Chapter 1 Natalia POV

"Mommy, Mommy!"

I heard yelling from outside of my bedroom. The yelling woke me up from my sleep, So I begun to get up from my bed. My head turned looking at the clock reading 3:05 A.M. I snapped my head again in front of me when the door creaked open showing my little Miya.

She stood there with her pink zebra pattern pajamas and bunny slippers. She looked so cute with her curly brown messy hair, and her big milky brown eyes. She rubbed her eyes tiredly looking at me.

"Mom bathromf pwease?" She said with pleading eyes.

"Okay, sweetheart let's go."

This time I got off from the comfy bed and swung my legs over. Once my feet touched the floor, I hurriedly walked across my bedroom to Miya. I scooped her up in my arms walking fast to the bathroom making sure she doesn't pee on herself.

Once I entered the bathroom and lifted the toilet seat up. I sat her the on the toilet and squatted down so I was eye level with her and began my routine that I do every time encouraging her when she needed to use the restroom.

"Come on my girl, you got it. Come on, baby girl you can do it!" After a little words of encouragement she finally peed.

I picked her up from the toilet seat and stood her up on the ground, helping her put her pajamas pants on. I than proceeded to lift her up again and sat her on my legs and between the sink. I pumped the soap on her hand and washed them with warm water. Once the soap was gone from her hands I sat her on the ground again and walked her to her room.

Her room was a decent size. It wasn't too big nor too small. Her walls were pink and purple, which matched her bed comforter which was pink with purple dots. She also had a dresser on the side of the room with her favorite books and movies.

I walked her to her bed and laid her down. Once I wiggled her in the bed and tucked her in, I faced her, and cradled her in my arms.

"Do you want me to read you a story baby girl? She nodded her head in response.

"Which one? I asked

""Twiger and the tu-r-tt-wle"! She said with a gleam in her eyes.

I chuckled at her stumbling words. I picked the book from her collection and sat down on the bed and started reading. About 5 minutes later we finally came to the last page, I read out the last words to her before I closed the book.

"The turtle and the tiger roamed the land being forever friends.

THE END"

After closing the book I looked at my Miya and realized she was asleep. I kissed her forehead and swept her hair from her face.

"Goodnight baby girl. I whispered in her ear.

I put the night light on beside her bed, and walked to door. I looked back at her one last time before I closed the door fully. I breathed a sigh of relief and headed to my bedroom. Once I entered in I crawled into my bed trying to sleep away the few hours I have left before waking up early.

There was an interview that I had to attend tomorrow morning at The National Elect Industries and I wanted to get a good sleep. The last thing I need was to have an attitude first thing in the morning because lack of sleep. So I decided to lay my head on the soft cold pillow and get under the warm covers. I turned on my side to get more comfortable. I finally closed my eyes waiting for sleep to come.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?
