Love's Betrayal, Revenge's Spark

Love's Betrayal, Revenge's Spark

I was supposed to be happy. Three years of marriage, a baby due in a month, and a husband everyone said adored me. Liam was my childhood friend, my rock, my supposed happy ending. But that illusion shattered in a hospital parking lot when I overheard Liam confess to orchestrating my mother's car accident-a murder meant to secure her heart for my dying stepsister, Chloe. He then married me to keep me out of the way, a tool in his twisted obsession. The truth was a physical blow. My mother, murdered. My proposed husband, a silent accomplice at her funeral, was just a performer in a long charade. Liam' s meticulous care for Chloe, his obsession with her "pure" style, all those signs I' d dismissed as overflow of love, screamed at me now. Then Chloe, after feigning pregnancy due to her infertility, deliberately threw herself down the stairs. Liam, convicting me on the spot, burned my hand, permanently crippling me, while my own father watched him. He funded my revenge, transferring his fortune to me as an apology. My heart was ripped apart by their betrayal. I couldn't comprehend how a man I loved could devise such a monstrous plan, making me a mere pawn in his sick game. How could I have been so blind? With unwavering resolve, I decided to fight back. I had my own secret plans, a quiet escape route, and a final, shocking gift for Liam, a macabre reminder of his crimes. He thought he had broken me, but he had only forged a weapon.
Chamber: An Esports Romance

Chamber: An Esports Romance

Clifton, the god of esports, was secretly battling a career-ending wrist injury to protect his team. A year ago, he kissed his duo partner, Justice, only to be met with violent disgust. Justice shoved him away and dry-heaved in the rain, looking at him like a monster. Humiliated by the straight man's raw revulsion, Clifton cut him out of his life. But now, Justice suddenly appeared at Clifton's club as a rookie tryout. Instead of an ambitious climber, Justice played the perfect, pathetic victim. He cowered, trembled, and acted terrified whenever Clifton was near. He even signed a bloodsucking contract with a toxic teammate, sparking rumors he was brought in to replace Clifton as captain. During a scrimmage, Clifton hesitated to shoot because he remembered Justice had just severely burned his hand. Justice showed no mercy. He ruthlessly gunned Clifton down, humiliating the captain in front of the entire coaching staff. Clifton was consumed by blinding rage and betrayal. If Justice was so disgusted by him, why did he fake his devotion for six months just to use him? Why was he acting like helpless prey now, after trampling all over Clifton's pride? Determined to rip off the liar's disguise, Clifton dragged Justice into a live stream in front of sixty thousand viewers. "He's asking if you are in love with me." Clifton smiled cruelly, waiting for the public execution. But just as the trap snapped shut, a choked, terrified gasp came through the headset.

Her Pain, His Ultimate Regret

Her Pain, His Ultimate Regret

My team lead looked at my termination letter, unable to meet my eyes. He said it came from the top, nothing he could do. I was the scapegoat for a supposed error, fired from the company because Chloe Davis, Nathan Hayes' s high school sweetheart and co-founder, was back. Suddenly, I saw Nathan get out of his car, holding the door for Chloe with a tenderness he hadn't shown me in ages. Our eyes met, a flicker of something in his expression before it was gone, and he walked right past me without a word, leaving a sharp pain in my chest. I hailed a cab and went to his penthouse, the place I called home, for now. I cooked his favorite meal, sent him a picture, and waited, but he never replied. Days passed. Nathan didn't contact me. I'd been to the hospital three times, my doctor pressing for treatment options, but I kept them hidden. He finally came home, his tension easing when I told him I just had a cold. He pulled my hand to his face, a familiar, intimate gesture, reminding me how easily I mistook habit for affection. After a night of desperate passion, he whispered, "Ava, you're not mad I fired you, are you?" I wasn't. Three years ago, he paid off my mother's gambling debts, turning me into his "kept woman." I was dutiful, obedient, supportive, asking for nothing. He called me his "beautiful bird in a golden cage," the one who could never leave him. Then, Chloe's best friend, Brenda Smith, confronted me, throwing my desperate texts to Nathan in my face. "You're a pathetic homewrecker," she sneered, slapping me hard across the cheek. I ended up in the hospital with a concussion. Nathan came back, but his main concern was Chloe's reputation. "Ava, Chloe is different from you to me," he said, touching my bruised cheek. "Just be good, okay?" The pain was suffocating. I didn't understand how he could be so cruelly indifferent. I closed my eyes, and a single tear escaped. He didn't wipe it away. Our three years together meant nothing. It was all a ghost compared to his "white knight." "Let's break up, Nathan." His jaw tightened. "Ava, break up? Haven't you forgotten our agreement? Unless one of us dies, I am the one who decides when we part ways." I finally understood. To be free, I had to die for him to let me go.
