A flicker of candlelight illuminated the room. Now she could see him. Cold. Dangerous. He rose. Each step he took toward her was slow, deliberate and predatory. Power radiated from him. Her pulse raced, but she did not look away. She would not break. "It seems you still haven't grasped your situation, Princess," He sneered, the title dripping with disdain. His hand settled on her shoulder. She stiffened, his fingers trailing up to her throat. Then tightened, knocking out her breath. She gasped. "You are not a princess here, Sabrina," he said, his grip tightening. "You are in my kingdom. My territory." She clawed at his hand, struggling for air. "You speak when I allow it," He continued coldly. "You breathe because I permit it. And if you defy me..." His eyes darkened, "I will punish you." His voice dropped lower. "I own you now, Sabrina. My hostage. My property." He leaned closer. "And there is no escape." He released her. She staggered slightly, clutching her burning throat. Her wound had reopened, blood seeping through. Still, she held his gaze. Defiant and filled with hate. He hates her. She can see and feel it. And she hates him just the same. He is a monster and a destroyer. "If you wish to live longer than I intend," he said, eyes burning with loathe. "Behave." "Cole.", He called, his voice a levelled rumble. The door opened immediately. A man stepped in, bowing. "Yes, my king." "Take her back. She is not to leave her room unless I say so." He held her gaze as he spoke. "Yes, my king." "And inform Indiana I sent for her." He turned away. "Follow me," Cole said. Sabrina obeyed. The moment she stepped outside, she released a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. King Damon... He is dangerous. He hadn't even begun to unleash the full extent of his rage. But she had seen enough. His hate is so raw and deep. He would destroy everything in his path to get his revenge on her. And now, she had to survive him. Survival. She has no idea how to do that BLURB. He took her kingdom. He took her freedom. Now, he wants her broken. Sabrina was born and raised a princess but was forced into captivity by the man her father destroyed. Now she must endure his cold cruelty, his rules, and his unrelenting hatred. To survive she has to play the game of vengeance.and power. But in a game of vengeance and power, the heart is the most dangerous thing to lose.

The Return Of The Alpha king Chapter 1 PROLOGUE & EXCERPT.

PROLOGUE

Once upon a time, he was a prince.

Once upon a time, he lived a life of luxury–surrounded by servants who tended to his every need, respected by all, feared by many.

Until the day the evil King of Badrith attacked his kingdom unexpectedly, killed his family, and took away his home.

Ten-year-old Prince Damon was taken hostage, tortured, and humiliated by King Judrith for two years before he escaped, faking his death.

Twenty years later, he returned-seeking vengeance and to reclaim all he had lost.

EXCERPT

Flaming arrows flew across the air. The clash of swords rang loudly. Screams and cries filled the atmosphere. Houses burned, bodies dropped lifelessly, and thick smoke blurred everything in sight.

Everywhere was chaos.

The palace was not spared. The enemy kingdom had successfully invaded it.

Damon ran out of his hiding place toward his father's nearly lifeless body.

He had witnessed King Judrith kill him.

"Father!" he cried, grabbing his hand.

Weakly, the king clasped his son's hand in his bloodied one. His eyes fluttered, clouded with tears.

"D–Damon..." he stuttered.

"Father, please, stand up. We have to save Mama and Eleanor. Stand up!" he cried, tugging at him.

"Y–You must... survive. You h–have to survive... no matter what," he forced out.

"Father, please don't die," the boy sobbed helplessly.

"Go. Go now. G–go far away... from here... and survive. Go," he ordered, pulling his hand away forcefully.

His eyes slowly shut. His breathing faded.

"Go, Damon... and survive."

His breath stilled.

"Father... please... stand up..." Damon cried, his voice breaking in agony.

The agony of losing everything-his home, his title, his family.

Footsteps approached.

Damon shot up and hid. When the soldiers passed, he ran.

He ran as fast as his young legs could carry him-into the darkness of the night.

The night that took everything from him.

CHAPTER ONE

TWENTY YEARS LATER

A light knock sounded at the door.

His gaze flickered toward it.

Another knock came-this time rough and urgent.

"Who is there?" he demanded, his voice stern.

Suddenly, the door burst open.

He stiffened.

No one entered.

The door remained ajar.

"What do you think you are doing?" he demanded, stepping closer.

"Reveal yourself this moment!"

Silence.

He moved to shut the door-

A hand shot out, gripping his neck.

He gasped as the force knocked him backward.

"Who are you?" he struggled out, clawing at the hand.

The man wore black. His face hidden.

An assassin.

"Who sent you?" he coughed, breathless.

