Five years ago, Princess Lyra accidentally swallowed a magical marble-a life source belonging to a mysterious wolf king from another world. Now, the powerful and relentless Wolf King has crossed into her world, searching for the girl who unknowingly holds his magic. As Lyra struggles to live her life, unaware of the danger that follows her, the Wolf King draws closer with every heartbeat. One fateful encounter will change both their destinies forever. In a world where magic, fate, and forbidden love collide, will the princess survive, or will she fall under the power of the wolf king she never knew existed?

Chapter 1 The Search Begins

The night was quiet, but the forest was alive with unseen movements. The Wolf King moved swiftly, his dark cloak blending seamlessly with the shadows, only his golden eyes glowing like twin lanterns in the moonlight. Every step was careful, deliberate, yet urgent.

"Your Majesty," a soft voice spoke behind him. His trusted guard, a tall, muscular wolf-shifter, followed silently. "Do you truly think we will find her in this world after five years?"

The Wolf King's gaze didn't waver from the dense forest ahead. "We have to," he said, voice low, almost a growl. "I lost something that night... something I cannot survive without. That marble-it's been inside her all these years."

The guard's eyes widened. "All these years?"

The King paused, his golden eyes reflecting the silver light of the moon. "Five years ago, I was gravely injured. Hunters from my world chased me without mercy. I had no choice... I escaped into this world."

He glanced at the guard, the shadows of his cloak hiding most of his face. "I had never imagined that the marble inside me-the one that holds a piece of my life, my power, my kingdom-would leave me. That it would end up inside a human... a child of another world."

The guard bowed slightly, sensing the gravity of his King's words. "And now you've finally found a lead?"

The Wolf King's eyes narrowed. "Yes. She is alive. The marble is still within her. I can feel its pull. It calls to me."

A sharp gust of wind rustled the trees, and the Wolf King instinctively crouched, his ears twitching beneath his hood. The forest seemed alive tonight, whispering secrets only he could hear. He moved forward, silent as the shadows, every muscle tense, every sense alert.

"I remember that night clearly," he murmured under his breath, almost to himself. "She fell from the tree, shouting as she tumbled... and by accident... she swallowed the marble. My marble. My life. I was so weak, so injured... I could do nothing but watch. And then I lost her."

The guard kept pace silently. He knew better than to interrupt. This memory had haunted the Wolf King for half a decade. Every night, every hunt, every thought was consumed by the marble that now lived inside a human from another world.

The King's hand brushed the edge of his cloak, tightening it around his face. Only his golden eyes were visible, burning with urgency. "We find her tonight," he said, voice low and commanding. "No matter what it takes."

The forest stretched endlessly before them, shadows shifting with the wind. The Wolf King moved like a predator, each step calculated, each heartbeat synchronized with the pull of the marble. Somewhere ahead, the girl who had unknowingly taken his life's essence walked freely, unaware of the storm that was hunting her.

"And when we find her," the guard whispered cautiously, "what then, Your Majesty?"

The Wolf King's eyes glinted, unreadable behind the cloak. "Then... we retrieve what is mine."

He disappeared deeper into the forest, a dark phantom with eyes like gold, leaving the guard to follow, heart pounding. The night was far from over, and the hunt had only just begun.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
