The Wrong Twin Chapter 1 Beginning

Chantel

How the hell did I end up in bed with my worse enemy to make matter worse I have a wedding ring In my finger staring at hoping it could give me some answers as to how the hell did I end up getting married I didn't came up here for that truth be told I was drinking more than I should've once I saw that Trevor was part of the wedding parties why would Sylvia invite him I don't know she knows how much I don't like him sometimes I just don't get my best friend.

Rolling the ring in my palm I'm still not finding any excuses as to why I would agree to marry him I want to believe that no matter how much alcohol I drink I wouldn't end up in this situation opening my palm to see the ring shining back at me I knew I was in trouble ,got of the off the bed I made my way to the bathroom for a Shower once done I got dressed grab the certificate of the bed side table with a business card that was on it with that I was on a mission to find out if I can get myself out of that stupid situation.

As I'm rushing out of the hotel lobby I pump into something hard it took everything in me not to grab a feel at who it was I raise my head to see that it was Trevor are you serious I can't get a break from this man like when I kick you I meant don't bother I wish he could take a hint ,moving out of his way he step in front of me to stop me i gives a little space the last thing I need right is for him to be in my personal space " watch were You going baby doll" uhh him with the nickname how dare he telling me to watch were I'm going " don't stand in the way and you won't be hit" I let him while I'm trying to walk around him once again he block me which starts to irritate me "stop doing that" with one more attempt I try to go around me he reaches for me at the same time only to rip my bag of my shoulder and have everything out on the floor kneeling to pick up my stuff I saw that he was trying to help before I could pick up the paper he had his hands on it and he Was reading "why is my name on this marriage certificate we married?" Rolling my eyes I tried to grab it from him but he holds over his head with his 62 tall to my 5"2 I was hardly reaching his chest so I give up trying while he was busy reading I made my getaway at least that's what I thought until I heard running turning to see him behind me " what is it now" I open my arm wide to him " why didn't you tell me we got married?" He must think I'm stupid " why you care it's not your name so stop it and leave me alone" I kept on walking " of course it's my name why would I lie about that" wow this man is really getting on my nerve " so your name is Terrence now what happened for you to change it" grabbing my arm he say " why do think I change my name?" This time I truly Ignore him I saw that chapel that I assume we did the deed in.

Walking in I saw some Pastor I'm assuming that's what he was going for so I ask him " did you see us come here last night?" Giving me once a lot of people coming in here pretty lady" the way he says that give me the creep shaking myself of I say " I just wants to know if that's where we got married" seeing the paper he goes with the creepy voice " oh yes you did it here, why?".

" I want an annulment, can I do it here or I have to wait till I get home" coming between me and the man was Trevor " wooh do you want to do this?" Is he serious right now I don't bother giving him an answer " yes when you get back home you can send In your paper work" saying thank you I left the chapel with Mr. parasite right on my heel " did you not have anything better to do today or did you plan it to torture me like you did in high school" I turn my angry stare at him with my little finger poking his big chest.

" I think you got me confuse because I never torture in high school I didn't even know you back then" oh now he's playing mind games that's rich of him " alright then let's go back to not knowing each other about that" making my way back to the hotel I need a drink like this is too much I knew I need it to stick to my guts when I told my friend I didn't want to go to Vegas now look what happened I got drunken married to a man you made the best things in my life the worse experience for me and now he is pretending he don't know me I wish I could be like him and act like nothing happens but I can't because those things happens to me me the farther I'm from him the better I feel for some reason he keeps on following me I'm just praying I could get to my room in peace I tried to get ride of him one more time " can you leave me alone ?" I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.