"You evil man," the masked figure spat, releasing him.

Judrith dropped, coughing violently.

"Who are you?" he rasped.

A scoff.

"Someone who would love to see you dead."

"You dare! I am King Judrith of Badrith! I'll have you killed for treason!" he boomed, masking his fear.

A soft chuckle.

The assassin stepped closer.

Judrith stepped back instinctively.

"Like how you destroyed a whole family overnight?" the man said coldly.

"You are not human, Judrith."

"What do you mean? What do you know? Get out of here!" he shouted.

The assassin slowly unsheathed a dagger. Its blade gleamed in the dim light.

Judrith's stomach dropped.

"What do you want?" he stammered.

"Tell me-I will give you anything!"

The man said nothing.

He advanced.

The dagger raised.

Ready to strike.

"My king-" a voice called.

Judrith's eyes snapped to the door.

A guard.

Luke.

"What's going on-? Assassin!" Luke shouted, raising an alarm flute.

Without hesitation, the assassin leapt through the window and vanished.

"Are you alright, my king?" Luke rushed to him.

"Go after him. Now!" Judrith barked.

"Yes, my king!" Luke ran, sounding the alarm.

Judrith remained on the floor, shaken.

Who would dare attempt to kill him?

The thought unsettled him.

Who would dare?

_____

He ran into the dark forest, breath heavy.

He had escaped.

"Your Highness."

He didn't turn.

"Are you alright?"

He gave a curt nod, his expression cold.

"It's time, Cole," he said.

"We take back our home tomorrow."

His eyes burned with rage.

"Tomorrow... we seize Judrith."

He turned, walking deeper into the darkness, his presence heavy with darkness.

Cole nodded.

That was all he needed.

Tomorrow-

The beginning of the end.

Forsaken by the Pack, Mated to the Secret Lycan King

For two years, I was Alpha Jase Davenport's loyal assistant and secret bed-warmer. Because I was a wolfless Omega, I trusted his empty promises instead of instincts I didn't possess. Then, a push notification from a notorious gossip blog shattered my world. Jase was pictured in Paris, his hand intimately resting on the waist of my cruel stepsister, Kira. The headline screamed that he was finally claiming his fated Luna. Before I could even process the betrayal, Jase texted me a cold command to update his schedule, treating me like a soulless employee. Immediately after, my mother called to gloat. "Did you honestly believe an Alpha like Jase would settle for a defective creature like you?" She threatened to freeze my late father's Pack trust fund unless I agreed to marry an abusive, elderly Alpha to be his breeding mare. If I refused, I would be cast out as a penniless stray, easy prey for any Rogue. I was nothing but a convenient placeholder to Jase, and a piece of livestock to my own family. They thought they had me completely cornered, ready to steal my inheritance and leave me to die. But as the panic subsided, a cold clarity took its place. My father's will only required a legal mating bond to unlock my millions; it never said my family had to approve of the groom. I wiped my tears, opened my laptop, and searched for a disgraced, debt-ridden Rogue named Babe Vincent. If I needed a husband on paper to secure my freedom, I was going to buy one.

As I lay on the floor of our manor, bleeding out from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I used my last ounce of strength to call my husband, Cole. I begged him for help, my vision blurring. But the only thing I heard was the clinking of champagne glasses and his mistress's giggle in the background. "Stop the drama, June," Cole snapped, his voice cold. "We're about to go on stage. Don't call again." He hung up, leaving me to die alone on the Persian rug while he accepted an award with another woman on his arm. I woke up in the hospital days later. My baby was gone. They had removed my fallopian tube. Cole finally arrived, smelling of expensive scotch and his mistress's perfume. He didn't hug me. He didn't cry. Instead, he leaned over my hospital bed, pressing his knee into the mattress until my fresh stitches tore open and bled. "You embarrassed me by calling an ambulance," he hissed. "My mistress, Alycia, says you're faking it. Clean yourself up." He left me bleeding again to go announce a $10 million donation to Alycia's "groundbreaking" medical research. I stared at the TV screen, numb. The research Alycia was taking credit for? It was mine. I wrote that patent years ago under a pseudonym. They thought I was just a poor, orphan housewife who needed Cole's money to survive. They had no idea I was actually a billionaire scientist hiding my identity. I pulled the IV needle out of my arm. A drop of blood fell onto the divorce papers I had been hiding. I didn't wipe it off. I signed my name right over it. Then I walked into the bank, reactivated my dormant account with $128 million, and bought the penthouse directly overlooking Cole's house. The mourning widow is dead. The avenger is born.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.
