I survived ten years of a brutal, flesh-tearing apocalypse on Earth, only to wake up in a damp, alien jungle. Before I could even catch my breath, a squad of heavily armed men ripped the glowing core out of a truck-sized mantis monster. Then, one of them shifted into a massive, two-headed black hound and cornered me against a tree. My energy reserves were completely dry. Facing a team of elite, beast-shifting predators, a direct fight was absolute suicide. So, I suppressed every ounce of my S-class killing intent, huddled in the dirt, and forced my eyes to well up with terrified tears. I expected to be interrogated or killed on the spot. Instead, the moment they caught my scent, the ruthless killers froze in utter shock, their hostility vanishing into thin air. "A wild female..." They whispered the words like I was a priceless, fragile artifact. I quickly learned the absurd truth of this universe: females were incredibly rare, powerless treasures worshipped and protected by powerful beast-men. Without missing a beat, I clutched my head and faked a flawless case of amnesia. I played the helpless victim, letting their terrifying, notoriously untouchable alpha leader carry me to his starship, secure my legal citizenship, and hand me the keys to a luxury villa along with a hundred million credits. After a decade of fighting for scraps, I finally had a ticket to a perfect, pampered life. Now, I just have to make sure these overprotective men never find out about the world-destroying power dormant inside me.

Pampered By The Cold Panther Alpha Chapter 1

A violent tremor ripped Autumn from the depths of unconsciousness.

Her eyes snapped open. She was lying in a bed of damp ferns, the air thick with the smell of blood and rot.

Another roar, a shriek of tearing metal, echoed through the dense jungle. The ground shook again.

She didn't move. She closed her eyes, her senses stretching out, mapping the terrain through sound and vibration. This was instinct, honed over a decade of survival in a world that had tried to kill her every single day. She was a survivor from a post-apocalyptic Earth, and her first rule was always the same: assess.

A gut-wrenching scream, not quite human, not quite animal, tore through the air, followed by a cataclysmic crash.

Autumn pushed herself up, her body screaming in protest. Every muscle ached. Her energy reserves, the wellspring of her power, were almost completely dry. An old wound in her left shoulder throbbed with a dull, familiar pain.

She hid behind the trunk of a massive, moss-covered tree and peered toward the source of the noise.

The sight made her pupils constrict. In a crater-like clearing, a creature resembling a praying mantis, as large as a truck, lay dead. A gaping hole was torn in its chest, oozing green blood.

Standing near the corpse were several figures in black combat gear. One of them had an arm that was not human-it was a clawed limb covered in black scales.

A wave of realization crashed over her. This wasn't Earth. These people could partially transform into beasts. That mantis monster was no earthly creature.

She was weak. Powerless.

One of the combatants, a man with the fluffy ears of a wolf, lifted his head and scanned the surrounding forest. His gaze was sharp, predatory.

Autumn held her breath, melting into the shadows.

She counted them. Six. Well-equipped, their power levels unknown but clearly high. A direct confrontation would be suicide. This was a tactical retreat, a situation demanding not strength, but cunning.

The team moved with practiced efficiency, carving into the Beastfiend's carcass. They extracted a fist-sized, glowing crystal from its chest.

One of them tossed the crystal to a tall man who was clearly their leader. He caught it, his cold eyes sweeping the forest, and for a heart-stopping moment, they seemed to lock directly onto her hiding spot.

A powerful, oppressive aura washed over her.

She'd been found.

In the fraction of a second it took for that thought to form, she made a decision. She suppressed every flicker of her own power, every ounce of killing intent she possessed. She would become what they needed to see: a harmless, terrified victim.

A massive, two-headed black hound detached from the group. Each head snarled, dripping saliva, its eyes glowing with malevolence as it stalked toward her.

The thud of its paws was a drumbeat counting down her final seconds. Even facing S-class Infected back on Terra, she had never felt this passive.

She didn't run. Running would only trigger their hunting instincts.

The two massive heads poked around the tree. Four cold, merciless eyes stared down at her, a small, huddled figure in the dirt.

Autumn forced every muscle in her body to tremble, to lock up in a convincing display of pure terror.

She looked up, her light brown eyes wide, swimming with manufactured tears of fear and confusion. She stared into the face of the monster.

The hound paused. A low, confused growl rumbled in its chests. It seemed perplexed by her weakness.

From the clearing, the leader gave a low whistle. The hound hesitated, then took a step back, its eyes still fixed on her.

Then, something impossible happened. The hound's form began to shift, to morph. The massive beast dissolved into two separate, tall, powerfully built men.

The rules of this world slammed into her mind again, but her face showed nothing but raw fear.

The tall leader walked toward her, his long strides confident and heavy. Each step radiated an invisible pressure that made the air feel thick.

He stopped in front of her, his shadow completely engulfing her.

She could smell the faint scent of blood and smoke on him, the smell of a top predator fresh from a kill.

Her mind raced, scripting her lines, perfecting her role for the interrogation to come.

The man looked down at her, his ice-blue eyes devoid of emotion, as if he were observing an inanimate object.

Then he slowly crouched, bringing his face level with hers. His voice was a low, deep rumble when he finally spoke.

"Who are you?"
