PROLOGUE

When the heavy wind blew and the sound of the rooftop struggling to stay still echoed in her ear, she felt startled. Goosebumps settled on her skin. Slowly, she peeped, but her vision was still blurry, so she shut her eyes again.

As if the wind wanted her awake, it made a serene sound. This time, her clothes waved into the air while she clutched them, battling to keep them down, but her efforts were wasted.

It felt like a dream, and she was almost convinced that it was not until she let her eyes open again, this time, able to see the premises she was in. Her eyes bulged as she scanned the area. She concealed her lips with her palms, scared that screaming would attract anyone closer.

Last night, she had left the palace to go enjoy the full moon festival like every other person, even though she was a slave. The last thing she could recall was the sudden rage of pleasure that took over her after a few hours....and despite how she tried to control her emotions, her body betrayed her.

She had left the festival ground to a corner to adjust to what her body wanted. Her body was on fire-it hurt her-but the pleasure couldn't let her think about the burning rage of flame in her. She tried to stand, but a sudden rush of pain streamed all over her body to her spines, causing her to let out a scream before succumbing back to the floor. She swallowed bitterly and shut her eyes for some time while trying to regulate her breathing.

When she opened her eyes again, the pains had dissipated gradually. Slowly, she stood to her feet, feeling sore between her legs.

"Did I wound myself there? Is it because I rubbed my fingers there last night? But it wasn't painful....." she mumbled while gradually lifting her gown. "Moon goddess! I was raped last night. I've been disvirgined. Who the heck did this to me? Was I drugged or what???"

Who was it that could take advantage of her because she was wolfless and couldn't protect herself? If her brothers got to know about it, she would certainly be executed.

Her worst nightmare was not having any memory of how she ended up in the hut and who it was that did that to her. She was yet to understand why her body was on fire last night...and then this.

She winked constantly, hoping to hold back her tears. She was certainly going to be punished for being out of the palace because slaves had no right to leave when not authorized to. Last night at the festival, she was expected to return with the others, but she didn't...and if word got out that she lost her virginity, her brothers would vent their anger on her.

"I hate this cruel world. I keep losing everything I cherish," she screamed and covered her face, sniffing continously.

It seemed like her tears awakened a demon, because she was startled by the sudden strong wind that threw up the rooftop of the hut. Her eyes flew open as she looked around. What sort of wind would do that?

"I really have to leave this place alive, at least," she told herself and bent to pick up her footwear when a sudden raspy masculine voice sent chills all over her body.

She halted, darting her eyes about. "What is going on? Why can't I see who's speaking?" she asked herself, feet glued to the floor, too heavy that she couldn't raise them any longer.

"You called for me last night, and I answered you, female. Don't make it look like I forced you into it....because you solely asked me to do with you whatever I wish." that voice said to her, more like a command and a growl.

Her footwear slipped from her palm. She twisted her lips, "There's no way I asked for that. I can never!!!"

"It was a mini heat, and I'm certain you won't stand your full heat. But in all, make sure we don't meet again, or you might meet your demise that day."

She sneered and pulled a straight face. "You must think that I'm scared of you. Who the hell are you to take over me without my consent and still blame me? My heat? What business do you have with my heat?" her voice raised at each word. Eyes flickered while she tightened her fist, her head cocked to the side.

There was silence for some time, and then the voice came again, "I am the CURSED LYCAN KING!!"

Eyes widened. Her belly twisted into a knot. Cursed what? How did she end up having a thing to do with such a savage man that no one has ever seen? She shook her head. He must have mistook her for someone else. There's no way she called for him.

First, she was a wolfless werewolf slave princess. Second, the werewolves and humans are adversaries to the Lycans, so they should have nothing in common.

The cursed lycan king is one that no one-even most of the lycans-had ever seen. He is said to be a dark lord and would kill anyone who crosses his path. If she was really alive after encountering him, then the moon goddess must be so merciful to her.

Without saying a single thing again, she picked up her footwear from the floor and took to her heels, running as fast as her legs could carry her.

This would be a secret only she would know, and the best thing she would do to herself was to avoid whatever would make her encounter such a coldhearted dark king again.

He was the king that no one had ever seen. Even his species are so scared of seeing his face-KING GODRIC. And, she was an alpha princess demoted to a slave. A wolfless werewolf that everyone looks down on-ODESSA.

CHAPTER 1

SIX YEARS LATER

THE MOON SCARLET PACK

The ceramic plate slipped from her palm and shattered on the floor, calling the attention of the people around her. She stiffened at that spot, staring at the pieced plate while the chef hurried closer.

She bent to pick them, but a strong yank on her hair caused her to let out a loud, painful groan. The pain was excruciating. She struggled to escape the chef, but the grip became intense.

"You stupid wolfless thing!" The chef pushed her forward, and she slammed her head on the cabinet. "Why can't you do anything right? Whatever you lay your hands on would be destroyed. That's why you don't have a wolf and common sense."

"Odessa!" came another voice from the corridor. They all swirled their neck towards the door to see who it was that mentioned her name. The chief beta of the Alpha Kings showed up before them. "You must follow me now....."
