THE LAST WHITE WOLF A WAYAN

In the world of supernaturals where wolves are shifters, merfolks can trade their tails for legs at anytime, Vampires are lurking around humans who betrayed them during their time of existence as humans just to suck their life out of them, where pixies are the most cunning, deceitful and selfish creatures and Elves are very rare and they now possess great powers to help every creature at their doorstep,be it good or bad. And where Necromancers are everywhere, conniving with the dead to create havoc.

And the keeper of the underworld, The King Of The Underworld, King Lucifer doesn't like it one bit. He doesn't like the fact that Necromancers are snatching the dead from his grip. Even the witches and wizards fear these Necromancers. And humans, like always , have no idea of the darkness lurking around them.

She could see herself running. What she was running from she had no idea. But if she knew something, It was that the situation was definitely out of her control. She also knew it was a dream. One of those visions she always had. This particular dream she has been seeing a lot. She lost count at the seventh time. But it wasn't always the same ending but whenever she woke up,she woke up with a headache and abnormal body pains. It was as if she was really running from something. She couldn't understand this dream. It always started with her running but then at the end she'd either trip and fall, making the thing caught up with her. Or she herself would stop in her tracks and attack whatever she was running from but at the end she'd realize that she actually murdered her mate. The dream could change totally. She wouldn't run but would be in a dark suffocating cell begging to be let out. This time around she knew she was just going to kill her mate all over again. But was she wrong?, Yes she was. Suddenly everything got quiet. Her feet stopped moving and she realized she wasn't been followed no more. She sniffed the air and something snapped in her. She wanted to taste blood. Her body shook. What was the cause of the sudden change in her.

"Mother?", the scared voice of a little girl spoke. "Mother are you going to kill me too?", The girl asked.

The girl was right. The mother really wanted to kill her cub, she felt the edge and wanted to stop herself. The mother's hand flew to her belly and she realized it was flat. Then it dawned on her that the little girl was the daughter she had given birth to. But the pull was greater than her. Even if she was the Alpha Queen and couldn't kill no one. Her fangs throbbed. She wanted to sink it into something. She could finally feel Vampires edge to kill. She felt inhumane,she couldn't feel any emotion as she sinked her fangs into her own cub's neck. The girl's screams filled her mind as she woke up from her dream. She held her head in her hands as she sat up. Her mate was suddenly at her side checking her for any injuries. He heard her screams. " I'm fine Blake", she assured him. "Those dreams again?", Her mate had asked. He was a man of few words. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever imagine herself as The Queen Luna. " Want to tell me about it ?", Blake asked.

She cringed at that. It was quite disturbing telling him about killing him but now the dream had changed. Blake took his mates hands in his and brought it to his lips. " You know I'd never judge you Eleanor ", he said and gave her a small smile. For everyone else it could be just a small smile but for Eleanor, Blake's smiles could make her heart do flips. His gestures just made her fall in love all over again.

She blinked away the tears that were threatening to spill . " This one was very different, she started. I didn't kill you, I killed someone else", she ended with a sob.

"That's good right?", Blake had asked. "Even worse, Eleanor replied. I killed our cub", she added.

But Blake didn't even blink an eye, neither did he flinch. He just sat next to her with his poker face. "It's just a dream " , he repeated the same words he said everytime she woke up from these dreams. And just like always she replied with a sad smile " dreams are visions love".  Blake pulled Eleanor into a hug as he took in her scent to calm his wolf down. But he knew very well he needed it too. He was scared too. What was happening to his mate?, It was the very question he asked himself every single day. Now she was almost due to deliver their first cub, soon-to-be Alpha King.  "I'm scared Blake", Eleanor whimpered.  "I'm here with you El", Blake assured his mate. And she smiled at his pet name for her. Her hands flew to her tummy," It was a girl Blake, our very own princess",she whispered. "And I killed her, everything looked so real. I can still hear her screams",she added and cringed.

"Hey,hey, look at me", Blake said as he held her head in his hands.

" You're killing no one. It's just a dream and I don't know why you're seeing this, Blake said quietly. We're going to see your grandma tomorrow", he added.

Eleanor gasped as she took his hands from her face.

"No",she yelled. " I know what happens to you after seeing a witch,it's always like you got sick suddenly. Why don't we go see The Pack Priestess", she asked.

"She can't help us", Blake replied. "She says only a witch can explain better. And I'd rather see your grandma than go to some witch", he explained.

"Are you sure?", Eleanor asked.

"For you I'd do anything", he replied and kissed her forehead. "Let's get some sleep,we leave in the morning", Blake said and laid next to her.

They found comfort in each other's arms and sleep took over.

