How did she break the spell?

Chapter 1 Vanessa__My Diary

My name is Vanessa Campbell and am just Seventeen last month. Am from the family of two that means am the only child of my Mom.

My dad died a year ago after he got into a car accident which took his life. Things went hard for my mom she had to struggle to raise me up on her own.

Am a boring teen like after everything that happens I just take my diary as my best friend at least I don't need a friend that would betray me just like Julliard.

Julliard was just a normal friend nothing attached but I was so stupid to have tell her everything about me to her. After we had a little issue she told everyone am just a nerd and am just a freaking idiot falling for the school player.

Carren was the only guy I ever had a crush on and it was only julliard I open up to but I end up been humiliated. I changed school even though mom wasn't happy about it because I made her spend too much and the only thing saving us was the house my dad bought before they took him away.

"No" I screamed our of my dream sweating profusely.

"Not again" I rub my face with my palm and reach for my diary lying on the bed beside me.

"I had the same dream again" I write into my diary before lazily standing up from my bed to my bathroom.

You want to know what kind of dream I have?.

Ever since i was five am always having this dream of a handsome guy that was always asking fo my help. The only word he keeps repeating was "Break the spell or I would be stuck in your fantasy only" his voice echoed into my head and I flinched.

"Vanessa calm down it just a dream and I don't think a guy like thate exist" I exhale.

If I could meet a guy like that am hundred percent sure he won't even look my side.

Like who the hell would like a girl that is ugly. I have a black long hair that actually doesn't look normal because it length is extraordinary.

A brown eye and am a little bit slimmy than normal but something I appreciate is am a little bit taller because if I was short I don't even know how I would actually be more bad than I am.

I totally don't exist in my school because no one even know me. Am always the Lowest in class grade actually am good at my subject but I don't want to get noticed in class so I am always on a low key.

Mom scold me anytime I bring my result home but do I look like I care only if she knows what am going through in school just because am having unusual look hair that makes people look at like am a beast or weird human being.

There was a particular day I was pissed off am went to cut it off only to wake up in the morning and found my hair in the same length.

"wtf!!!!!, mom who am I"I screamed that particular day. "Just calm down you would be fine"Mom tried calming me down.

Why am I the only one weird why is Mom not having strange dream, long hair unusual beauty I actually call uglyness.

"Vanessa I need to be at work or do you want to get me fired" mom screamed and I quickly brush my hair and use the hood am always Wearing to cover my head. That would cover my f**king hair and at least people won't notice me in my new school.

"Am coming" I responded.

Mom use dad car to drive me to school every morning before going to her work.

I had my breakfast which was French Toasted Bread and Scrambled egg.

"Bye Mom" I wave at her and she blew me a kiss before driving off. My mom and I aren't that close but we still have mother to daughter relationship probably.

I slung my bag well before walking to my locker. I unlock it and started putting my books into my locker. "My diary!!!!".

"Oh no tell me I didn't forget it" I put down all my books but couldn't find it.

This had never occurred to me am always writing into it anytime am less busy in school. What am I going to do today. I open my locker and was startled when I saw my diary on top of the book I put into the locker just the morning.

What going on? If I can remember vividly the book wasn't there before or I didn't see it?.

"Vanessa stop overreacting" I muttered and pick my history textbook and my diary for my morning class.

Since it history it going to be a long class and everyone really hate it at least not me.

I walk pass the student some notice me while some just keep laughing and talking to their friends.

I took the front sit as usual because people are they back are mostly the players or the unserious student and I don't want to get involve with them.

The class was noisy but immediately they notice Mrs. Williams are history teacher they all shut up.

"Good day student" she greeted normally students gives reply but not my class they just stare at the teacher like he or she was dumb.

"Before we start today class I would like to introduce two of your new colleague" she adjusted her glass and j almost laughed because it was in a funny way.

Everyone in the class always get excited anytime we have new student but am not always bothered about it.

"Duke and Ricky can you please come in now" she wave at the door and my attention went there to see the new applicant we are welcoming.

I almost lost it when the guy enter even the student gasped. He was freaking cute and hot like the guy I see in my dream but don't get me wrong he isn't the one.

The class was really noisy because the student won't stop making noise. His eye met mine and seriously he smiled at me. My cheek flushed immediately, he noticed me!!! I was going wild inside of me until the girl walk in.

Wait!!! she was having the same black weird hair like me and the kind of beauty I call uglyness and something special about this is the fact she looks like me but not actually like me. She smiled at me too and I just sit there not knowing what to do.

I did check my astrology this morning and my spiritual reading but today is my lucky day.

Those two are breathtaking to be sincere.

"Let me introduce you to Duke and Ricky they would be your new classmates from now on"Mrs.William signal for them to take a seat and they did the unexpected the both of them took the empty space beside me.

"Awwwn I should be the one sitting there" one of the girls said and I rolled my eye.

They've all avoided me because am always dressing weird only if they know I was covering my stupid damn hair.

"Is this your natural hair" a girl a bit close to Ricky asks and she only smiled not saying a word.

"Hi Vanessa" the hot guy whispered and I almost lost balance.

The way he called my name was sweet and romantic did God finally answer my prayer and gave me a cute guy.

But how did he know my name.

"How come you know my name before even asking" I asks and he was just stammering.

"We check the class register" Ricky Replied.

"Am Ricky" she stretch out her hand and I took them. Her hand were damn soft too hard to believe they are human.

"Are you sure you are a human" I asks stupidly and she smiled.

"No am not a human" she replied and I froze.

She say some weird words and I turn to see Duke smiling.

What going on here!!!!

I lived as the "scarred ghost" of the Stephens penthouse, a wife kept in the shadows because my facial burns offended my billionaire husband’s aesthetic. For years, I endured Kason’s coldness and my family's abuse, a submissive puppet who believed she had nowhere else to go. The end came with a blue folder tossed onto my silk sheets. Kason’s mistress was back, and he wanted me out by sunset, offering a five-million-dollar "silence fee" to go hide my face in the countryside. The betrayal cut deep when I discovered my father had already traded my divorce for a corporate bailout. My step-sister mocked my "trashy" appearance at a high-end boutique, while the sales staff treated me like a common thief. At home, my father threatened to cut off my mother's life-saving medicine unless I crawled back to Kason to beg for a better deal. I was the girl who took the blame for a fire she didn't start, the wife who worshipped a man who never looked her in the eye, and the daughter used as a human bargaining chip. I was supposed to be broken, penniless, and desperate. But the woman who stood up wasn't the weak Elease Finch anymore; she was Phoenix, a tactical predator with a $500 million secret. I signed the divorce papers without a single tear, walked past my stunned husband, and wiped the Finch family's bank accounts clean with a few taps on my phone. "Your money is dirty," I told Kason with a cold smile. "I prefer clean hands." The cage is open, the hunt has begun, and I’m starting with the people who thought a scar made me weak.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.
