Part 1

The morning after the class reunion, before I even opened my eyes, I felt a hairy leg next to me. Out of curiosity, I couldn't help but rub it for a while. The next second, bang!

The door swung open, and a group of people rushed in.

Startled, I quickly pulled back my hand and clutched the quilt tightly.

"Dr. Clayton, the director is calling you..."

The men who entered seemed shocked, exclaiming in surprise.

Who was Dr. Clayton?

Following their gaze, I glanced over and saw a man lying beside me.

His legs were long and straight, covered in a forest of hair filled with masculinity. As I looked up...

I was taken aback.

"We...

we didn't mean to..."

The group quickly closed their eyes and tried to explain.

I didn't know these people, nor the man lying there. Just as I was at a loss—

The person next to me pulled the quilt, opened his eyes slightly, glanced at me, and hoarsely said, "Can you share the quilt with me?"

It took me a second to digest his words, and then I let go of the quilt in a flash.

The quilt barely covered the private part, and he closed his eyes again, lazily saying, "Aren't you leaving?"

Wow...

He startled me, and just as I was about to get out of bed, he sighed and said, "I wasn't talking to you."

Hearing that, the group of men finally stopped gawking, suddenly said, "The director is urging you to the meeting, hurry up," and then scrambled out of the room.

The room suddenly went quiet.

I sat there, clutching the corner of the quilt, trembling.

Part 2

"What's there to be afraid of?" he asked, seemingly wide awake from my shaking, and opened his eyes to glance at me before closing them again.

"I...

I think...

I'm in pain," I stammered, overwhelmed by shock, and immediately regretted my words.

This time, he opened his eyes and didn't close them again. He looked at me for a few seconds, rubbed his temples, then reached out and awkwardly wrapped an arm around my waist, "The first sex is like this, you will get better soon."

He was probably trying to comfort me.

But instead of feeling comforted, I felt a chill run down my spine.

Then I looked down and saw a small stain of blood on the bed sheet...

My mind went blank.

He noticed the bloodstain too, paused for a moment, then ruffled my hair with a chuckle, "Sorry, I lost control last night."

I felt a chill run down my spine again.

"Who are you?"

I asked in confusion, feeling upset.

He suddenly was amused at my question, "You don't even know who I am, yet you came and slept with me?"

I'd never experienced anything like this before, and goose bumps covered my skin, "This won't make me pregnant, right?"

Well, I had to admire myself for asking the crucial question amidst all the confusion.

He opened his eyes and glanced at me again, looking utterly exhausted. I felt like if I touched him lightly, he'd directly pass out.

How violent had I been last night to leave him in such a state? I was mortified.

"No, it won't," he summarized simply.

I had no experience of the sex and couldn't recall the specifics of what had happened last night, so I didn't dare ask more.

He said I wouldn't get pregnant, and I believed him, especially since they called him Dr. Clayton.

Maybe he had taken precautions?

That was all I could think to comfort myself.

"Then, goodbye?"

I chose to escape to avoid the awkwardness after we both fully woke up. He glanced at me again and laughed, "Alright."

Part 3

I thought I would never see him again.

Yet two weeks later, I sat trembling outside his office, holding a pregnancy test stick.

"Hey!"

A male doctor bounced over to me.

I was so startled I almost fainted.

"Are you waiting for Dr. Clayton?"

He asked with a familiarity that seemed out of place, considering we'd only met briefly that morning at the hotel.

What had happened that morning left me utterly embarrassed.

Two weeks ago, I attended a reunion between old high school friends, drank too much, and entered the wrong room.

Later, I found out that Dr. Clayton and a group of doctors were having a conference at that hotel. Coincidentally, Dr. Clayton's room was next to mine, and he was sick.

His colleague who took care of him forgot to close the door when they left, and I just broke in...

Then his colleagues came to call him for the meeting the next morning...

And that was how that scene had unfolded.

"Uh, yes," I replied evasively, my face flushing.

"Come wait inside," he said, pulling me into the lounge without hesitation.

As we passed Dr. Clayton, he glanced at me as if he didn't recognize me.

Honestly, I barely recognized him either, because I had never seen him so well-dressed after getting out of bed.

I waited anxiously for two hours, and only through the nameplate on his desk did I learn his name was Brody Clayton, a cardiologist.

I silently calculated the age gap between us.

After a while, Brody finally came in to change clothes. He gave me a suspicious look, "Are you waiting for Carson?"

I was stunned.

"Dr. Clayton, I'm waiting for you."

I stood up, clutching my bag, my voice barely a whisper.

"Who are you?"

I was stunned again.

Did he really not recognize me after having sex with me?

"Two weeks ago, at the hotel, we..."

I forced myself to explain, feeling less confident as I spoke, until I finally took out the pregnancy test stick and carefully handed it to him, "I think I might be pregnant..."

"Dr. Clayton, it's lunchtime," a female doctor suddenly came in.

Startled, I tried to hide the pregnancy test stick, only to accidentally drop it into the trash can beside the desk.

I glanced at the trash can, worried he hadn't seen it clearly, and debated whether to pick it up.

Brody said nothing, just kept staring at me with an amused expression.

"She's your patient?"

The female doctor showed no intention of leaving, turning to look at me.

I opened and shut my mouth, unspeaking and feeling awkward.

"I have something to deal with and won't eat with you," he said, not introducing me to her.

I felt like I was a thief.

The female doctor left reluctantly, deliberately tugging at his sleeve as if to announce their relationship.

He had a girlfriend, which came as a bolt from the blue.

Part 4

He, however, acted as if nothing had happened, sitting back down to write the medical record, then half-jokingly said, "Feeling better?"

Wow, his words made my heart race.

"Not bad," I replied casually.

He glanced at me lightly and smiled again.

"Want me to take responsibility of it?"

I admired his composure, still calmly writing the medical record as if I were just there to see the doctor.

"I just don't know what to do," I admitted, not expecting him to take responsibility, just feeling twitchy about the situation and asking for his opinion. I tentatively asked, "Should I...

abort it?"

On the surface, I kept calm, but my palms were sweaty.

He continued writing, as if listening to something unrelated to him.

He was infuriatingly calm.

"Up to you," he suddenly looked up, his gaze steady and emotionless.

"If you decide not to give birth to it, then just abort it."

"Okay."

Could I give birth to it?

Given the situation...

"Scared?"

His tone had a hint of teasing.

"Yes."

I was at a loss for words.

"Only now do you know to be scared..."

He gave me a meaningful look, turned a new page in the medical record book, and smiled, "You aren't as bold you were that night."

He suddenly stopped writing, raised an eyebrow at me, and a hint of a smile appeared on his otherwise serious face, "I had a high fever that night. Do you think I had the strength to resist you?"
