Although he himself was too old to engage in active combat, he volunteered the use of his family estate to be used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers, and he helped the war effort by penning an array of stories and essays with pro-British themes. Another Sheaf is the second of two such collections of Galsworthy's wartime work.”