The morning sunlight seeped into the Alpha King's room through the windows. His eyes fluttered open as he sat up. He hadn't had the best sleep of his life but he knew his mate did. Her little snores still filled his ears. They had to see the Ancient Mother, eldest of all the witches and Eleanor's maternal grandmother. But it could wait, it's not every day Eleanor slept this well. Ever since her dreams she didn't want to go to sleep. He got up and rushed to the bathroom to do his morning business. Today he decided to skip his workout sessions. Only the Moon Goddess knew what lied ahead of them.

Hours later Eleanor woke up to meet the other side of the bed empty.

"Guards?", She called. Like always she knew Blake would leave a total of six guards behind their door to take care of her. One guard entered with his head down.

"You called My Queen", he said.

"Ask my hand maid to come in", she told him.

He turned ready to leave.

"Is it Usher?",she asked unsure of his name and he nodded.

"Where's the Alpha?", She asked once again.

"He went to the Pack House My Queen,he said,he'd be back as soon as you wake up",Usher replied.

She nodded and waved her hand, signaling for him to leave. He bowed and left from there. Her previous bodyguard had died from a Vampire bite when he was attacked on human territory. He went there to see his human family. All these bodyguards were new but she was watching them carefully. One of them would be her man. One who'd obey her before he obeyed the King and she thought Usher was just the right person for the job. He was always with a poker face but Eleanor knew he was the best choice and he could be very loyal too. Her mind drifted off to the Vampires. They've been killing more these days. They needed to be stopped. Just then her hand maid walked in.

"Draw a bath for me Ruth", Eleanor said and Ruth simply bowed and left for the bathroom.

She knew just how to please The Queen Luna.

A little bit of her strawberry shower gel,then a little bit of cinnamon and it'd be just right.

Immediately after, she went to the room with her head down. Even if she was The Queen Luna's favorite she dared not look at her in the eye.

"I'm done Your Grace", Ruth said with her head still down.

Eleanor wanted to tell her not to avoid eye contact. Even as Queen she treated Ruth just like a friend. But today she didn't have the strength to have that talk so she simply nodded. Ruth walked to Eleanor and helped her up. Eleanor's hand flew to the little bump on her tummy as she walked to the bathroom.

"I'll be waiting outside Your Grace ",Ruth said and walked out.

"How do you want your hair my lady?"Ruth asked. She had  helped Eleanor get dressed and was helping her with her hair.

"Arrh, I thought we were passed this Ruthlyn. Just do your thing or you want me to get you replaced?", Eleanor teased.  She immediately got on her knees, her face right on Eleanor's feet.

"I'm sorry My Grace, it's all my fault.

I deserve to die but please forgive me. I want to keep serving you", Ruth said in a rush.

"C'mon Ruth,I was just teasing you, I wouldn't actually do that to you. Where am I going to find someone as loyal as you. Someone who cared about me much more than my mother ever did. Someone who would give her life for me. You're like a sister, just like my sister Briada", Eleanor ended with a smile.

She realized Ruth was still kissing her feet so she helped her up.

Ruth started working on Eleanor's hair. She settled for a French braid to make Eleanor look simple.

" I'm done your Grace ", Ruth announced and bowed.

"Thank you Ruth", Eleanor acknowledged and got up.

Just then there was a knock at the door. Ruth leaves to check who's at the door.

She comes back later to tell Eleanor that the King is waiting for them to have lunch. Eleanor quickly wears her flats and walks out of the room.

As soon as she enters the dining hall her eyes met with her dear mate's. He quickly stood up and walked to her. Giving her a helping hand.

"He has always been a gentleman", Eleanor thought as Blake helped her sit next to him. He placed a napkin on her lap. He picked up the spoon and scooped some soup. Before he could bring it up to Eleanor's lips she only looked at him weirdly with a her eyebrows raised as if she was thinking about something.

"Yes Eleanor, I did ask the cook to add a lot of bell peppers to the soup,I know you like the smell, plus no cabbage, you love cabbage but our baby doesn't and she made it extra hot and spicy, just like you want it", Blake replied to Eleanor's unasked question.

"You remember?", Eleanor asked a little surprised.

" I remember everything about you mate, I remember the first day you got to know we were mates, you just run away", Blake teased.

" I was nervous Blake " ,she admitted. "Who wouldn't be after realizing she had been paired up with the scary Alpha King",She added.

"I'm not scary El", Blake said.

Eleanor nodded in agreement then replied "But the books say otherwise. When we're kids and are been thought were-history, we're told The Alpha King is the scariest of all weres, so I was really scared. I would have pissed on myself if I hadn't run away", she ended with a laugh.

"But then I chased you, and showed you that I wasn't scary and what a real mate could make you feel" , said Blake. " And look at us now already having our first pup", he added.

