General Justine Estes died in the cold vacuum of space, betrayed and murdered by her most trusted subordinate. But instead of eternal rest, she woke up five hundred years in the past, trapped in the weak, bruised body of a disgraced socialite who shared her exact name. A flood of pathetic memories hit her. The original girl had just been poisoned and dumped in a filthy alley by her jealous stepsister, Julissa. When Justine dragged this battered body back to the family mansion, there was no comfort waiting for her. Her stepmother faked tears, her stepsister leaked doctored club photos to frame her for a dirty scandal, and her billionaire fiancé looked at her with pure disgust, plotting to ruin her just to break their engagement. Her father, blinded by the fake rumors and his own vanity, raised his hand to viciously strike her across the face. "From this day on, you are no longer my daughter! I will disown you!" For a proud, decorated war hero, the arrogance of these weak civilians was laughable. How did this pathetic family dare to treat her like dirt, and what dark conspiracy was actually hiding behind the original mother's mysterious disappearance? But she was no longer the cowering, helpless girl they were used to bullying. As her father's hand swung down, Justine simply stepped aside, letting the heavy blow crack across her stepsister's face instead. Leaving the screaming family behind, she walked out the door, ready to turn this gilded cage into a battlefield.

Reborn General: The Tycoon's Untamed Fiancée Chapter 1

A piercing klaxon shrieked through the suffocating red glow of the escape pod. "Hull breach detected. Stasis field... offline. Atmospheric compression failing in twenty seconds." The automated voice was steady, indifferent to the dying woman trapped within the metal coffin.

Her flagship, the Vindicator, was gone. The grand fleet of the United Star Systems-three hundred dreadnoughts that had once crushed alien armada after alien armada under her direct command-had been turned to burning stardust.

She was Fleet Commander Justine Estes, Supreme General of the Star Alliance, known across colonized galaxies as the 'Valkyrie of the Void.'

Her tactical brilliance had defended humanity's frontiers for over a decade. Yet she hadn't fallen to enemy fire. She had been gutted from within.

Her second-in-command, Vice-Admiral Midas, had crippled her flagship's reactor shields during the final assault on the Orion Ridge.

She still remembered his face on the bridge holoscreen-smug, ambitious, and venomous. 'The Republic is archaic, Justine. The new empire belongs to those willing to pull the trigger.' Her loyal vanguard had sacrificed themselves to force her into the last emergency pod, but the explosion had shattered her neural core.

The pod's viewport spider-webbed under the merciless pressure of the vacuum. As the glass pulverized into diamond dust, Justine didn't weep or plead. She unleashed a final, silent roar of pure, lethal hatred into the void.

If there is an afterlife, Midas, I will crawl out of its furnace and rip your throat out.

Then came the darkness.

An eternity passed in an instant. The sterile, odorless vacuum of space vanished, replaced violently by a wet, putrid chill that clung to her throat.

Justine gasped, her chest heaving as she dragged in a lungful of air reeking of rancid garbage, stagnant rainwater, and diesel exhaust.

A violent, racking cough shook her frame. She tried to roll onto her side, expecting the rigid chassis of her combat exo-suit, but her palms slammed against cold, gritty asphalt.

She stared at her hands through the murky gloom of the alleyway.

They were small, slender, and disturbingly soft. Chipped pink polish clung to manicured fingernails.

The skin was smooth, utterly devoid of the kinetic scars, plasma burns, and reinforced dermal implants she had earned across thirty planetary campaigns. She touched her collarbone; the jagged scar from a kinetic sniper round was gone. Her broad, muscular shoulders were replaced by fragile, bird-like bones.

This is not my vessel. This is not my time.

A blinding spike of agony stabbed through her frontal lobe. A violent cascade of memories collided with her military consciousness, tearing through her synapses like shrapnel.

She had reincarnated five hundred years into the past, into early 21st-century Earth. The body belonged to a twenty-one-year-old girl who shared her exact name: Justine Estes.

But unlike the warlord who once commanded star systems, this Justine was the ultimate domestic casualty-a naive, desperate socialite heiress whose life was a tragic joke.

The memories revealed a relentless cycle of humiliation. This girl had spent years obsessively chasing Jared Little, a slick, narcissistic tech founder who used her family's wealth while treating her like dirt. Worse, she lived under the thumb of her stepmother, Darlene, and her stepsister, Julissa. For years, they had gaslit her, isolated her from her father, and framed her as an unstable addict.

And tonight had been the final execution. Julissa had handed her a champagne glass laced with veterinary-grade sedatives in a VIP club booth, smiling sweet as honey. 'Drink it, big sister. It will make your headache go away.' Once the drug paralyzed her, Julissa had paid three street thugs to drag her into this blind alley to be assaulted, filmed, and drowned in the river.

The girl's heart had stopped from the overdose. And the Supreme Commander had taken her place.

"Look at that, boys. The sleeping beauty woke up early," a coarse, gravelly voice sneered from the rain.

Three silhouettes stepped into the mouth of the alley, blocking the only exit against the orange glow of distant streetlights.

The leader, a hulking man wearing a grease-stained leather jacket, pulled a flick-knife from his pocket. The blade clicked open with a metallic snap.

"Julissa said you liked to fight back," the leader licked his cracked lips, stepping through the puddles. "Makes it more fun for us."

The lingering chemical fog in the girl's veins begged her to curl into a ball and weep. But beneath the fragile flesh burned the terrifying, unyielding soul of a galactic conqueror.

Justine pushed herself upright against the wet brick wall. She tilted her chin, her eyes narrowing into two slivers of pure, predatory frost.

"You have three seconds to drop that iron and crawl out of this alley," she said, her voice dropping into an icy cadence that cut through the pouring rain. "Or I will make sure the coroner needs a dustpan to scrape you off this asphalt."
