There was an incident that befell black moon back nine years ago, no one knew how it happened except the Alpha Prince Wren but then this incident took him out. Turned him to a vegetative person and had everyone forgetting about him and this incident. Alpha Prince Wren had a lover back then, her name was Reuben; he loved her very much and promised to reject his mate if she wasn't the one. After Alpha Prince Wren got into coma, Reuben left the pack; her mother convincing her that she couldn't wait on a vegetative person and they needed a fresh start. This was where the story began.

My entire body burned like an inferno and I couldn't stop it. I wanted it to stop. I wanted them to stop but they wouldn't. These people wore white shirts, their faces were unseen almost like they didn't have any faces. I could feel them draw something from me and talk inaudibly about something. What was it? Blood? I couldn't tell. However, I wanted it to stop. Suddenly, everything felt blurry and I heard them sigh loudly before... "Candy, get up, you're accompanying your dad to work today." Mom uttered loudly before going to open my curtain. The sun seeped in. "Ahhhh!" I screamed as the sun landed on my skin, sitting up. My eyes flung open, I saw my mom smirking at me while walking out my room. "Pancakes and coffee are ready, go take your bath. You're going to work with your dad!" She shut the door behind her after talking. I rolled my eyes at the door knowing damn well I couldn't roll my eyes in her presence. She would have my head dangling down my neck. Standing up, I walked into the bathroom and then stopped in front of the large mirror in the center of the room. There was a drawer at the topside of the mirror where I kept my toothpaste and brush. Brushing my teeth, I stared at myself, noticing the red veins in my white socket. It wasn't the first time I have seen something like that in my eyes. The side of my stomach was aching me, I raised my top and checked what it was. It was the same red marks I always notice at the side of my belly whenever I have horrible dreams. It was bigger this time as though I was stabbed by a syringe. Mom said it could be the insects but I noticed anytime I have horrible dreams, I see these marks. However, I'm a wolf, nothing bad can happen to me and the marks were beginning to cover up. I was excited for the day, it was that time of the week, dad was taking me to work. My dad was the pack doctor and he wants me to take over from him after I was done with high school. Done bathing, I put on some jeans and a round neck top before wearing blue colored sneakers which matched my top. My short hair stopped right by my cheeks; having a long face made my short hair fit me well. Strange I have a short hair while mom has long hair that touches her waist, even my brothers have to shave every four days as a result of fast growth. Werewolves are known for having long hair but mine was different, took me years to grow my hair out like this. However, I love my short hair, they suit me well. Picking my bag, I skid out my door, knowing Collins would have had a can of butter at the top edge of my room door. I skid out within seconds, just in time to dodge the can that fell right on the floor, ruining the marble floor mom and dad had to save up for. "Shit!" I heard someone curse behind me. It was Collins, my younger brother. He was the last of us, devious and naughty. "You can't catch me this time!" I stuck my tongue out to him before smiling. Then I looked at the can that had fallen, it was filled with pudding instead of butter this time. Yuck! Good thing I practiced escaping this thing severally. Last week he got me, a big bowl of butter fell on my hair which I had just dyed the tips to blue. I cried that day and mom had to pay for another session of make over. Collins wasn't punished because he was the last born. Last born privileges exists! Ever since, I practiced escaping his pranks and today, it paid off. "Mom.... Dad... Collins just ruined your really expensive marble floor with pudding!" I snickered after talking, Collins eyes looked like they were going to come out of his socket. He knows how much mom and dad loves the marble floor they saved up to get. It was the kind only the Alpha family can afford. Ha ha! I laughed when I heard dad fuming from his room, coming out in a white shirt and black jean trousers; looking fit and handsome. "Collins!!" Dad grunted. "Someone's in trouble." I heard my older brother, Adrian speak coming out of his room yawning. I snickered and walked down the stairs leaving dad and collins. Last time he escaped mom and dad because all of the butter fell in my room, this time, it fell on the marble floor in the passage. "Did you have to rant your brother out?" Mom asked as I walked into the kitchen. I went to the dining in the middle of the room which already had our food on it. I chose the smallest portion. I really hate food except red meat. Dad had to stop buying them because I finish them in one day. "Its pay back mom, pay back!" I told her, eating my food. After I was done, I picked my milk and drank as little as I could before putting my plate in the sink. Just then, dad walked into the kitchen. "Darling, let's go." Dad uttered, going to mom to kiss her face. However, It ended in romance. "Gosh, guys I'm only seventeen!" I screamed, covering my eyes as they ate each other's mouth. "But you can crush on a twenty four years old vegetative man." My brother uttered, coming in the kitchen. Adrian loves to tease me, tackle me and bring me down with words. I hate boys except Alpha Wren. Technically he is a man. "You are what?" Dad turned, holding mom by the waist. She also looked at me with shock. "Isn't it obvious?" I asked with raised brows. Alpha prince Wren had been in coma since I was ten and I fell in love with him on first sight. "You are not really crushing on the Alpha Prince, are you?" Mom asked looking at me with shocked expression. I glared at Adrian who was smirking over his pancakes. "At least, I'm not sleeping with Taylor, the whore!" I smirked at Adrian who now glared at me. He had begged me not to spill but then, don't do to others what you don't want to be done to you. Mom and dad looked at him at the same time. Laughing my ass out, the couples don't even know anything about their children. "What?!" Dad glared at his first son who was a splitting image of him.