Eleanor only bit her bottom lip and gave a sad smile. Blake knew she was going to talk about her dreams but resisted from it. His mate has always been the shy type. After all these years she was still shy. Eleanor opened her mouth and Blake started to feed her the vegetable soup,he asked the Cook to prepare just for her.

" I can't take in anymore ", Eleanor told Blake after a while.

" Okay , but you must eat the fruits,then we can leave", Blake told Eleanor in a warning voice.

Eleanor swiped her nose up making Blake laugh.

"Stop swiping your nose up like a credit card", He teased and continued laughing making Eleanor laugh too.

He started to feed her with some fresh water melons. Eleanor also put a bite in Blake's mouth.

"You've not eaten anything, you've only been feeding me and I keep eating everything, I feel awful", Eleanor said clearly upset.

" I've eaten already ", Blake told her. "C'mon let's hurry up and leave, the old witch's cottage is quite far from here", he teased.

Eleanor slapped his arm.

"Ouch",he screeched.

"Show some respect to my grand ma,and your grand- mother-in-law", Eleanor rebuked making Blake laugh.

Eleanor ate some more fruits, the baby liked water melons. After, she drank an apple juice. Blake helped her up as they made their way to the car.

Beta Kobe was already waiting by the Car and 6 Pack warriors who were the best in tracking and fighting also accompanied them. They were traveling to the woods so they really had to be careful. Necromancers were everywhere and it is said that they love the woods just like most supernaturals. They've been using pregnant women to revive the dead. They used the souls of the unborn babies to revive dead witches and vampires. No one knew their reason but it is believed that a necromancer would never be seen in clear daylight. That's the time they experiment on their prey. Just thinking about it made Blake's blood boil.

"Are you okay love?", Eleanor asked. She had seen the change in his mood. She took his hand in hers and opened his hand which had been balled into fists.

He gave her a smile and kissed her forehead.

Blake helped her into the car and sat next to her. Beta Kobe also sat next to Blake and the car took off , followed by another car which contained the Pack warriors.  

The ride to The Ancient Mother's cottage took about two and half hours. They walked for a while but couldn't find The Ancient Mother's cottage.

"It's gonna get dark soon,damn it", Blake yelled in frustration.

"Calm down Blake", Eleanor tried to cool him down.

"I can't, he yelled again. Those damn creatures, The Necromancers are gonna come out once it's dark and that'd put you at risk", he said calmly.

Eleanor's face softened. She was about to say something when the Purple Jade pendant around her neck shined a bright purple. Eleanor gasped. Not long after, a purple portal opened up and an older woman, probably in her late forties came out of the portal and it closed. Just then the Jade pendant around Eleanor's neck stopped shining.

Welcome Princess, the woman said and bowed. Eleanor was surprised .Why would a witch bow down to a wolf.

" To answer your question Princess, you're still our princess even without the witch abilities. You're still The Ancient Mother's grand-daughter ,and her favorite one too " the woman replied.

"You can read minds?", Eleanor asked.

The woman nodded.

"I'm Elphaba, The Witch Custodian Of Law, Second to the Ancient Mother", she said with a bow. " Shall we?", She asked summoning the portal and Blake nodded, taking Eleanor's hand in his and following Elphaba.

As soon as they all entered, the portal closed.

You'd think in Witch town you'd find witches in dark coloured dresses  or bright red with long black cloaks but it was the direct opposite. You could actually see nobody along the way. Kids weren't playing like when Eleanor was a kid and she'd play together with her sister Briada and the other kids.

She missed her sister.

"What's wrong love?", Blake asked sensing her worry.

" I'm just worried about Bree ,she's been gone for too long and you know no where's safe these days ", she replied.

"We'll find her", Blake assured her. " I think she wanted to be alone that's why she left without our notice ", Blake added.

Eleanor nodded and said," I think you're right Blake. She was so happy when I told her I was pregnant", she added.

"Elphaba right?" Eleanor asked unsure. She didn't want to upset the witch. Witches don't like it when you mess up their names.

"Yes",she replied.

"Where is everybody? No one's around,not even the kids", Eleanor pointed out.

"You're not the only one living in fear,we all do,She replied. We were attacked some months ago. The necromancers were able to revive dead vampires and witches to attack us. We lost some lives because no one here was expecting a child", she added.

Just then Blake pulled Eleanor closer to his body in a protective stance.

"Don't worry Alpha,we have a protective barrier,the portal. The only one who can open it is the Ancient Mother and I", Elphaba assured Blake making him relax a bit.

"What is wrong with those creatures?", Eleanor said clearly upset. "Aren't they supposed to be witches too?", She asked.

" No they're not witches nor wizards, they're just practicioners of magic. We were born with magic, then learned it. Even some of my kind are evil", she completed.

