In the year 2333, humanity has fallen and ruled by werewolves. Bellatrix Sinclair, an 18-year-old weapons prodigy that despises werewolves for destroying her family has been secretly planning to join the human rebellion. However, she is forced into the Mate Selection Process and matched with Lazarus De Loughrey, the ruthless Werewolf King obsessed with claiming her. He shouldn't want her and she should hate him but they cannot resist each other. It's a twisted connection, entirely physical because all I am is his slave. My heart should belong to my best friend Emmett, a human. Atleast the guilt of betrayal wouldn't be eating away at my insides. ___________________________ "Yes please." She begs. "Then fucking let me in." I growled, this fury exploding with vengeance. I wanted to destroy her pussy. It was maddening, it was sickening, it was barbaric. But I never claimed to be saint. "Here that baby, that's the sound of your greedy pussy sucking on my cock. Give me more, drench me." "Lazarus." She moans painfully, "Please let me come." I'm doused in gasoline and set alight, sweat coats my skin as I pound into her faster and harder. I'm definitely hurting her, "Wanna come?" I rasped, "Not until I say so." Pressing my lips onto hers, pushing my tongue into her mouth until I feel the sweetness of hers. The kiss is sloppy and filthy. She cries as I drive my cock into her, the intensity too much to handle, sweet tears sliding onto her cheeks. "Fuck yes." I smile sadistically, licking her tears. "Cry for me Ma Cherie." "Please, please let me come My King." She pleads. "Say it again." Lightening shooting down my spine as she begged, "My King, please let me come. I'll be good." I chuckled, "Try your luck to kill me Ma Cherie, I dare you."

Chapter 1 Despair

As the only human attending classes with all the werewolves, it feels like I'm the lone sheep in a wolf pack.

I take a deep breath, burying my head lower. I don't dare make eye contact with any werewolf to avoid further bullying. Most humans believe the only way to escape bullying is to become the mate of the werewolf king. I find that idea revolting!

I focus my attention on today's textbook, but as I rummage through my bag for it, my fingers touch something sticky, making my stomach churn. I tear open the book to find a tar-like substance reeking with a putrid smell. They're completely ruined, and I don't have money to buy new ones.

Suddenly, the five core bullies in the classroom burst out laughing, as if they'd been eagerly anticipating this very scene.

One of the core bullies, Kelly, didn't think this was enough. She approached me as crumpled paper balls flew towards my head. Her glossy pink lips curled into a sly smile. "Looks like you've made quite a mess of things."

My brows knotted, biting my tongue in frustration as Serena yanked my ponytail, sending shots of fire to my scalp from the tight grip. Serena chuckles, "Aw, such a shame. Plus, this class requires that textbook and if you don't have it, then it's an automatic fail and you will be kicked out."

I fucking knew that. My nostrils flared as Kylie lifted her flask, pouring scalding hot coffee over my head. Searing my scalp and patches of my skin, staining my uniform an ugly brown colour. My throat tightened as everyone partook in my demise, taking the invitation to throw drinks and food at me, to the point that I reeked.

Benedict threw his arm over Kylie, grabbing her textbook and knocking it repeatedly at my head. "Humans are disgusting creatures aren't they," he mused, "so weak, so helpless and so breakable."

I couldn't speak, I couldn't scream, I couldn't fight back without breaking the rules and warranting my own demise.

Because in Nexus Academy; I was the only human, and I had to obey. Keep my head down and suffer their wrath. The only reason I was accepted into the Academy is specifically for my talent regarding weaponry, a remarkable skill for design that surpassed even their own kind.

Which led me to my current predicament, constantly being harassed and bullied. My heart pounded viciously, eager for vengeance that tasted like sour candy. My uniform sticks to my skin, some patches drying with a layer of film, digging my nails into my palms to restrain myself.

I was no match for wolves, well.not without a weapon.

Mrs Winona enters, everyone falls silent. She was the literary professor and to my knowledge – all the guys wanted to fuck her and the girls despised her.

Surrounded by werewolves made me discover that they were jealous creatures. Another reason why they continuously harassed me is because I am better than them when it came to weaponry. A lethal combination of jealousy and hatred that they purged upon me.

