The venue was teeming with the crème de la crème of society, individuals adorned in shimmering gowns and expensive suits. The women, with their chins held high, paraded in exquisite dresses, each embellished with rare gemstones, jewelry crafted from the finest stones. They reveled in showcasing their affluence. Meanwhile, the gentlemen, engaged in conversations about business, boasted about their achievements, recounting tales of building empires upon empires.
From filthy rich businessmen to powerful politicians and renowned celebrities, they all gathered to witness the engagement of the formidable and one of the most sought-after bachelors in town, Fabian Luigi Romano, to the sole heiress of a multi-billion dollar company, Elvira McIntosh.
Every guest present was a person of significance, each clad in the most expensive attire and jewels, a testament to their belonging to the upper echelons of society. Their demeanor and attire spoke volumes.
They greeted and smiled at each other, but deep down, their minds were busy evaluating every individual present, comparing their dresses and jewelry. They scrutinized who wore the most expensive attire and the largest diamonds in their jewelry.
Fabian stood silently in a corner, hidden from the view of his guests. He observed the attendees of his engagement party with a detached air.
He held a glass of wine in one hand, while the other clutched a smoldering cigar. He took a sip, his gaze never leaving the guests. He knew almost all of them: colleagues, business associates, and friends from the highest stratum of society, the society he belonged to, a society that revolved around money and power.
"Sir, the party is about to start in 10 minutes," his secretary informed him. He had been following Fabian discreetly.
"Okay," Fabian replied listlessly. This engagement was purely a business transaction. Business with pleasure. He smirked, recalling what he and Vira had done a few hours ago in his condo. That woman was wild and experienced in bed. Not bad to be his future wife, at least he could enjoy her body while simultaneously acquiring the resources of their business. Well, he could also enjoy Vira's firm and rounded mounds.
He finished the remaining wine in his glass and nonchalantly handed it to his secretary, who stood silently by his side, like an obedient dog awaiting his master's command.
"Ms. McIntosh has arrived with her father, Mr. Romano, and she was looking for you," Markus informed him.
He nodded and puffed on the cigar twice.
"Let's go," he said, heading towards the crowd, where everyone was enjoying themselves. He was greeted by each person he passed. They congratulated him on his engagement, while others complimented his appearance.
He spotted his mother, Susana, smiling as she chatted with the guests. Her face radiated joy and happiness that her only son was finally getting married. Of all the people at this party, only his mother had a genuine smile plastered on her beautiful face. For Fabian, his mother was the only person he could trust with everything he had. She was the only one who believed in him when he had nothing to prove.
His mother beamed as he approached her. She looked regal and elegant in her peach floor-length dress, adorned with beads and crystals. Her pixie-cut hair was uncolored, revealing streaks of gray hair that added to her elegant and regal aura. A magnificent 4.82-carat blue sapphire surrounded by accompanying diamonds was the only jewelry that adorned her neck.
He smirked at the sight. He bet his mother was bombarded with questions about the elegant jewelry that made her look like a queen. He had given it to her as a birthday present for her 70th birthday.
"Hijo, Vira's been looking for you, where have you been? The party's about to start," Susana Castro cast a stern look at her son. She disapproved of his nonchalant attitude towards his fiancée. Fabian just shrugged his shoulders.
"I know, Ma," Fabian leaned down to kiss his mother, Susana. "You should be with her now. They'll be calling you both to the stage anytime now." There was a hint of disapproval in his mother's voice, but her expression remained soft and considerate. This was what he loved about his mother, she had a warm heart that was always evident. She was incredibly kind.
He looked around and spotted the woman he was looking for, Elvira McIntosh. She was wearing a red bodycon dress with a plunging neckline, revealing a generous amount of a very gorgeous pair of cleavage. She was a hot woman, any man would be lucky to have her in his bed. She looked slutty but classy, his kind of woman. He examined her appearance, she looked stunning in that dress.
He approached her, and surprise registered on her beautiful face when she saw him. But it was quickly replaced by an alluring gaze. A true seductress.
"Fabian!" she greeted him cheerfully. She should be happy, he had let her come to his condo so many times just this morning. He hadn't stopped until she was writhing in pleasure.
"Fabian, glad you're here now," said Arnold McIntosh, the founder and CEO of McIntosh Realty, his soon-to-be father-in-law.
