Joyce, a working class psychotherapist is torn to shreds when her best friend Brenda passes, weeks after introducing her to her billionaire friend, Harris. Brenda had feelings for Harris, although she showed him how much she felt for him, he wasn't seeing her. Harris falls in love with Joyce from the first day he sets his eyes on her. He starts sending her gifts secretly, which she questions. Brenda finds out about what transpired between Harris and Joyce on the night they were out. Brenda is heartbroken and decides to take her own life. She sent a message to her twin, whom most persons don't know, telling her everything. Brenda passes on, her death crumbles Joyce's world. Still at the hospital, Joyce is confronted by Brenda's twin, Bernice. She almost kills Joyce before the timely intervention of Harris, who had come to the hospital upon hearing news of Brenda's death. A fight ensues for the gun, in the process, Bernice stabs Harris with the pen knife she has in the other hand. Joyce is trying to let Bernice know she wasn't responsible for Brenda's death, but she doesn't hear of it. Joyce faces a series of tragic events down the line. Standing in the maze she had found herself in, she must make concrete decisions, she must navigate her safety and justice, as much is at stake if she doesn't.