"Can you smell me?", She asked Blake. He sniffed her then nodded.

"What do I smell like?", She asked again.

"Like fresh rain", he replied with his eyes wide.

" I don't smell rotten and you don't feel like gagging, correct?", She asked again and they all nodded.

"Not all witches and wizards are evil,she proceeded. The evil ones smell rotten, the rest of us smell like fresh rain. We don't smell different like you wolves", she explained.

"All wolves have different smell, correct?, She asked and once again they nodded.

The only ones that smell rotten are...

" Rouges ", Blake replied.

"Our world is in chaos, Elphaba said. And the Ancient Mother believes only you two can save us all. The Supernatural realm is in your hands", she added.

Just as Eleanor was about to ask a question, Elphaba interrupted her. "We're here", she said and ushered them in.

It wasn't a cottage like years back, it was a little brick house. Witch town had indeed changed.

"Ancient Mother", Elphaba said and bowed, then left from there.

" I've been waiting for you Eleanor", The Ancient Mother said.

"Grand ma, I need your help", Eleanor cried.

"The visions have started coming", The Ancient Mother stated and it wasn't even a question.

"How did you know?", Blake asked.

"I know everything my dear boy, past, future and the present but not all I see needs to be said",she replied.

"Ancient Mother, I ...

Blake started but was cut off.

The name's Gaia but you can call me grandma too, if you'd like that.

"Grandma,what does those visions mean?", Blake said and Eleanor's heart started beating fast. She was sure everyone could hear her heart beat.

"You're not killing anyone Eleanor, definitely not your mate or your pup", Gaia assured her. "It's a warning. A warning that the war is close and it may even involve your child and that someone you love dearly will betray you",She ended.

"What should I do then grandma?, Eleanor asked.

"Nothing", Gaia replied.

"Nothing?", Blake asked.

"Nothing",Gaia said once again.

"The situation is not in your hands,Gaia continued. The saviour, the greatest protector to have ever walked our world,lies in your womb",She continued with a smile.

"Your pup is more powerful than you think, it will have the witch abilities and still keep the wolf abilities. You just have to wait till it's ready to save us all. It's our only hope", Gaia added.

"Did my pendant call out to you?", Eleanor asked and Gaia nodded.

"It's a protective charm, it serves as a guardian,wards away evil. When your child it's born, put it around it's neck",She told them.

"One last thing,Gaia started. Watch out for your betrayer, you'd be shocked", she added.

"Who's it?, Please tell me", Eleanor pleaded.

"I can't, like I said before, not all I see needs to be said", she replied sadly. " The only person you can trust is your mate",She added and she could see Blake relax. She needed to set the young King free from his thoughts.

"It's late, let me show you to your rooms", Gaia said and gave them rooms to sleep in and bid them goodnight.

That night, Eleanor had none of those visions. She slept like a baby. It could be because now she knew the meaning of her visions. Morning came and after breakfast they were ready to leave. As Alpha King, Blake had duties to the wolves even if every Pack had an Alpha. He still needed to be around.

Eleanor had asked Gaia about the abnormal screams she heard last night. And Gaia had explained that it happened every day. It was the necromancers awakening the dead. They were so close to the witches, Eleanor thought. The world was really bad. She prayed the Moon Goddess protected them till her pup was born and ready to save them. She finally kissed her grandma goodbye. Gaia didn't leave no stone unturned and warned Blake against hurting her favorite granddaughter. Gaia asked Elphaba to take them back and left them. The walk to the portal wasn't like last time, it was quite short. No one talked. Elphaba summoned the portal and the group went through it,then it closed.

They walked to their car and continued their journey home. Eleanor was really tired so slept through the whole ride.

WEEKS LATER

Ever since Blake and Eleanor's trip to witch town, things were better. Eleanor no longer had those visions and she could give birth any moment from now. Blake didn't go to the Pack House no more. He just worked from home. The only problem he had was that of the necromancers and the Vampires. The Vampires were killing the humans and needed to be taken care of. But how?, was the question.

They would be holding a council meeting after Eleanor gives birth and they'd take it from there.

Blake was so deep in thought that he got startled when Beta Kobe barged into his office.

"You scared the shit out of me Kobe,what is it?, Don't tell me we're under attack. Did you protect the Queen?", He asked even though he knew that wasn't the case.

"It's even worse"Kobe replied dramatically. "The Queen Luna is in labour", he said trying to catch his breath.

"Why didn't you say so", Blake said and left from there, running to the Pack hospital. As soon as the receptionist saw him,she directed him to the Special ward. He sat outside waiting, hearing his wife's screams. He suddenly got nervous. His hands were shaking.

"Calm down man, she'll be okay",Kobe assured him and sat next to him.
