Caddie's gaze moved from Caleb's sneer to Kiersten's smirk, then to Julien's smug mask. She spoke, her voice cold and level.

"So you're going to marry her next month and get rid of me?"

Julien's face flickered, then he forced a laugh. "Caddie, you misheard. We were just talking business-"

"What have I been to you these three years?"

"Did you ever love me?"
