THE SASSY REWANI is a novel about a pretty and endowed lady named Rewani, who was raised a destitute in the slums of Lagos, Nigeria by Yemisi - Her single mother. Rewani's Dad died when she was still a child and life became tough for both of them. Yemisi did all manner of jobs to ensure that her daughter got the best education. When Rewani was a Year 1 student in medical school, an old-aged Yemisi was diagnosed of glaucoma and pronounced blind, because of its late detection. With that misfortune, Rewani had to drop out of medical school because the school bills couldn't be afforded any longer, and also to cater for her blind mom. For years, Rewani had pestered her mother to remarry so she could have a sibling as she was the only child, but Yemisi blatantly refuted. Finally, she opened up to her daughter about an abortion of hers that happened many years ago after being gang raped on the way back from work. The trauma associated with that tragic event reinforced her decision never to re-marry. After over three months of intense job searching, Rewani got a meagre paying job at Alfredo Mart as a sales attendant. They still lived in penury as the paltry pay gotten there was insufficient. At the workplace, she was the cynosure of all eyes and out of jealousy, Kate Williams - A colleague, set her up in the office and she was made redundant. Navigating through the numerous ordeals life presented, she accidentally met a Multi billionaire on the way back from Abuja, Nigeria after visiting a bosom friend in Hamzat. Macauley, the narcissistic Real Estate Multi Billionaire Mogul loved and admired Rewani. Though he was very handsome, well-built, and generally her type of man, she initially refused all his advances because of his arrogant and cocky demeanour. After numerous acts of benevolence, and spending much more time with him, she genuinely fell in love with him and compromised her morality just for his sake. Rewani was a firm believer of not engaging in pre-marital sex, but willingly allowed Macaulay to deflower her, as his good looking body and face was very irresistible. Subsequently, Rewani went back to Medical School all thanks to a fully funded scholarship granted by him. In Medical school, she was caught in a love triangle. Lee Chan was the most good looking man in her class and all the ladies gravitated towards him. Jodeci took it a notch higher and was obsessed with him. However, he only had his eyes on Rewani. Initially, Rewani only loved him for his intelligence, but after Macaulay went on a long business trip abroad, she fell in love with Lee Chan as he filled that void perfectly. Both girls were constantly in an altercation because of him. At a point, Jodeci was expelled for being physically abusive towards Rewani in one of their numerous altercations they had. Rewani's final year in medical school coincided with Macauley's return, and both he and Lee Chan proposed marriage to her. It was a difficult choice to make, but she chose Macaulay because he was her first love and more stable financially. They eventually got married and because she finished top of the class, a fully funded vacation to the U.S.A was offered. Macaulay was against the trip because of his skeletons in his cupboard, and all his plans to disrupt the trip proved abortive. Getting there, she discovered that Macaulay lied about being single, as he had an abadoned family. Coincidentally, Beverly Jones - The owner of Pinnacle SPA she regularly visited, was the baby mama of his two kids. Their relationship was very cordial and when Rewani explained her side of the story, she believed instantly. Being hurt my Macaulay lies, Rewani travelled to the Singapore and cut of ties with him totally. He didn't want to lose Rewani so he went to the U.S.A to plead for Beverly' forgiveness and accepted full responsibility. Eventually, Beverly forgave him and they became cool. Finding Rewani to break the good news was an arduous task. None one knew her whereabouts. Remembering she had a bosom friend in Hamzat, he tried reaching out to her, but to no avail. Macaulay knew she still domiciled in Nigeria, so he involved The Police in the search. Finally Hamzat location was found and Macaulay visited. Initially, she denied knowing Rewani's Whereabouts. After seeing how sorry and repentant he was, she alerted Rewani to plead on his behalf. Before Rewani could forgive him, she called Beverly Jones to confirm if he had accepted full responsibility. After getting a positive feedback from Beverly, she asked Hamzat to divulge her whereabouts. Macaulay swift went to Singapore and apologized for hoarding such a vital information away from her. Rewani wholeheartedly forgave him and showed him his twins she had birthed, when they were incommunicado. They all re-connected, became inseparable once again and lived happily ever after.
