My Sassy Boyfriend

Sunny's POV

"I'm home!" I cooed as soon as I entered the house.

"Welcome back my lovely daughter! I thought you already ran away with Jared." said mom while she was lying on the sofa with a face mask on her face and two cucumbers on her eyes.

Dad was lying beside her too, gently massaging mom's feet.

Isn't it obvious that dad is being bullied by his own wife?

"Mom, dad, I have something to tell you."

"What is it? Don't tell me you're getting married with that Jared already just because you went out on a date for one day?" said mom without even moving.

I glanced at the doorway and beckoned Damon to go inside.

"No, mom. I just want to tell you guys that I finally got a boyfriend."

"Oh, really? Who is it again? Don't tell me you asked someone again to pretend as your boyfriend? I already told you, Sunny. You don't have to have a boyfriend for us to be proud of you."

I sat on the couch across from them. "Mom, this is not a pretend anymore. I already have a boyfriend, a real boyfriend."

"Alright, and who is he?"

"It's Damon. Damon Furlord." I said while smiling at Damon who's standing by the doorway.

Mom suddenly got up and accidentally kicked dad's face which caused him to fall to the floor. Her eyes widened while looking at me. "Damon Furlord?! Are you serious, Sunny? You already broke up with him, right? And you were with Jared when you left."

"It's a long story, mom. But what's important is that he's my real boyfriend now."

"R-Really? Where is he?"

I smiled. "Just right behind you."

Mom then shifted her gaze behind her and saw Damon standing there holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He walked towards my mom and handed her the flowers. "Good Evening, mommy."

"G-Good Evening." Mom took the bouquet of flowers from Damon's hand. "T-Thank you for this."

"Where's mine? Do you have something for me too?" dad suddenly kidded.

Damon raised his hand and gave dad a finger heart. "I'm sorry daddy but all that I can give you is my love."

"Oh, okay. That's enough for me I guess." Dad said as he threw a heart finger to Damon too.

Mom and I were just looking at the two idiots.

"Damon, is it true that Sunny is your girlfriend?" mom suddenly asked him.

Damon walked towards me and sat next to me. "Yes. Sunny is officially my girlfriend now. We are not pretending anymore."

"B-But how did that happen? I mean, that woman left this house with the other guy and now she came home with you?"

"Jared only used Sunny to have his revenge to me. He just wanted to take Sunny away from me because his ex-girlfriend broke up with him for me."

Mom's eyes widened even more. "J-Jared did that?!"

"Actually, I couldn't believe it either..."

"That bastard, how dare him do that to my youngest daughter?! I would really break his neck if he shows up here!" dad yelled.

"Then Damon appeared and saved you?" mom asked me.

I nodded. "Yes. I didn't know that he was there."

"That's so sweet!"

Damon and I looked at each other and laughed.

"Wait, you just said that you're in a relationship for real now, right?"

"Yes."

Mom and dad glanced at each other while moving this brows as if they were planning something bad. That actually made me nervous because they are surely planning to do something evil. I know my parents so much.

"If you two are really in a relationship, then prove it to us." Mom said as she crossed her arms and so dad imitated her.

"Huh?! What do you mean? How can we prove that?"

Dad looked at us with raised brows. "It's so simple, kiss each other."

My eyes automatically widened because of what he said. "W-What?!"

"That's so simple if you're really saying the truth."

"Mom, I already told you, I'm saying the truth!"

"Then kiss each other. What's so hard with that? Or don't tell me you're just pretending to be in a relationship again that's why you can't even kiss your own boyfriend?"

I heaved a sigh. "I can't really believe you, guys. Do you really want to see us kissing?"

They both nodded. "Uh-huh."

"Mom, are you serious?!"

"Why? You can't kiss Damon? You-

"We'll do it." All of us turned our heads to Damon when he spoke.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "W-What are you saying?"

"We'll do it. I mean, it's not that hard since we really love each other, right?"

"But-

"Or don't tell me you don't love me that's why you don't want to kiss me in front of your parents?"

he said while looking skeptically at me.

I rolled my eyes. "O-Of course I love you."

"Then let's show it to them," he said.

I looked at my parents who were looking intently at us as if they were really waiting for us to finally kiss.

"KISS! KISS HER NOW! KISS HER NOW!" Mom and dad yelled as if they were cheering Damon to kiss me already.

What kind of parents are they?

They are really driving me crazy.

"F-Fine! Let's end this stupidity now!" I said.

Mom and dad started clapping while wearing big smiles on their faces.

I shook my head as I looked at Damon who's already looking at me. He cupped my cheeks while directly looking into my eyes.

My heart started beating so fast.

I can't believe we'll be kissing each other in front of my parents. This is so awkward!

Damon started moving his face close to me. "Just close your eyes." He mumbled.

"H-Huh?"

"Close your eyes." He repeated.

"O-Okay..."

I closed both of my eyes but my heart still keeps on beating so fast while I was waiting for him to finally do it. I pouted while waiting for him, I thought he would really kiss me but then I just felt his lips on my forehead.

I opened my eyes when he moved away from me. He smiled at me. "I love you, Sunny. And I promise to be the best boyfriend for you. I promise that I will be your first and last."