"What is this absurdity?" She questioned, lifting a critical brow at me. "I'm aware that you love attention Bellatrix, but surely this is crossing the line."

Grinding my teeth and clenching my jaw in tandem. This wasn't my fucking fault, and she knew it, but she fucking loved the attention the boys gave her when she agreed with them

I hate them. They are the most despicable people in the world.

"Alright, put that intelligence of yours to use on weapons," Ms. Vinona said with disgust. I took a deep breath.

Changing into my spare uniform for emergencies, I imagined the target in front of me was all the werewolves.

I pulled the trigger with my finger until the recoil pierced my shoulder with a slight sting. Bang, the bullet veered off target.

The royal five immediately burst into laughter.

The gun in my hand flickered with heat, and I gritted my teeth as it grew hotter, scorching my skin. It burned my palm, the intense pain causing my body to react by uncontrollably trembling.

They had tampered with my gun, but I didn't know how.

I didn't even hear Ms. Vinona dismiss the class, as all eyes were on the five wolves gradually approaching, satisfied smiles on their faces..

Archibald is the first to reach me, kicking the back of my knee until I collapse. Kylie laughs, a high-pitch sound that grated on my nerves. "Look at you now, so pathetic."

Benedict cocks his head, silently ordering Archibald. He steps behind me, twisting my arm holding the pistol backwards until I felt a sharp pain shoot to my shoulder, making me drop it. Suddenly, he drives his boot into my back.

A wave of nausea cultivated in my throat, bile touching my tongue. My back throbbed from the pain, I almost felt like he broke my spine. Through blurry vision, Serena swiftly shifts to my right and snatches a chunk of my hair, pulling until I feel each prickle in my scalp. "You think you are something here, newsflash little human bitch. Just because you play with guns, doesn't make you anything special." She snarled.

Benedict approaches and Serena yanks until I have no choice but to look up at him, his dominance and malice exuding from his pores. My stomach twists in fear as those vicious obsidian orbs bore into mine, "You know the rules human, what is it?" he grips my jaw, "Repeat it."

"Humans are the most useless creatures," I recited in a trembling voice.

"Good," he said with satisfaction, then poured ink all over me. The chemicals tickle my nostrils, the paint thick and blinding. Humiliation bubbles in my chest, stinging my eyes from the tears that want to fall. Cradling my injured hand, unable to breathe properly from the way my body quakes.

They laugh and I feel that familiar ball of fire flaring in my chest.

"Black really is your colour." Serena giggles in parting.

"We should have gone with red, give her a Carrie moment." Kylie suggested.

"Wasn't that pig's blood?" Archibald queried.

Kylie waves a dismissive hand, "Next time."

Because there will be a fucking next time.

I was powerless against this, we were destined to not escape the pursuit of the wolves. Now was the era of wolves ruling over humans. My parents were gone, and my only relative was my twin sister Bonnie. We were sent to an orphanage together, I loved her no matter how she treated me.

I blamed my father's death on these wretched creatures, and I couldn't just stand by and watch them continue to rule the world. I couldn't watch them rule the world for another fifty years without any punishment.

From then on, I started studying, researching the mastery of weapons, in order to develop a weapon that could exterminate the wolves. This course made me stand out, I was smarter than them in every aspect here.

But I was also bullied, and when they left, I received a call from Nathan, "Nathan-"

"Where are you?" he asked in a gruff voice, "You have to be here in five minutes, or you won't get paid."

A chill ran through my body again, he terrified me more than the Royal Five-

But I had to listen to him. "I'll be there in five minutes."

Escaping their tyranny was never an option. Technology had advanced to the point where humans were registered in their system from birth, they would know who left.

I also couldn't avoid the gene screening, because the consequence wasn't death, but months or years of loneliness and torture. Now, education was my only way out, because if I became a weapons expert, I could aim for their hearts while they slept.

I would, I just prayed that I would never be chosen by the wolves to be their mate.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.

One Night With My Billionaire Boss

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner—my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn’t offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend’s apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I’d spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend’s face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.
