nauseating feeling I felt, I placed my small hands into the moist palm and stood up along with him,

He had a look in his eyes that was very identical to triumph, this will be over very soon, I kept telling myself so that I will not snap and do something I might regret, I just had to be patient, after all, patience was a virtue,

He led me toward the direction of the elevator, his hand resting on the small of my back, standing like this, I noticed he wasn't even up to my shoulders,

"Patience, Trinidad, patience is the key" I kept saying to myself and fixing a smile on my face I walked into the elevator with Antonio hanging on my arm

Once the doors of the elevator closed, Antonio was suddenly all over me, he wrapped his fat arms around my slender waist, he kept trying to kiss me and I kept tactically avoiding it,

He was like a dog that had seen a bone, the elevator finally opened and I was quick to point out that it had opened, with a surprising level of restraint, Antonio peeled himself off me and held on to my hand again, he had a sickening smile on his fat face,

We walked towards a hotel room, we got to a door and Antonio used his key card to open the door and we walked in,

As soon as the doors closed behind us, he was on me again, he was raining kisses on any part of my body he could reach,

And then suddenly he stopped, he stepped back holding his throat, trying desperately to breath,

I couldn't help the smile that crept into my face "I am sure that you find it difficult to breath now, but at least you can still draw in a few breaths and that will seize very soon and you will die from asphyxiation because your heart is currently going into override and when you die everyone will believe you died of a heart attack not from the lethal poison you consumed along with a glass of whiskey" I said and adjusted my dress in the places the disgusting pig had attacked me, I applied the poison on the rim of his glass when I had traced the rim,

His eyes were wide as he tried to draw in air, I walked up to him and said "Goodbye Mr Alvaro and in your next life, please try to be a slightly better person and you might not die such a gruesome death"

The disgusting pig struggled for a few more seconds and then fell to the ground unmoving, I bent down beside him and pulled a pair of gloves from my purse and slipped them on, I checked if he was breathing, he was not.

I stood up and walked out of the room, my mission here was done, I pulled out a small phone from my purse and dialled a number, it was answered on the third ring

"The sky is cloudy" a robotic voice said,

"And I have no umbrella" I said,

"State your ID number and codename Agent" the voice said again,

"ID number 67531, codename Fox" I said,

"Mission Status?" the voice said,

"Accomplished" I said,

"Well done Agent, Report to HQ" the voice said and the line went dead

I put the phone in my purse and got into the elevator with a smile on my face, leaving the memory and body of a disgusting pig behind me.

I thought I was waking up in the arms of Arthur, the man I loved. But as the morning light hit the Hamptons estate, the man buttoning his cuffs by the window turned around with eyes like chips of ice. It was Augustus Riddle, Arthur’s cruel younger brother, and I had just spent the night whispering confessions of love into the wrong man's ear. The night I thought was a beautiful beginning turned into a devastating nightmare. Instead of comfort, Gus treated me like a stain on his expensive carpet, scribbling a check for "services rendered" before shoving me into a dark service corridor to hide my existence from his brother. "How much does it cost to buy your silence?" He sneered, before leaving me barefoot in a torrential downpour while he drove away in a luxury Cadillac. Four years later, I am a struggling actress in Los Angeles, working double shifts as a barista just to keep the lights on. My life was finally stable until my roommate dragged me to a high-end dinner to meet her new "influential" boyfriend. The man sitting at the table, looking more arrogant and lethal than ever, was Augustus. He spent the entire night humiliating me, calling me a pathetic amateur and a social climber in front of my only friends. When I fled into the rain and collapsed on the sidewalk, skinning my knee until I bled, he watched from his car. He saw me clutching a plastic baggie containing the taped-together pieces of that four-year-old check—the only proof of my shame. He looked at me like roadkill, rolled up his window, and drove off into the dark. I couldn't understand why he was doing this. Why did he hate me enough to crush me, yet remember that I couldn't handle the smell of cigarette smoke? Why did he leave me bleeding in the street, only to send expensive medical supplies and coffee to my door the very next morning? "I'm moving out." I told my roommates, realizing that Gus Riddle didn't just want to destroy me; he wanted to haunt me. I grabbed my suitcase and walked out with eighty dollars to my name, finally ready to disappear into the city before he could burn the rest of my life to the ground.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.
