JENNA It was the first time I did anything like this, one night no names, it was exciting, that was until I walked into my new job and there he was my new fucking boss, and to make things worse hes even hotter than I remembered how the hell am I supposed to do my job when all I can think about is that night and the things he did to me, just the thought has me clenching my thighs god help me now. JAMES When my new pa walks in I'm in complete shock, it's her the woman I haven't been able to stop thinking about for over a week. I'd spent most of this week trying to find her without any luck I was starting to think I'd imagined the whole night I was all set for giving up and then boom in she walks I can't fucking think straight all I wanna do is bend her over my desk and show her exactly how frustrated I am. Trouble is she's my fucking employee which means she's off limits. Fuck!!

Chapter 1 One night only

Standing there looking at myself in the full length mirror I had to admit alli had done a pretty amazing job I really did look hot. Tonight we were celebrating I had just landed a job as a personal assistant to the ceo of piranha a major marketing company. I had a week till my official start date so I planned on making tonight count, after all it would probably be my last night out in a while I heard the ceo was a real hard ass.

The club was out it took almost twenty minutes to get to the bar, but after a few shots I was buzzed and ready to dance. Not that I had much off a choice alli loved to dance and couldn't wait to get me on that dance floor and damn could she move. Alli was stunning and she never failed to draw a crowed especially when she danced. So when the hottest guy I had ever laid eyes on asked I would like to get a drink yes that's right me jenna the girl who would happily spend the day in pjs with my hair shoved back in a messy bun, the girl most guys wouldn't even give a second glance to especially when alli was around. So obviously I jumped at the chance I mean he wasn't just hot he was sexy as hell the way his shirt clung to his chest had me desperately wanting to see what was underneath.

We didn't bother with all the pleasantries like exchanging names we didn't even make it to the bar for a drink before his lips were on mine and fuck me I died and went to heaven, no guy had ever kissed me like that, kissed me in a way I wanted to tear off every piece of his clothing I would even go as far as saying I was desperate to have him. He clearly felt the same hunger I did and before I knew what I was doing We were leaving the club and heading straight for his place. By the time we reached his room we were both completely naked. I couldn't believe I was actually do this I was about to sleep with a guy who's name I didn't know and I certainly didn't have any intention of finding out this was going to be one night and one night only, guys like him didn't end up with girls like me so why not make it a night to remember.

It had been a rough week trying to get shit done around here without a PA was virtually impossible so when Vincent suggested going to the club I wasn't in a position to decline I needed to unwind.

Sitting in our usual vip booth with all the usual gold diggers approaching every 2 god damn minutes was started to drive me crazy "I'm getting out of here" I shouted to Vincent over the loud music "awe com on James, I'm sure one of these lovely ladies will help you relax and enjoy yourself" he shouted back with a smirk and a wink. Rolling my eyes at him I just turned to leave that's when I saw her she was an absolute goddess how had I never seen this woman in here before. She had long auburn hair and the most amazing emerald eyes that I could honestly get lost in for hours. I needed to know who she was. After asking her to get a drink with me she just stared at me with those big green eyes and before I could stop myself my lips were on hers, I was so fucking hard, I felt like a teenager all over again and before I even knew what I was doing we were leaving the club.

The entire taxi ride back to my place I couldn't stop kissing her she tasted amazing I couldn't get enough of her.

Waking up the next morning to an empty bed was rather disappointing did I imagine her was she a dream how had I managed to find and lose the most beautiful woman I had ever laid eyes on in less than twelve hours. Fuck I didn't even get her name I knew absolutely nothing about her how was it I had had the most amazing night of my life and not even bothered to ask the most basic questions, how the fuck was I going to find her. Someone had to know this girl I knew enough people in that club someone had to know who she was I mean this kind of girl stood out she was definitely the kind of girl who was noticed.

Jennas pov

Waking up with the hottest guy I had ever seen didn't seem real I mean I wasn't the type of girl to do night stands or even make impulsive decisions I planned everything and I most certainly didn't sleep with guys without even asking there name, oh my god what had I done, I felt the sudden need to leave and quick before he actually woke up. My dress was no where to be seen what the actual fuck how on earth did I lose my dress I grabbed one of his shirts and my shoes and made a run for it.

Twenty minutes later and I'm finally back at my tiny one bedroom apartment showered and curled up on the sofa watching cheesy romcoms with a tub of ice cream and nothing but memories of the best night of my life.

My phone buzzed it was a text from alli 'WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. WHO WAS THAT GUY. WHAT HAVE U DONE WITH THE JENNA I KNOW AND WOW JUST WOW TELL ME EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERY THIINNNGGG!!' and so it begins the interrogation process, I should have known alli wouldn't let this go for one she needed to know everything about well everything and second I did something impulsive I didn't think about it, I didn't make a pro and con list so obviously she was super excited and ready for the gossip. Fml this was gonna be a long day alli is gonna want every single detail.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner—my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn’t offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend’s apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I’d spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend’s face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.
