Elsa's POV
I clutched tightly my light weight box to my thumping heart as I arrived at the mansion. My father's gentle plea echoed through my thoughts.
"Just two months Elsa, endure till I return baby."
I felt a teardrop drizzle down my cheek, and stopped it halfway with the back of my palm. I slightly raised my pleated maxi skirt and walked confidently into the grey painted building despite feeling the opposite.
"State your business here."
I heard a cold voice throw the word at me and my mustered confidence dwindled, replaced by a fear of the unknown. I know next to nothing about the Davidsons, except that they are stinkingly wealthy and influential.
Rich enough to give my father and I the average life we live despite him being a mere driver.
"I...I came...I am Elsa Williams, Patrick William's daughter, he told...."
I haven't concluded the word when the gate opened on its own, I was mesmerized. I didn't see anyone as I walked my way closer to the front door. Despite the gigantism of the compound, it looked deserted,
Or so I thought.
I was about to knock on the glassdoor when it miraculously opened on its own.
So maleficent! I was hooked.
I was amazed the moment I stepped foot into the house, the seemingly deserted house was bubbling with about thirteen people dressed in check aprons cleaning, laundering, arranging and other chores. But one thing baffled me,
They all pretended I was invisible until...
"Oh there you are darling, you must be Patrick's daughter,"
I nodded in affirmation as the strange robust woman said in a fancy accent.
"Move down the hallway ahead, the third room by the left is yours, take a rest."
Before I could appreciate or question her, she had moved ahead from me and dejectedly I staggered forward towards the long hallway as she described. To my astonishment, I couldn't find the rooms yet until I stumbled upon an ugly sight.
A grown man in blue underpants with his erection bulging out.
I was flustered and looked away instantly.I heard him chuckle softly. He didn't seem embarrassed by it. Instead, he walked past me and I couldn't help but wonder if he was mentally deranged walking naked in broad daylight in a house filled with people.
I finally found the rooms and counted till the third. I joyously made up for it when he passed by me again. I turned slightly to catch a glimpse of his face, and sadly.
Our eyes met.
All I saw staring back at me was disdain, so I looked away instantly and turned the doorknob. I dropped my bag refusing to relish in the excitement of how spacious and beautifully decorated my room was.I would have rather preferred our small apartment than waking up to stumbling upon a naked man.
I could swear I heard moans from the room next to mine, but I wasn't great at eavesdropping, so instead, I settled down my box and started unpacking. The closet was too big for my meager clothes, so I just arranged everything in one section.
