Her mom's medical bills are piling up and she's out of options, so when a high paying executive assistant job pops up at Apex Motors, she doesn't overthink it, she just applies. Big paycheck, that's literally all she's thinking about. What she doesn't know? The entire executive floor is run by werewolves. Not a metaphor, actual wolves in actual suits, led by a CEO named Valen Cross who is giving off zero human warmth and a whole lot of alpha energy. When a key position opens up right before their billion dollar EV launch, Valen hires Maya anyway, pack be damned, because she's sharp and she knows supply chains better than half his board. " You are hired" those three words pierced into my ears, and I processed it in thirty hours all in three seconds.....
'uhm.. Thank you' I muttered before leaving the boardroom, still shocked out of excitement... i just couldn't process the fact that i am an employee of the Apex Motors, not just an employee, a member of the executive board
A DAY BEFORE
"Winster Automations and Airline just withdrew their partnership with us putting our new contract with them at stake, I tried nego...." Sienna said while getting interrupted by Valen's voice
"Hello Mr Barry, I got some information now from my Personal assistant on your temporary withdrawal... i would like you to know the intent behind this and possible solutions"
"Due to the higher ratio of demand, we need a specialist that is proficient in supply chain and knows how to work, I would not say your company is not providing that but my company needs more than you are providing at the moment"
"I will look into that and get a good specialist" Valen replied expressionless
"Alright, I will give you a 3-day grace to find a solution before the final resort from the board"
Beep beep beep(the call ends)
Sienna, I need you to post a vacancy on the marketplace right away and get me a good fit for this job, schedule the interview for 8AM tomorrow.
Consider that done, Valen.... Sienna responded while moving out of the door

After getting back from her part time job at the restaurant close by
"Hey mom" she greeted her mother
"Maya just go in, freshen up and come get this food, I really put a lot of effort into this, don't tell me you are not hungry" her mama said
"Cool cool, a lil sec"
She came out of her room to the kitchen with her towel wrapped around her body
"At least, you put on something Maya..."

She picked her food and went to the dining to sit while her mom also followed her behind....
I went to the doctor today... Her mama said
What did he say? Maya replied curious
I must do the surgery urgently as the medications can only do less effects
Maya looked up from her food and said .... Don't worry mom, I will get a good job soon and all of this will be over with...
I hope so my daughter she responded
After a couple minutes of silence, Maya's mother said she wants to go inside her room to sleep....
As usual, Maya started scrolling the marketplace and there she found a vacancy from Apex Motors, a perfect fit for her, just like many perfect fits she applied and moved on, looking for another job... Then just in a few minutes an email notification pops.... YOU HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW TOMORROW 8AM... She couldn't believe her eyes...
Next Morning
BEEP BEEP
Maya's alarm sounded with a red graphic showing 6:45.... She rolled to the side of the bed to turn it off and rolled back to sleep, immediately she stood up just like her head just started to function as she remembered... She has an interview by 8AM, she hurriedly rushes to the bathroom... Took a quick bath and wore beige-coloured pants with a white shirt giving a minimalist look in her outfit... She accessorized lightly, not too much.
She looked at her time and it was 7:30 already, she moved to the kitchen where she met her mom, while also ordering an uber on her phone.....
It was a 20-min ride to get to Apex Motors
At Apex Motors
It was 7:55AM exactly when Maya entered into the building, walking elegantly towards the reception, the receptionist with the tag Ms. Glitt
"Good morning, Ms Glitt, I'm here for the interview" Maya said to her
"Welcome, take the elevator and stop at the fifth floor, the room is directly by the elevator, I'm sure you will get attended to when you get there"
"Thank you ma'am" Maya responded
She entered the elevator at the same time with a man dressed in a fitted suit and well-ironed black pants, the elevator went up, so was the tension too, they both dropped at the fifth floor, heading to the same room.
Maya
"What the actual f**k is this, let me just hope this man is not part of the boardroom members, even if he is so?, was I supposed to greet him or w....." Her thought was interrupted by a lady voice
"You must be Maya Rivers"
"Yes, I am"
"You can come in"
Maya entered into the boardroom, admiring the whole view, the team of the board members while Valen turned his chair around
"Check your time, Is this your 8AM?" Valen said
"I was...i di.....d" Maya stuttered while trying to put her words together also realizing the man from the elevator might the manager or even the CEO
Maya mind dropped instantly, thinking about her fate
"I don't think you are a good fit for this job, you are free to leave now"
