For a second he couldn't believe it, he stood there staring at her dumbfounded, his emotions went from anger to pain to anger again then back to pain. "Why?". His voice barely came out, he was afraid if it came out loud then it'd be as a roar. "What's your excuse for all this?". "I....I don't want to live anymore, I'm tired". She cried. "I've been tired for a long time now Raysham". Unable to control himself he grabbed her shoulder and backed her against the counter so there was no gap between them. "That is not an excuse!". He almost yelled. "That is not a fucking excuse!". She said nothing, just sobbed and sniffled quietly. "You are a coward Sayya, you lost faith in us, in yourself, Sayya you gave up on everything!". He said. Tears pricked his vision but he forced them back by blinking. "Yes you have been through a lot but you had absolutely no right to do that, you should have spoken to someone, if you hated me so much that you couldn't talk to me then you should have at least told Hytham!". He said. "My life isn't worth living Raysham, you know it!". She cried. "I don't know! All I know is that in months to come I will sit alone and grieve knowing you did this to us, I will grieve knowing you caused the pain". He said.

Chapter 1 PROLOGUE

"Stay". He spoke quietly.

He spoke knowing it was useless, she wouldn't listen to him, at times she did, but the line was drawn, not this time.

"Please".

She said nothing still, just kept her gaze straight as she took determined strides towards the door.

Suddenly she seemed nothing like the woman he'd become so found of, the woman who smiled so easily, who blushed at his comments so shyly, who melted and fit into his arms so perfectly.

She suddenly seemed like the woman he first met, one who would crack a smile only for courtesy demands, one who he once considered as frigid and heartless, she suddenly seemed like the CEO she was, she seemed like the Sayya Bilal he had grown to forget.

He hurried after her, his fingers encircled her wrist at once to stop her from leaving, he was almost relieved when her steps halted and she inclined her head a bit so her gaze fell on his hand holding onto hers.

For a moment he dared to habour a flicker of hope, however it vanished when she raised her teary gaze to meet his......her teary and very much decisive gaze.

Their gazes lingered and she smiled faintly, a smile that said a thousand words, they needed space, a lot of it.

He felt his heart shatter to bits as she gently tugged her hand free, he did nothing, truth is he could only do that much......nothing.

Nothing could ease the pain that engulfed him at that moment, nothing at all, it felt like he had last her, he felt that way though she was his.....

What the heck? Who was he kidding?

Once he could say she was his with no doubt at all, now however, he wasn't sure at all, now...it sound so unreal, so unnatural.

She turned around and resumed walking away.

Sayya, Sayya please.

His voice failed to come out, it seemed to be locked away ,locked far, far away, he wished against all odds that it'd break free and she'd hear him, maybe, just maybe she's stop.

He watched her walk away, she walked out of the house they had made their home, she walked out on him, walked away from everything they ever held dear.

My name is Katia, and I am just trying to survive until my fated mate arrives. Which may be easier said than done. Rejectection is the last straw. Whispering my acceptance of his rejection. I run through the pack house, out across the manicured lawn into the forest. "I'm sorry, my sweet girl," I say to my wolf. I'm sorry you have been stuck with me and have had to suffer everything I have. She whispers," it's not your fault, Katia. We came to a cliff with a waterfall. The hurt keeps pounding at me. I need it to stop. My sweet girl, and I just want peace, I keep running and leap off the cliff. Spreading my arms wide, with tears streaming down my face, I fall, not making a sound, waiting for sweet oblivion where we feel nothing ever again. "I love you, my sweet girl! Until we meet again, "My wolf replied just before we hit the water, "I love you too, Katia. I have never regretted a moment with you." The Snow Moon pack is having their last barbecue of the summer next to the waterfall on their land. The adults are laughing and joking while watching the pups play. The alpha, beta, and gamma are swimming with some of the older children and playing a game of Marco Polo. Someone yells, "Oh my goddess, someone just jumped over the waterfall!" Everyone is frozen as they watch what looks to be a child falling arms spread wide, no one makes a sound. The small body hits the water like a plane crashing into the side of a mountain. The alpha, beta, and gamma, spring into action, swimming towards the area the person went under. The alpha is screaming his wolf is going crazy repeating, "Find her. Find her...find her!" They dive and the beta surfaces with a small person in his arms. Alpha takes the girl from his beta, laying her on the ground. The men are shocked by what they see. She is covered in scars and injuries. Her body is twisted and broken. The Beta asks, "Who could have done this to someone so defenseless?" Alpha drops to his knees, repeating, "MATE...MATE...MATE!"
