Not too long ago, Sofea Newton was a free girl with a lot of dreams and aspirations. All the blonde wanted was to own a pastry shop which by the way, she was working hard towards achieving.

But one of life's numerous trials, but this time in the form of a client who walked into the coffee shop where she worked and ended up ruining her whole life.

The lady made a whole scene for coffee which Sofea Newton mistakenly spill on her clothing. To the blonde, the stain could have easily been gotten rid of with water and a little bit of detergent, but this lady insisted on humiliating her and one thing Sofea Newton does not tolerate is disrespect.

True, she struggled financially, but no way was she willingly going to let another female belittle her without getting an ass whoop

So she fought back.

"You are just a servant so you have to obey me," the lady yelled, and Sofea was fuming. And before she knew it, the blonde's hand met with her cheeks and not in a soothing manner.

It was safe to say the sound of the slap could be heard from down the streets.

"I have tolerated your insults and arrogance and I am not going to do so anymore," Sofea yelled out and before the blonde could realize what was going on, sirens could be heard and the next minute, she was surrounded by police cars.

Sofea looked around frightfully, trying to comprehend why she was surrounded by the police.

Scared by the sight of the officers, the lady, whose name she had come to realize was Ms Jhenie Collins, stood from the ground with the help of her boss, the coffee shop owner and maintains her feet on the ground.

Sofea found it difficult to believe what had just happened to her. The anger that could be seen in her eyes was enough to set an entire city ablaze.

Still pissed off, Jhenie Collins yelled out; "Arrest this lowlife of a creature standing before me."

Sofea's eyes flaunt wide open and she began to feel her heartbeat rise above its normal level as she heard the police officer say words she's come to memorize from watching movies, only this time it was directed to her.

"You are under arrest for assault on Ms Jhenie Collins, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to a lawyer and if you do not have one, the state will provide one for you." he recited as he cuffed her.

Reality had just dawned on Sofea. Realizing what was happening, she looked at her boss who stood by Ms Collins hoping that he would say something to stop them from taking her, but what wishful thinking that was, because it was crystal clear he wasn't going to defend her.

Sofea Newton had no one in her life that could come to her aid. Her best friend and roommate Maelor wasn't any different from her. They carried out odd jobs here and there just to meet the high demands of life.

Entering the police vehicle, Sofea Newton looked and saw Jhenie Collins enter a luxurious sports car intending to follow the police car to the station.

"What have I gotten myself into?" Sofea asked, feeling afraid of what might happen next. Holding her phone in hand, she asked the officer if she could make a call.

He looked at her like she was a filthy rat and he responded,

"It better be quick because you are not our guest,"

Her heartbeat increased as she heard him say those words because she wasn't certain what her fate will be.

So, she quickly dialled Maelor's cell.

After three rings, Sofea heard her friend's voice on the other end, and the ever-cheerful voice sent a silent whisper of faith down her spine.
